  1. QUOTE(GoRowand33 @ Jun 11, 2006 -> 10:39 PM) I just bought some wilco albums and their pretty solid yankee hotel foxtrot is probably one of the stronger albums of the 2000s from what I've heard i think kicking television is the best produced live album of all time. Nels Cline + WIlco is just a whole new experience. He makes the "a ghost is born" songs so much more vital and wonderful.

    Soprano's Sunday...

    show keeps getting worse
  4. QUOTE(ThinWhiteDuque @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 07:57 PM) Well, Ozzie had the Sunday lineup in full force today...What do you expect? I'm actually impressed that we were able to score 2 runs. Basically, Ozzie put MB in a position where he had to pitch a perfect game to win...And the Rangers can swing the bats a bit, in case you hadn't noticed. this means you think with our regular lineup we could've scored 11 runs. MB sucked.
  5. QUOTE(EvilMonkey @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 04:38 PM) But will thery really? Do you watch a news program for the host? Do you know of anyone that has switched networks or programs to follow a host? yes. yes. yes. Carol Marin great example. GREEN/but no they hired her to get more liberal/GREEN
  6. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jun 4, 2006 -> 01:39 PM) Has any band been more fan friendly then the Dead? I actually liked the seemingly absurd pairing of Hornsby and the Dead. It reminded me of the Munsters I only attended a couple Dead concerts, and they were past their prime, but what a party. if you consider being fan friendly overcharging everything.
  7. i do mind...say i do want to read a book by some radical islamist to try and understand what we are dealing with. I don't know how the gov't will look at that, but i have a right to educate myself on anything without prejudice.
  8. QUOTE(EvilMonkey @ Jun 2, 2006 -> 02:35 AM) Tex, that link had nothing to do with the title. It had to do with Moore taking pieces from the others guys work and basiclly putting them in his piece without asking, or paying. As for the name, it is well known that Bradbury didn't like it, but since it can be considered a parody, it is fair game. ...
  9. hahahaha, it was NME...i knew only they could produce this britpop garbage
  10. QUOTE(sti3 @ Jun 2, 2006 -> 01:56 PM) Damn new Junior Boys. Sweet. Did the first one ever come out domestic? amazon says yes... and if you buy it with arcade fire's funeral its only 27.89 for both!
  11. top 15 is nearly all british...smells like NME but...there is no arctic monkeys so it couldn't be
  12. should be titled "Moore gets 'moore' publicity for Fahrenheit 9/11"

  16. when he said we only hit 69 doubles...when teh actual total was 78...strange number to mix up with...
  17. so much has been proven ridiculously improbable in that move its not even worth it.
  18. its cool to say you hate dave grohl because he's popular and i only listen to obscure icelandic ambient sounds made by strangled cats. soxtalk opinion: The Dismemberment Plan
  19. did anyone laugh at the "standing room only" crowd remark? what a dumb piece of information to include.
  20. ABC will win if they can prove it was reliable sources in the past...libel casees are hard to win against the media
  21. QUOTE(illinilaw08 @ May 25, 2006 -> 07:36 PM) An interesting obersvation (I think) is that Desmond really parallels Odysseus from The Oddysey with his lady friend, Penny, equaling Penelope, the wife that waited for years for him to return. Furthermore, Desmond was involved in a race around the world, a voyage much like Odysseus who also encountered a cyclops which someone said has 4 toes. I really don't know what, if anything, this means... just some more Lost mythology maybe. As far as getting started on the show, I got started this season by watching Season 1 on DVD (finished those in about 4 days), and I can honestly say that I would rent/buy season 1 right before season 2 comes out so you can watch them all the way through. Also of note, Lost is the best drama of tv by far, I love this show. awesome catch... and i started catching up on lost over spring break...and i definitely miss just being able to go through 3 episodes at once and knowing i could watch the next episode whenever
  22. but that's just a rumor it started in africa because scientists are racist
  23. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 25, 2006 -> 08:35 PM) Someone watches the View. i watched it with my mom over spring break...
  24. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ May 25, 2006 -> 06:43 PM) Oooooh you guys are too funny. I know there are reasons that we wouldnt go on the View. But I am just curious why a chick band like the Dixie Chicks would refuse this. And on top of that, they pissed off the hostesses of the view while rejecting it, so there must have been something said. Are any of the View hostesses outspoken Bush supporters? Not that 99% of Soxtalk would know the answer to that question... hasselback is the most disgusting bush apologist i've ever seen...
  25. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 25, 2006 -> 04:55 PM) Another question... Is the guy who we were led to believe was the leader of the Others, also the guy that was in the hatch before Desmond? i don't quite understand...the guy in the hatch with desmond was the guy who trained Sayed to torture...
