that seemed like a real objective article. that was so ridiculous it seems fake. IF they are gonna claim she says it was part of the vast right wing conspiracy, quote her. It seemed like she said what the media, citizens and fellow politicians have been saying...why was there so much delay. This article seemed like utter bulls***.

we shouldn't have published the pentagon papers because they were too old we shouldn't have published the nixon tapes because they were too old

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 16, 2006 -> 05:37 AM) On the other hand, I can understand completely how some people could not be into them. yeah i can't.

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Feb 15, 2006 -> 06:49 PM) It IS a story, but it's a small story. That's my point. Now that the media is pissed off, it's a HUGE story. when jimmy carter getting attacked by an angry gopher is being reported in history classes, the vice president shooting a guy in the face is a bit more important and relevant.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Feb 16, 2006 -> 03:22 AM) .......but still better than the other big fests. By the way, Intonation will happen again this year, book it. i hope so...that was such a brilliant festival. I was very pleased with it. It was a pretty good location...some tough sound sometimes but the shade, price, and water fill up station was great. COME ON!!! KIDSMOKE!!!

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Feb 16, 2006 -> 03:09 AM) My point about Petty and Raitt is that every big show starts off as a showcase for new bands, but eventually has mainstream stuff thrown in. We've yet to see the Lolla line up, but I think Coachella has the best one so far. coachella lineup was pretty weak in my opinion at least compared to the last 2 years.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Feb 16, 2006 -> 03:10 AM) Wilco's YHF is a really good record, too bad they blew their entire load on it. :rolly listen to Kicking Television...not only is it the best produced live record i've heard in a while, it highlights the amazing addition of Nels CLine and WILL give you a new appreciation for a ghost is born. Plus summerteeth is right up there with YHF for me... she's a jar and via chicago are very beautiful

QUOTE(mr_genius @ Feb 16, 2006 -> 01:52 AM) the new Lightning Bolt album is good i know...dead cowboy is my favorite song...where'd that come from? I just love how my morning jacket mixes the metal/country thing so perfectly...its very CCR like. I love it. The guys got a great voice.
-
i'm suprised you guys didn't say my morning jacket...IMO surely the second best american rock band going behind wilco.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Feb 16, 2006 -> 01:26 AM) maybe CYHSY just to see if they're worth the hype. they aren't and nobody is sure where that hype came from.

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Feb 15, 2006 -> 03:20 AM) Yea, I give a STFU and a "f*** you" to the press. LOUDLY. You know why? Because these f***s, none of them, have any integrity anymore. NONE. They're a bunch of spoon fed, hypcritical f***balls who all try to scoop each other but don't want to work for it. On top of that, they all have their own agendas to "get that break". I have no respect for these asswipes. And let me be clear, I mean "old" AND "new" media. If ANY of these slimeballs had ANY integrity, maybe I wouldn't feel this way. In hearing the snippets of news on my traffic station, I'm completely disgusted by ALL of these assholes and how they are handling this story, and it's not just this one, it's every story. :rolly :rolly :rolly

they followed through on my dream. That place has never gotten my order right.

QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ Feb 15, 2006 -> 12:41 AM) Bonnaroo everyone was telling me how great the bonnaroo lineup was and while radiohead is my fav. band i'd only really want to see like 1/5 of the acts and their ticket prices are f***ing expensive and i've heard its always ran rather sloppily
-
i have no desire to go to this...sure there would be some bands i'd love to see, but for 150 in sweltering humid chitown heat, with 6 dollar water bottles and backed up portapotties...i'll just pray that intonation happens again.

hahaha, the duckhunt was sooo classic.

i grew up with 3 older brothers so its hilarious to me...in 5 years he'll look back on this and laugh hysterically

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 06:06 PM) I thought the title was funny also. Hopefully the guy is alright. it appears so, i'm afraid i'm not that knowledgable on what is used for quail hunting but it can't be that powerful if the guy took shells to the face and was never in any great danger even at age 75

QUOTE(Texsox @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 12:07 PM) Funny thing is the GOP keeps talking about this stuff, it never happens, but by then people think it happens. Nice technique of divisivness. Notice that no Dem has even really talked about the accident, it seems like a non-issue to me. Accidents happen, it is a shame. The only ones talking about making it a political issue are Taa Daa, the GOPerheads around hear. Wouldn't the world be a betterplace if we didn't make paper tigers and make up stuff about each other? But if this is talked about, let's see how long until someone mentions Bill Clinton, y'all always do. just like how the liberals of the country would make sure that air marshall who killed the man who claimed he had a bomb would get fired right...that did happen right? No? They probably wanted it to, though

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 03:56 AM) Perhaps they couldn't be sure of every gathering Abramoff attended. It was known he attended holiday events, whereas other dates his presence couldn't be verified. It's not the White House's obligation to prove they haven't crossed paths. Let those who are looking for any semblance of a connection collect their proof. If the evidence is located--and not just grainy photos rivaling Zapruda's film--then you have all the material to completely humiliate the administration (even more). if its not their obligation to disprove, then they shouldn't have made the announcement that they had only been to holiday parties together...
-
QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 12:59 AM) Sure, it contradicts a lie he never attended events aside from holiday gatherings. Still doesn't prove they met. why would they lie about that then? why not say they've met at holiday gatherings, but have only been in attendance elsewhere?

QUOTE(EvilMonkey @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 12:46 AM) C'mon, I was that close to Clinton back in 1996. I was in DC for a friend's wedding, and his father was a big contributor, so the wedding party got the unofficial White House tour. While none of us got to meet him, I and the rest of theparty were at least that close while my buddy's dad went over to say hi. You think he remembers me? (If so, that would be scary!) This photo contradicts a lie. Hence it being published.
