  9. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ May 5, 2006 -> 05:25 PM) Well, back to the basics: Get that runner in scoring position with less than two outs for your 3-4-5 I don't care who you are, or how many prodigious sluggers you have. If it works in the playoffs, you don't do something different during the regular season. You should treat every single game as if it's a playoff game, although that will clash with the amount of rest that you need to give players during the regular season. It's not all-or-nothing in the regular season, and then conservatism in the playoffs. IT IS CONSERVATISM AT ALL TIMES. with our 3-4-5, 1st base is scoring position.
  10. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 5, 2006 -> 06:07 PM) I hope the Chicago White Sox defeat the Kansas City Royals this evening. out on a limb.
  11. QUOTE(Texsox @ May 3, 2006 -> 03:37 AM) Greek Town, China Town, Little Italy I'm not so certain immigrants in the past were much different. ^^^^ so true.
  12. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 3, 2006 -> 04:20 AM) Can you actually offer up any evidence that more than 0.000001% of those who walked out were actually illegal and not just joining the rally to offer support? i'm sorry, but the nitpicking of evilmonkeys post has to stop. He said IF those 25% were all illegals then that amt. was being spent on non citizens. That is a valid argument.
  13. QUOTE(Damen @ May 5, 2006 -> 03:02 PM) kind of like my boy Ross Gload's sb a few games back. yeeeeaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

    20-8

    guys i've said it before and i'll say it again...winning is more fun than losing...
  15. with an offense like this i'm completely against wasting outs on sac bunts. Last year we needed to...and this year we can do it if we need to...but we DON'T...so lets just keep bashing.
  16. QUOTE(SoxAce @ May 2, 2006 -> 05:51 AM) (NOONE can blame them, gotta take care of the family) its more you should take what the market gives you. When its a few million, location/coach/team can come into factor but when there is such a large discrepency you have to take the larger deal
  17. QUOTE(mr_genius @ May 2, 2006 -> 05:10 AM) of course they are, homeruns are the only thing that matters in baseball duh ... ... ... i'm just saying i don't mind screwing other players after years of sitting in the back seat. So as long as he stays on Sportscenter he can get the fans vote likely.
  18. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 1, 2006 -> 03:55 PM) Hate to say it, but it might be hard for Ozzie to actually bring Thome. IIRC, the AS game is at a National League park this year, which means no DH's, and there's a ton of guys out there playing good 1b or with big reputations. Tex may get voted in again, Giambi, Shelton, PK, Sexson's sure to heat up at some point, Big Papi (He's got to be there somewhere), etc. thome just needs to hit dingers cause SC has been covering those like its nothing. That will help him get votes regardless of stats.
  19. guys, my friend told me the sox lost and i was so pissed that i benched more than i ever have(meaning more reps actually), then i saw they won and i went back to my old, s***ty form.
  20. QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 1, 2006 -> 07:48 PM) Their pitching isnt really that good. They have played pretty crappy teams other than us, and we swept their asses. Their bullpen sucks, their closer is horrid, and their offense is like us in 2001-2004. people played the "weak" schedule on us all of the first half of last year. I don't buy it.
  21. QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ May 2, 2006 -> 12:23 AM) Why is this about protecting other people's money? This is about doing what's right and we ought to make sure that anyone who does work here, does it legally so that they can do it safely and without economic exploitation. you missed the point of the question... (anyway for them it was being free from what they felt was a sort of empirical rule.( I mean for all the people clamoring that they leave, and then they leave and teh economy suffers. Does anyone see that a possible parallel. it wasn't an opinion it was a question.
  22. the sound is the most successful trainwreck i can imagine. if someone were to describe to me how awesome "this british white guy, who doesn't so much rap as talk, over cheesy beats" i'd be like sweet, i'll check that out but its almost so bad its good. Plus he's hilarious. The new one is funny.
