  1. well, best in this title should be substituted for "favorite" because thats what this is... My List: King of Carrot Flowers pt. 1 - this is my fav. song on the album, particularly because of mangums drawl on each word...it was beautiful...sorry, this is Neutral milk hotel song from ITAOTS For Real - Okkervil River i love this song. Really morbid lyrics but the slide guitar and slamming i just love... This is just a modern rock song - Belle and Sebastian i love belle and sebastian and this is a particular highlight Black Frank - Brian Eno i love the tongue in cheek way this song is written plus any eno song has some great guitar work Where is My Mind - The Pixies it was between this and debaser, but i love the eeiriness of this song...the distorted voice to make it sound like a dolphin, it's just a perfect song The Classical - The fall just a personal favorite of mine The Endless Plain of Fortune - John Cale, i love the piano, the strange way of singing, the tempo, i love Paris in 1919 When You Sleep - My Bloody Valentine the crazy synths (i think, hard to know what instrument is ever actually playing in a MBV song, the two voices singing...wonderful How to Dissappear COmpletely - Radiohead the climax of the amazing first four tracks to Kid A...haunting in how it makes you feel claustrophobic before breaking out of the box I want her she wants me - The zombies wonderful melodies God Only Knows - the beach boys

  7. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Nov 18, 2005 -> 06:45 PM) I think we as Sox fans learned how much talent it costs to aquire fiscal flexibility last year in the Carlos Lee deal. Maybe Philly fans haven't learned this yet. awesome post/point
  8. QUOTE(FLsouthsider @ Nov 18, 2005 -> 05:42 PM) If you have an actual TiVo (not a clone or a DVR from your cable company, etc.) you can get software from the TiVo Web site called TiVo Desktop. There should be a USB jack on the back of your TiVo unit. Plug that into your router, install the software and go to town. It will allow you to pull recorded shows from your tivo to your computer. Plus it also allows you to play any music files on your computer through your tivo unit, or view photos on your TV. careful thou, my friend did this and it slowed down his computer soooo much...

just saw Good Night, and Good Luck i thought it was excellent acting, directing, and writing. I loved it, perfectly captured ...well, i don't know obviously, but i loved how it showed the absolute fear mccarthy put in people who were true americans. I loved it. Murrow was badass

    "My Humps"

QUOTE(Yoda @ Nov 17, 2005 -> 10:08 PM) What the hell? Seriously! I heard that song while I was in my brother’s car yesterday and I couldn’t help but change the station. I’ve heard of tons and tons of bad music, but this is just vile. yes yes, awful, concur but if you are gonna have girls at the party...they go f***in nuts for that song...same with that bananas song and they are the two worst songs i've ever heard.

  15. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Nov 16, 2005 -> 07:26 PM) *SLURP* I'm happy I'll get to see a majority of this while home on breaks, and I'll tape those. I'll have to request tapings of this from the people at home for the rest. amen to that, i was so happy to see how i'll be home for nearly all of em
  16. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 10:39 PM) Iguchi should be the #3 hitter because he is the best All-Around Hitter on this team. If he was a #3 hitter he could probably hit 30 Home Runs and 100 RBI. i'd say thats a long shot honestly.
  17. any batter that can hit a right handers slider would be appreciated.
  18. could anyone point me to a place where i could find what that bruce living hissy fit was
  19. QUOTE(Sox Hustler @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 08:29 PM) I know they aren't raising prices by a lot but they have been raising it higher the past 2 years. At least from what I remember. How much more are they gonna raise it? I go to as many games as I can but with parking you're guarenteed to spend about $50 bucks each time you go to a game. seriously, the train is the only way to go for me...i can't WAIT for the metra stop!
  20. living in mizzou now, i'm gonna listen to every cardinals broadcast...
