  1. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 17, 2016 -> 03:29 PM) That's too bad. Last year I went to see Rush at the UC. My brother was in town and wanted really good seats. Stubhub was ridiculous, there were some pricey deals on Craiglist for tickets up front. I contacted a couple of people and told them we would pay them an extra $100 per ticket if they put the tickets on Stubhub. They wouldn't do it, so obviously phony. Wound up waiting Stubhub out and got 2nd row dead center for my final Rush show. But everyone needs to be careful. Scammers are everywhere. Stubhub has a guarantee. Father bought 5 Bulls tix off Stubhub last year (which I use often). One person backed out so we sold their ticket to a scalper. Went to enter and got an error on their scanning machine. They took us to the back and told us the tickets were fake. They were about to escort us out of the building when the ticket person was called for an emergency elsewhere in the building. Luckily, we got to stay in the game So, we got our money back from Stubhub but also made money by selling the extra. Paid to be at the Bulls game...I feel bad if that ticket ended up being sold.
  2. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 21, 2016 -> 12:50 PM) Anyone know if Southwest offers curbside check-in at Midway? yes
  3. I have never understood why people say Stubhub is expensive. There are lower deck tickets for $11 right now on Stubhub, I went to opening day for $6. You know what's expensive? Buying tickets from a scalper and they end up being fake with no way of getting your money back.
  4. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jul 12, 2016 -> 11:57 AM) I was a Bernie supporter. I'm glad he's ending his campaign and endorsing Clinton. I'm voting for Clinton along the same "lesser evil" lines and am fine with that since I get to choose between the orange baby-hands narcissist scammer and a centrist Democrat who's drifted left over the years partially in response to Sanders' campaign. She's not the complete opposite of Sanders and he is smart enough to recognize that. Trump and what the Republican party generally represent are much, much farther away from Sanders' views than Clinton, and he correctly understands that a President Clinton is, at worst, much less damaging to his own causes than a President Trump. His supporters who melted down over the non-indictment and are now melting down over what anyone could have seen coming a couple of months ago are a small fringe of his supporters. An overwhelming majority are going to vote (D) come November. I was saying that we haven't seen two same-party candidates be so different in quite a while. It's quite the change from his "political revolution".
  5. QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 12, 2016 -> 11:30 AM) I don't recall him ever saying Clinton was evil, but if you thought the HRC/Sanders primary was nasty, then I hope you enjoyed your first primary. Definitely not my first primary. People are missing the point, sure, many primaries have been ugly. But how often or when was the last time we seen two same-party candidates so far off from each others beliefs and what they stand for? That is disappointing for his supporters who couldn't be MORE anti-other candidate (in this case HRC) He never said "HRC is evil" but he has continually called out her political stances while being the complete opposite of her political party But anyways, here's a video of him saying she is the lesser evil http://dailycaller.com/2016/05/22/bernie-s...-is-evil-video/
  6. I don't know who I am voting for or if I am voting for all but it wasn't going to be HRC or Bernie. But to see him roast her for as long as he has and then sit up there and talk about how fierce she is, wow. His facebook followers are absolutely roasting him. All those donations to help him fight to the convention and then to bow out and support everything that he had said was evil. That's pretty disappointing.
  7. This is great to watch. HRC is everything Bernie is against, now they are talking about being happy in each others corner and how they've long been friends. Bernie reluctantly clapping while HRC talks about Wall Street is magnificent. This country and our politicians are a joke.
  8. Anybody interested in going to the Saved by the Bell popup dinner "Saved by the Max" tonight in Wicker Park? I have two tickets for 9PM...can't make it.
  9. QUOTE (shipps @ Jul 7, 2016 -> 10:51 AM) I am really late to the party but I will say at the very least, especially initially, the Bulls team will be interesting to watch. That may fade in few weeks into the season when it doesnt work and Fredberg has done his latest bad impression of an NBA coach...but maybe they will gel. Maybe Wade brings a confidence to a team that had none whatsoever last year. Without Wade there is no question this would have been another train wreck of a season next year. We wouldn't have had any confidence for the future in FA's coming to the Bulls anyways. Now there is at least some hope that Wade has killed that stigma the Bulls have had following them which he ironically played a huge role in creating. ' Other than the Bulls outside shooting my biggest concern is Fredberg. The team has enough talent to be decent in the East for a couple years and roll the dice with a new found confidence of bringing in a big FA but if Fred cant figure it out they are f***ed. This dude is here for at least another three years. It is interesting to see Wade believed in him enough to sign here. I can't imagine he would come here if he hated the coach.
  10. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 11:43 PM) It's gonna be hilarious watching teams pack the paint against this team. Luckily, they now have two of the better slashers in the league. Doug and Niko need to be ready from beyond the arc this year.
  11. I slept on this over night before coming to this decision before seeing any other potential moves and seeing them play together. Rose has been hesitant due to injuries the past few years. Hardly gets to the line anymore, Bulls were one of the worst in the league getting to the line around 21 times a game last year, no playoffs. The year prior, they were one of the best in the league at getting to the line, playoffs. Butler and Wade alone will get to the line 15 times. Even with the changes in the NBA, slashing will always be effective in the way of tiring the defense and getting open looks for shooters and slowing down fast paced teams. This is where Doug and Niko really need to step up which remains to be seen. How Rondo fits in (maybe transition?), I do not know. But I do know that Wade will be on his ass if he isn't helping the squad. This isn't going to be a title team but even at this age, Wade is tight with every star in the league and could help nab someone even if we don't think so, Friends want to play with friends. We were in NBA hell even before the Wade signing, not bad enough to be a lottery team IMO, this doesn't hurt.
  12. According to the Boston Herald, Butler is still available via trade. LOL Probably trying to stir things up.
  13. QUOTE (scs787 @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 10:48 AM) Is Boogie a free agent next year? Just heard Mark Spears say he begged Rondo to stay this year. I was thinking of that earlier this week. He's still under contract but they are definitely tight. He said Rondo was a mentor.
  14. Anybody a House/Techno fan...Mamby on the Beach this weekend with a very solid lineup
  15. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jun 30, 2016 -> 10:16 AM) Noah is probably the most overrated Bulls player ever, right? I mean he was a fan favorite but he always made a lot of coin for what he provided. Personally, I think there is a correlation between Noah struggling/injured and the Bulls not making the playoffs. He did a lot of little things that don't count in box scores
  16. One day LeBron will be on the downslope. When that day comes, the East will finally be open business again. Maybe Jimmy can make some Team USA friends
  17. At any point, did you tell your best man what you actually wanted to do? This party only happens once.
  18. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 10:42 AM) WSD on fire the last 2 weeks. Broke the Shields, Latos, Rollins, and Anderson news. He said he didn't know about Morneau because he was so busy at work lol. Dude has some sources. WDS is from Barstool Sports. They are getting bigger by the day. Hilarious blog, too IMO
  19. It's amazing, I am annoyed lately too BUT if the way this season has been played was played in reverse, the tune would be totally different here. Sox start the year horribly but then catch fire to take over the Indians a .5 game at the end of May. #SoxFanLyfe Let's just see how it's going come the ASB, ay?
  20. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 24, 2016 -> 03:22 PM) Honolulu. What's an acceptable but normally priced hotel on Waikiki Beach area. Or an Air B and B suggestion. Is there much traffic traveling from Waikiki Beach area to Pearl Harbor and to and from the airport and to Hawaii's campus? Any favorite hotels not too expensive? Any must places to eat? Before you do anything, spend the $7 or $8 and purchase the app "Oahu Revealed" and familiarize yourself with it. If you are driving around, it will locate you and show you the nearest things to check out. The best way to find hidden beaches and sites that you otherwise would not know were near you Pear Harber is 20 miles or so, 40 minutes to an hour depending on traffic. Air BNB would be much cheaper option. Waikiki is fun but very touristy, we rented a car so we could drive to all the other areas on the island, highly recommend doing so. Not even joking, the most memorable meal of my life was at Opal Thai on the North Shore of Oahu. It was on Diners Driveins and Drives, it was amazing, the owner is the waiter and even if the food sucked, I would return just for him. This is going to be long-winded but we had exceptional food on Oahu, in Waikiki I recommend the following... Marukame Udon - I would say this is a must because it's extremely authentic. My Asian buddy told me he went there 3 times during his week stay, we matched that - Udon noodle soup with shrimp tempura. Hawaiiana had great sushi just off the main drag, very small and only a few tables. Alan Wong's was a fantastic, high end meal Nico's at Pier 38 - as fresh as it gets for restaurant seafood, they buy directly from the fish market next door. Great Poke Side Street Inn - where the chefs eat late at night, Anthony Bourdain visited here on one of his shows. Malasadas Portugese donuts at Leanards are very famous and very good. Musubi Cafe is also very famous although I was not a fan.
  21. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ May 17, 2016 -> 04:09 PM) Thanks for the tips. We're actually taking a day trip to Cork and Cashel so we'll only have 2 days in Dublin. Then we're taking the ferry to Wales and will spend one day in Anglesey going to Caernarfon and Snowdonia then heading on to London the next day. The Tower of London is a must for me and we have a day trip planned to Bath and Stonehenge also actually. We spent part of last summer in Rome and Paris and found their subway systems very easy to use. How is London's? Any specific places you ate at or things you ate there that you'd recommend? A great, high-end meal we had was Fifteen by Jamie Oliver. Lowlander was awesome - Belgian cafe with great beer and food. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Revi...on_England.html Belgo Centraal - A Belgian beerhall that was very good. There are so many fish and chips spots but it's pretty easy to get some subpar ones because so many do it. I'd ask someone at your hotel or a local for a place nearby to grab a pint and great fish and chips. Concierge will know the great spots that tourists don't know about. Yeah, London "tube" is great and very easy. Enjoy!
  22. QUOTE (kevo880 @ May 17, 2016 -> 02:05 PM) Going to San Fran with my wife (who is 6 months pregnant) Memorial Day weekend. Any advice for some fun things to do? Swan Oyster Depot - get there early! It's an institution for seafood and crab If Nature Friends Tourist Club is open to the public, it's a must do. One of the coolest things I have ever seen! German beer hall overlooking Muir Woods (which you should visit) Fisherman's Wharf is pretty much Navy Pier, I like it better than NP but it's still a tourist nightmare. Seek out Bush Man on the Wharf if you want to scare/prank your wife. You can rent a sweet car for cheap from "Flight Car" Check out the neighborhoods, Mission, Castro, Hayes Valley, Haight Ashbury.
  23. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ May 4, 2016 -> 11:42 AM) Just booked our summer vacation this year...4 nights in Dublin then 5 nights in London in July. I've been to Ireland 3 times, I would do one night in Dublin and then leave. It's a city, that's it. It's not what Ireland is all about, you'll have a much better time renting a car and driving around and seeing the sites, truly incredible. In London, I thought the London Eye was very overrated, London doesn't have much of a skyline and it's $$$$ The Cabinet War Rooms were fantastic, must do. Highly recommend Stonehenge and a visit to Bath is very cool (day trip), Tower of London is cool. Learn to take the Tube the first day, best way to get around and extremely quick/efficient. The food in London is great, no matter what anybody tells you, they just didn't do their homework. Some of the best chefs in the world operate in London. Nightlife - if you are into dance music, fabric is one of the best nightclubs in the world, a bodysonic (subwoofers connected to the floor) dance floor. It's open through the night and usually until noon the next day it not, later. Definitely pop into any interesting pub that you may see. If you are looking for a cheap/decent place to stay, you could stay at the London School of Economics in their dorm suites. It was a very good price compared to other places. Also, the easyhotel is very cheap but VERY small. Just for reference (not knowing your price points)
  24. Ezekiel Elliott is dressed like an absolute moron tonight. No way Fox picks that. Unless he's trolling Goodell
  25. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 26, 2016 -> 07:34 PM) some moron at bluebirdbanter said sale didn't have very good stuff for such a good pitcher. Uh, ok bro. Tell that to Saunders, lmao Somebody roast his ass.
