So the 86 Super Bowl win was a FLUKE. Since the Bears haven't done it again. Now you're getting the idea.

Let's see Raiders, 81 and 84 Redskins 82 and 88 Niners 80, 85, 89 That's 7 Super Bowls won by three teams. Add the 1980 Steelers (the last of 4 SB) the 1986 Giants (who in 90 would win their second SB) and then the FLUKE 85 Bears. Who are still waiting for a return trip to the Super Bowl. If winning a championship every 21 years isn't a FLUKE, I don't know what is. 63. 85. 2006??? With the losers on and running the Bears that's really going to happen. Is that so hard for you to figure out? Oh don't answer that, it may take you forever to figure it out, moron.
-
Look morons, every team but the Steelers, Bears, and Giants, won two or more Super Bowls in the 80's. But the Steelers finished their great run with their 4th Super Bowl. And the Giants won their second Super Bowl within five years of winning their first Super Bowl. The Bears? Still waiting. That's a fluke you morons. Redskins won two. Raiders won two. Niners won two. What happened to the FLUKE Bears? Got destroyed in the 89 NFC Championship game. Haven't been close since then. If that isn't a fluke nothing is. Isn't disgraceful you are White Sox fans. :finger
-
You guys are all morons. The FLUKE was the Bears winning a Super Bowl. They could ahve been the team of the 80's. But they proved what a FLUKE they were. I would ban racist idiots who kiss up to Rowand. Freaking moron.

I heard that McMahon opened up a restaurant after the Bears fluke Super Bowl season. That restaurant closed down just like McMahon went down. What was the name of that restaurant? Also a couple years ago The Worst Damn Sports Show Period did an interview with McMahon and a couple other Bears from the Super Bowl team, at his new restaurant. I think that restaurant was called Chicago Stadium but the Blackhawk's owner sued over the rights to the Chicago Stadium name and won. So what is McMahon's second restaurant called? Is it still opened?

The White Sox have five starters on Jan 30th. Big deal. If somebody gets hurts. Somebody isn't pitching well. What then?? Better to have more of something than less. I would rather have 6 starters than 4. And when El Do nothing proves he's a fraud we'll all be screaming for another starter. But I'm not a Weaver fan. Also when Jim McMahon was with the SD Chargers be blew snot on T J Simers because McMahon didn't like some of the things Simers wrote. Proving once again what a jerk McMahon really was.

He's a pussy.

What I remember most about this was BlackJack talking a bunch of crap while hiding behind Frank Thomas. If he had any guts he wouldn't need to hide behind Frank.
-
I understand your point. While I am not thin skinned but being a smartass could turnoff new people who might want to post. Some people who might be valuable posters.
-
Thanks for the reply. I really didn't know who Mario was. I didn't need a smartass answer like somebody.

Hey Chisoxfn check you PM. Any pictures of SoxFest been posted online except for the ones on the White Sox site???
-
The White Sox will have Lisa Dergan coming to Comiskey. Who needs Jennie Finch. Now if they could sign Kris Benson that means Anna Benson!!!!!

I don't see why this love fest for Stone. And I certainly don't see what qualifies Stone to even be mentioned as a GM. No stupid announcer should move up to a GM spot. It happened once and that was a disaster.

White Sox exact offer to A.J. Pierzynski...

When are you going to take down the Xmas lights from your trailer? Don't use a racist term. You trailer trash. -
Ok the Marlins did trade alot of the players who won the 97 WS for prospects. But let's see 2003 Marlins: WS MVP Josh Beckett. He was drafted by the Marlins. Luis Castillo 2nd. Signed by the Marlins from Latin America. Mike Lowell. Yankees draft pick and acquired in a trade from the Yankees for minor leaguers. Alex Gonza signed by the Marlins. Cabera- Marlins signed and developed. Brad Penny acquired in a trade for prospects that the Marlins signed and developed. 2 of their four starter in the WS, 4 of their key players had nothing to do with the trading of the big money players from 97. The only thing I'll give you is that the losing allowed them to get in a position to draft Beckett. Just like losing got the A's in a position to draft Mulder #2 and Zito #9. Beane is an arrogant overrated jerk. He's full of himself.
-
Well a former White Sox player got busted for corked bats. Albert Belle ring a bell? If you checked Sosa's state even pre steriod days, 93-96 He hit 30 HR each full season and had 25 in 94. Hmm seems he started meeting his potential.
-
This is something that I hate about White Sox fans. They have no patience!!!!!! A kid is 25 years old and if he doesn't win 18-20 games, he's a bum trade the guy. Look at all the crap being said about Joe B. I'm sure these were the same White Sox fans who were glad as hell to get rid of Sammy Sosa because he hadn't lived up to his potential. Good thing none of you were the Dodgers GM or you would have traded Beltre long ago.
-
I saw and replied on the White Sox MLB board about this subject. So are there any other WIU current students and graduates here on this board?
-
Lee didn't always get better. He had a year or two when it seemed like he slipped. And I think KW just wanted to reshape the team from a power hitting all or nothing type to one more on small ball.
-
But they are not all big money free agent signings either. And if the following is an excuse " top draft picks, so they finished with amongst the worst records in the MLB for a few seasons." Than the White Sox haven't had a Top 10 pick in forever. While the A's before beane got there had the 2nd pick in 98 (Mudler) and the 9th pick in 99 or 2000 (Zito) The beane and his beane sprouts are overrated.
-
What are you talking about? The 2003 wasn't a free agent signing after free agent signing. They did get Pudge but otherwise, they had mostly home grown players. And I should have been more clear and said the Marlins 2003 WS.
-
Doubts about Beane will always be there until and unless his team win a playoff series. All this crap about having a low payroll and still winning the division is crap. I would much rather be the Marlins who won a WS but not make the playoffs in any other year the past five years. And if any White Sox fans says anything different, they are liars.
