QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 17, 2010 -> 05:01 PM) Yeah, I've always wanted to check out Fabric. I had a subscription to their mix series for quite some time. That can be hit or miss depending on the artist. You going to DEMF next year? I'd like to but I do not have to many friends/family that like electronic music. I found a pretty cool website, they go into music events with 3 or 4 camera angles and tape for long periods of time. It's awesome! If you like nudity, check out Ricardo Villalobos at the Exit Festival and look for the red dots with the pop-up comments, you'll see what I am talking about LOL http://www.be-at.tv/

QUOTE (JPN366 @ Sep 17, 2010 -> 04:35 PM) Sirius XM, I couldn't live without it. They're always breaking new artists. Half the stuff I own I wouldn't have heard of without it. I had it on my Grand Prix when I first bought it but the renewal cost was outrageous (like $40) but I just heard the other day from a friend that they pay $12, do you mind if I ask what your price is?

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 17, 2010 -> 04:03 PM) I'm a big Villalobos fan. That must have been awesome. Juan Atkins is playing tonight at Smartbar. I know that would be sick! It is really tough to go out to places like Smartbar and spybar because all of my friends and girlfriend are not into electronic music, so any chance I get, I jump on it. If you are ever in London, you must check out fabric, Ricardo started at 9 AM, my girlfriend and I actually went to bed and woke up to go straight there LOL. There are many articles out there talking about how magical it is when he plays there, subs are actually connected to the dance floor so it bounces like a trampoline and he is VERY experimental there. It was pretty cool actually, for the first time at fabric the fire alarm had an issue and opened up the windows so the sun was peeking in, it was really cool Too bad he doesn't play in the states because of some unfortunate interrogations he had faced some years back. I will try to upload a couple pictures when I get home fabric also just came out with plans for their 11th birthday party, check out the date and time at the top, it's unreal how they party there http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=150507411647232

QUOTE (IceCreamPants @ Sep 16, 2010 -> 10:43 PM) I am really afraid that I am growing out of my love for music cause I haven't heard anything new and fresh that has tingled my music senses in a while. Someone please refer me to something melodic, different, and powerful. (Including bmags). I need some s*** that can get my juices flowing musically again. I don't really know what you listen to but I feel the exact same way. I can't STAND FM radio, it is filled with s*** that not only sucks but is overplayed. I never though I would see the day where I actually started to get into electronic music. That said, I cannot get enough of it now, House, (old, new, doesn't matter) Techno (Detroit techno, minimal techno, etc.) it is amazing - some of it is very annoying such as electro and whatnot but some of it is incredible. There are so many different genres within one electronic song, jazz, blues, reggae, classical, hip hop, it is making a comeback like it was in the 90's but is still very underrated. Just went to fabric in London (voted #1 club in the world many many times) and they stayed open from 11 PM until 3:45 PM the next day playing nothing but electronic music, I was in heaven. I actually went to see a guy who is also voted as one of the best DJ's in the world from Chile, the guy is incredible (Ricardo Villalobos - http://www.residentadvisor.net/feature.aspx?1119), he will go from playing a really deep techno/house song, into a Marvin Gaye song and then into some Classical music from like 4 centuries ago. It is very interesting to me You really have to listen to the song to hear everything that is going on (shouldn't be a problem with someone that loves all music) but I also know that it is tough to get into it (my girlfriend hates it) - It definitely takes awhile to get used to but once you find some of it that you like, you really start to listen to more of it and become attached (unless you really have no interest, than I cannot help you haha) Here is one of his songs playing with a mini-movie, pretty cool IMO -

I know the Beer Bistro on Madison carried Spaten Oktoberfest last year, and am waiting to hear back if they have it this year....does anyone else know any other bars in Chicago that will or already are carrying this? Preferably on tap! I had it last year when I was on a work trip in Atlanta and fell in love...Thanks!

What does everyone think? I think my WR's are the weakest obviously but everyone has a weakness (which is why I took Rice and more WR's with big potential) - love the depth with Rapelisberger and Owen Daniels, personally QB- Phillip Rivers RB - Rashard Mendenhall (Round 13 Keeper) RB - Michael Turner Flex - Jonathan Stewart WR - Steve Smith - NYG (Round 12 Keeper) WR - Steve Smith - Panthers (yes I got both) WR - Percy Harvin TE - Antonio Gates K - Dan Carpenter DEF - Jets Bench QB - Ben Roethlisberger RB - LaDainian Tomlinson WR - Mike Wallace WR - Devin Thomas WR - Sidney Rice (took him in the 15th, I will just keep him next year maybe since I got him so late) TE - Owen Daniels K - Matt Bryant DEF - Broncos (only took them because they play the Raiders during the Jets bye)

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 09:51 PM) How do you guys do it? How do you even watch 30 seconds of preseason football? I'd rather watch the Nanny on Nickelodeon. Now you just took it way too far there -
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 10, 2010 -> 12:40 PM) He's also so good he can lead the NBA in PER for three straight seasons. The sad thing is, the last two years #2 on said list was D-Wade. Bosh was only #4 last year, though. Damn that Kevin Durant! Keep trying to convince me the next NBA Championship has yet to be decided. Did the Patriots win it when they went 16-0? What if they are decimated with injuries? Everyone that says that they have it in the bag is nuts, the NBA has a lot of talent and EVERY team will be gunning for them EVERY night. Every stadium will be maxxed out looking for their team to knock them off

QUOTE (ChWRoCk2 @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 08:07 PM) Your friendly Packer update: Jolly suspended for the season, that seems really harsh imo. Keep hearing great things about Mike Neal, DT out of Purdue, I saw him play at Purdue and apparently he is stronger and looking good in camp. I'm looking forward to Rajii this year and seeing how he develops. Bigby is having ankle surgery, idk what is eta is but I like our backup rookie safety Burnett better anyways, although for depth this hurts. I am still annoyed a CB was not signed or drafted. These players are idiots, he just recently signed a deal for $2.5 million dollars and if convicted faces up to 20 years in prison. 1 year suspension from his job is not that bad for being a complete moron. Imagine what would happen to most other American's and their jobs if they were facing time, it is starting to get ridiculous seeing as how many players have been caught doing illegal $hit lately. If other people getting caught don't know better by now, suspend them for at least a year. -
Saw this on my CBS Fantasy League, LMAO Beckham gets pranked at deadline Gordon Beckham, 3B CHW News: From The Sports Xchange notes: 2B Gordon Beckham was the target of a Kenny Williams joke as the non-waiver trade deadline came to a close Saturday. The GM called his second-year player into manager Ozzie Guillen's office just 10 minutes before the deadline and closed the door behind him. "Ozzie went 'No!' and the other coaches said 'No!'" Williams said. "(Beckham) had this look of like, 'No, really?'" What did Williams tell him? "'Well, I would really like to say one thing to you before I get into the nuts and bolts of this stuff,'" Williams said. "'That at-bat you had (Friday) night, where you pushed across that run, it was one of the best at-bats you had all year. I just want to say nice job.' Then I shook his hand, and he said, 'That's it?' And I said 'That's it.' He had a sigh of relief. Ozzie had a sigh of relief and started cursing at me." Beckham has been subject to trade rumors for the last month, but was told last week he was not going to be traded. Analysis: Beckham has hit .379 since after the break and is much closer to the player we saw in 2009 than in the first half. Consider him a sleeper to use in all Fantasy formats again, especially if he is eligible at second or third in your league still.

QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Aug 2, 2010 -> 07:12 AM) A guy is playing golf and gets to the fifth hole where he runs into an attractive woman. They decide to play together to save time. The guy hits from the white tees and the woman hits from the red tees. When they get to the turn, the woman says, "My house is right over there. What do you say we head over there and I give you a blow job." The guy immediately agrees, and they take off to her house. The guy is golfing the next week and runs into the woman again on the fifth hole. They play to the ninth again, he hitting from the white tees, she hitting from the red tees. Again she offers a blow job at the turn. And again he agrees. This goes on for about six weeks until one day the woman says, "I have a confession. I'm actually a man." The guy flies into a rage, throwing clubs and kicking the grass. "You son of a b****! All this time you've been hitting from the women's tees!" Funny joke, I actually laughed hardest at the bold in the first paragraph hahahahah

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 29, 2010 -> 09:31 AM) Like I said even in late June and early July....had he gone to the Bulls, I'd have held my nose and rooted for him. But it'd have been REALLY hard to do because he's just a first class asshole, as are Wade and Bosh. However, I'm sure as a Heat fan, you'll find a way to look past it once the season gets here, and I don't blame you at all for it because I'd do the same thing. For you LBJ haters viewing pleasure http://img821.imageshack.us/i/bloglebronespn.jpg/ I love the shot at LBJ hidden in it all....ppl looked at Lamar Odom and pointed at their ring finger and smiled LOL What an A$$HOLE, even Big Baby is in it

QUOTE (chisox2334 @ Jul 25, 2010 -> 07:18 PM) hes pisst and jealous because angels got Haren. Haren has openly stated that he wanted to stay on the West Coast (he was born and raised there) - who is to say (not directed at you) that that did not have any part in it?

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 22, 2010 -> 09:00 AM) Not yet, but I have a feeling the day is coming. The fans are starting to get angry about the direction of the NBA, if not professional sports in general. Players are a bunch of whiney, me-first p*****s. They b**** and moan about disrespect, despite the fact that they signed a contract and 3 years later want to change their mind. 20 years ago guys would use that as motivation - play your ass off to finish the contract and make the next one a big one. But not today. Today you just complain and complain and use the media (with all of their kiss-ass reporters who are nothing but mouthpieces for the players) and you get traded. You know what, I agree with you but (different sport) I think it is a lot more than just a little crazy when you have someone like Chris Johnson (Titans) making less money in 2010 than his current backup who rushed for 48 yards last year (heard that on ESPN.) I think they are more than justified to ask for more money, just like when you feel you need a raise at work, you ask for it. I just noticed you are talking about backing out of a contract*, but I am sure you get what I am saying

QUOTE (Cali @ Jul 20, 2010 -> 11:51 AM) How can ANY band sound good at the Aragon? That place has the worst acoustics I have ever heard at a live venue... Why do bands even play there? Just because a venue is bad doesn't mean that every show played there is bad? This guy doesn't think so either http://consequenceofsound.net/2008/12/08/t...g-night-4-1208/

I liked that video that was posted, had the same look on his face from when he scored his first bucket to when he scored his 40th point. Just doin' work

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 18, 2010 -> 02:10 PM) The original lineup of the Smashing Pumpkins Man I was in in Denver for work a few years back when they were on their reunion tour and got to see them at Red Rocks, probably the best show I have ever seen (the venue definitely helped), seen them at the Horseshoe Casino a year later and they were TERRIBLE and then saw them a year later at Aragon and they were on again. It's almost as if they are hit or miss depending on if they really care or not. This is my favorite of their "new" songs since they have reformed. Best song of the night at Red Rocks and ironically it was the first tune they played, it really set the tone for that gig

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 16, 2010 -> 12:33 AM) Dadgummit. I was really amped about Rose being able to dish to Korver or Redick. Edit: Would anyone else try and swing a deal for Wayne Ellington? We are talking about David Kahn Edit Dos: Magic bench players have to really, really hate Otis Smith. Both Gortat and Redick got decent offers from other clubs to start to only be (probably in JJ's case) matched and be a bench player. I wouldn't bring David Kahn into this! There are some strong supporters out there!
