QUOTE (ChWRoCk2 @ Nov 23, 2010 -> 03:35 PM) No Packers one? Not that I want them changed, just curious. I am sorry, I love America but the Pats jerseys are just bad. Also, LOL at the "Cribbs" and not the Browns, Panthers and Jets jerseys are pretty sharp IMO -

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Nov 23, 2010 -> 11:19 AM) Every NFL team has beaten every other NFL team The photo speaks more towards the NFL's parity then an obvious point Check out the second post under the picture as they took out the NFL logo and inserted a Lions logo for the 2008 season. LOL -
QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Nov 22, 2010 -> 11:35 AM) Oh really? Show me what year Luol ever averaged 20ppg? Show me when he ever had 3apg? His career stats: 15.9ppg, 6.5rpg, 2.2apg That's awful for the money he's making. There's a reason why the Sixers won't take him for Iguodala. Or the Nuggets absolutely refuse to take him in any Melo deal. His career PER is 16.3 which is slightly above average. His PER the last three seasons 14.7, 16.1, 14.2(that's this year). Showing his trends are downward. His career TS% is .527. He's only had two seasons when he's gone above that and one was in 06-07 when he has a TS% of .560 which is carrying upwards. I don't think I have to explain his eFG%. So please, tell me how Luol is any great? Tell me how or when he has ever lived up to his contract. Is he a useful player? Yes he is. His defense is pretty solid and he's a decent rebounder. That's the extent of it though. For a guy making: $11,345,000 $12,325,000 $13,365,000 $14,275,000 N/A N/A $51,310,000 over the next four years, that's an awful contract and that's why the Bulls would be hard pressed to get rid of it. I am not sticking up for Deng one bit but him and Iggy have the same career average in points, Deng more boards, Iggy more assists, Deng higher free-throw percentage, etc. It appears that Iguodala makes more per year, yet they have some pretty similar statistics seeing has AI has been the first option on his team for quite a few years and Deng has always been 2nd or 3rd option on his And that is even counting Deng's atrocious first year with VDN, what make Iguodala the far superior player? How fitting that this came out today as well from Forbes? http://www.forbes.com/2010/11/23/nba-most-...y-overpaid.html

QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Nov 17, 2010 -> 12:41 AM) You are right about this. Except he didn't turn it on at the end of the game like Brewer. One of them really has to go. I would kill to have Hinrich back. CJ Watson is nearly a 46% shooting guard and Ronnie Brewer is at 52% both for their careers, a 9 game stretch at a backup role and now one has to go? hahaha wow

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Nov 15, 2010 -> 12:28 PM) Yikes, I have no suggestions. I just know that I won't be bringing my cell phone with me if I travel outside of the US. In fact, I'll probably just continue my life of never leaving the country. I had mine in Europe for 10 days 2 months ago on the entire time, just make sure data roaming is OFF

QUOTE (T R U @ Nov 8, 2010 -> 03:02 AM) I doubt it. I wouldn't be fooled by what Cleveland did to New England today, that almost never happens and would be shocked if it did again.. Also, how can Jerry Jones NOT fire Wade Phillips now? They have been run off the field three games in a row.. tonight they clearly showed that they have quit.. at least for the sake of a possible spark that can prevent them from getting throttled every week, you think he would owe that to the fans.. The only reason you should be doubting it is because of Stafford's injury, if he was playing, that would be a pretty good game to watch -
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 4, 2010 -> 11:57 AM) WTF, 3 games in and he's already better than one of the best in the league? How many passes have you actually seen the kid throw? Wall is a good player, but he's a rookie that hasnt even shown what type of player he is in the NBA yet. Saying he's better than Rose is ridiculous. I was waiting to actually see someone comment back on that, it is absurd whatever way you look at it. We should probably wait until he settles in a bit before we talk about him being better than anyone in the top 10 point guards right now. Although he has dominated so far, definitely too early.

QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Oct 25, 2010 -> 10:20 PM) A couple of SoxTalkers expressed an interest in a recap of my just finished up trip to Galapagos. I'm more than happy to share some thoughts and images of this trip for those who are interested, and I'll do so here in this thread over the next couple of weeks or for as long as anybody cares. It will probably come as a surprise to nobody — but the place was TOTALLY amazing. I could have spent a year there and not seen enough of it. I'll post selected photos here but I'm up against upload space limits so I'll probably limit myself to links to images I post offsite. I'm posting a lot more on FaceBook and the public link is http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2551...mp;l=5cfb942f19. I already posted about 3o images from the first day of the trip — a shore excursion to the small central island of North Seymour. Take a look if you are interested — photos include sea lions, iguanas, boobies (heh heh), frigate birds, and others. I'll put up a very quick introduction to the Galapagos archipelago, its location, geology, age, etc. here in a bit. To whet your appetite, here's a sea lion pup we encountered on the first day. What a cutie! Picture # 54 is great, it looks like the iguana is saying "Goodbye sweet world!" (difficult to notice at first)

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 26, 2010 -> 08:33 AM) How many clubs did it take to bring that sea lion down? Club sandwiches not sea lions

Oscar Robertson looks like a drug addict for a reason....LeBron on another level from MJ, how are they even able to air stuff like that LOL

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Oct 13, 2010 -> 12:44 PM) Yep best offensive center in the game I'd call him. I'd also take Brook Lopez over Noah if I was building a team right now. That's a close one, Lopez is only going to get better on offense, and hopefully Noah too. Both are intense, Noah being on another level though intensity wise

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 13, 2010 -> 08:05 AM) Pau Gasol Gasol and Boozer would be an atrocious defensive front-court. I'll take Noah please

QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Sep 30, 2010 -> 10:46 PM) I hate LeBron because didn't come to Chicago. I bet there a lot of fans of (insert team here) who hate LeBron James because he didn't go to (insert city here). That is why the decision was such a bad idea, because he tortured sooooo many fans with the possibility that he might make their dreams come true . . . only to tear them apart on live TV. I actually hated LeBron starting 2 years ago and even moreso now because he went to Miami, he flaked out man

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Sep 30, 2010 -> 04:07 PM) Yeah as knightni said, I'm in London and been here for bout 3 and a half months now. It's been really good, obviously it being summer and all helps. There are certain parts of London which aren't very nice though, East London for example (where I live) they basically call it working class but the area as a whole isn't that great. But if you love drinking (and you'll see Brits drinking at pubs at anytime of the day whether it's 10AM on a work day for example) you'll fit right in. For me, I'm probably gonna stay another year and then look at my options (moving elsewhere in Europe, trying to get a job in the States or to move back home). But the travel opportunities are amazing. Visited Stockholm 3 weeks back and that was 2 hours away on a flight. Yes, London is a great town - if you don't mind me asking, did you move there BECAUSE of business? Or did you move as personal preference and then found a job or something like that? It is just blind luck that I am hoping that I could get transferred but I have a lot of contacts in a type of business that is all over the UK, so just wondering if you were able to find a job when you got there if that is the case

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 03:56 PM) I lived in Stuttgart for 2 years as a child. Even at a young age it was a phenomenal experience. I still think about moving to Switzerland or Italy for a year or two now. Doubt I actually ever will but Europe is a nice place. I'd always recommend it to someone if they were thinking about doing that. That would be really nice! - Do you speak any German or Italian?

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 03:54 PM) I've been to London on business, once for a nearly month-long stint. Loved London. But I've never technically "lived" there. Nice, yeah we were just over there for 10 days - 3 in Paris and the remainder in London. We loved it, I have been to Europe a few times before and told my girlfriend that she would want to move there after she has been there to the reply of "Nuh-uh!" Well sure enough, we began talking about it this weekend a little more seriously

It has always been in the back of my mind that at one point I just wanted to live in Europe for 1 or 2 years to be able to hop on a train every few weeks (as I know this cannot be an every week occurrence, but just to experience it for an extended period of time rather than vacationing there for 5 days) and travel somewhere when time and money agrees with us. My g/f and I both have jobs where we have a pretty good chance that we could be able to transfer to company affiliates in the London area (we would probably like to live outside of there as opposed to downtown and prefer to be somewhere that's main language is English), does anyone have any experience with this, whether in UK or anywhere else in Europe? Would you or would you not recommend it? Any tips, stories, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Sep 22, 2010 -> 12:55 PM) So I am going to study abroad in Rotterdam, netherlands and will be leaving early January. Any advice when, where, to buy tickets? Any advice on who to fly? Would it be best to fly into Amsterdam instead and then take a train? Any Dvice is welcome. Thanks everyone. Oddly enough I was just looking at KLM into Amsterdam about a half hour ago (for myself) - check them out I saw about $855 for round-trip so that seems pretty decent. Might be worth it for a few days there before you head to Rotterdam. Have fun

QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Sep 22, 2010 -> 10:13 AM) personally, i am a little hesitant to trade for Carmelo after seeing how poorly Rose played with a dominant scorer on the team like Durant. Rose needs to take his shots to be effective and is not a great playmaker, and does not have the 3 point shooting to compliment Carmelo. Now, maybe the poor performance was a fluke or it had something to do with the FIBA style, but I am not sure if pairing Rose with Carmelo would be a better fit than having Rose and Noah. Not sure if you noticed but Durant was the only one on the team to average double figures. Rose had the most assists on the team, no big deal to struggle on a team filled with superstars

QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Sep 22, 2010 -> 09:44 AM) "The Wall" last night was intensely and amazingly awesome. Amen to that, I will tell you what, I don't do drugs and didn't last night - but that was a total mindf*ck and proly would have been amazing to have been LOL
