QUOTE (mmmmmbeeer @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 01:39 PM) Man, I'm pretty pissed off about this whole situation....couple thoughts 1. Wade played Chicago, not a doubt in my mind. His interview with Wilbon where he pretty much jumbled his words so badly that he stated that his kids were important but he felt he had to leave "emotion" out of his decision.....well, either he's a cold hearted prick or he was just using his kids as a means of adding credibility to his consideration of joining the Bulls. I always thought it odd that Wade was considering the Bulls after having just badmouthed the organization for being disloyal....I guess I just looked past that in hopes of having him on our team. 2. Chris Bosh annoys me.....and the most amazing thing to me in this whole FA mess is that Chris Bosh dictated the terms for what Wade and LBJ are doing. Not sure how in the hell he managed that, but he did. 3. I actually am going to come out of this respecting Lebron more than either Bosh or Wade regardless of where he goes (the ridiculousness of the announcement show is beside the point). He's done an absolutely incredible job of keeping quiet and keeping his circle of trust small. He hasn't given interviews, mysterious tweets, etc....he's just gone about his business like a professional. Of the big3, he's shown the greatest restraint and has held his ego in check (pretty crazy for an egomaniac) 4. Paxson needs to go. He's been here for over 7 years and, outside of a lucky lottery pick, has not accomplished anything. I don't even want him canned for missing the big 3 because, from what we know, he did what he could. The thing is, what if someone else could do more than he could. 7 years is long enough to sense a trend, and for the Bulls that trend seems to be mediocrity and a difficult time recruiting talent. I agree, I still hate him more than any other player though. I think Wade is now up there at a close 2nd

PER Chris Bosh's Twitter "MIAMI HEAT!!!"

For some reason, I just thought of the Bulls on the defensive end versus the Heat next year and how we would be able to match up pretty decent on them. Joakim can take Bosh, Deng on Beasley and Hinrich would be able to stop Wade as always, oh wait.....

QUOTE (AbeFroman @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 10:07 PM) David lee, a 20/11 guy, will be gone. I'm not saying he's as good as Stoudemire - but it's not as far fetched as you think. Amare averaged 23 ppg last year on a team that had Steve Nash ag PG and lead the league in scoring with 110 points per game and. David Lee averaged 20 ppg on a team that had Chris Duhon at PG and averaged 102 per game. Frankly, I wouldn't mind if David Lee comes to Chicago. If there's any team in HISTORY that suffers from exaggerated numbers, its the Phoenix suns of the last 5 years. I like me some David Lee, but he isn't a good defender and with the new regime, it probably won't work. In Vinny's type of offense, he would've been nice

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 08:43 AM) I'm really starting to get worried that the Bulls are going to be left out completely. - Johnson gets a max deal from Atlanta, where he wants to stay and can make more money - Bosh gets a sign and trade to Miami since they have more pieces. Wade/Bosh and whatever role guys they can bring in would be a pretty good team. - I don't want Amare, he's going to break in 6 months and the bulls would be stuck with that contract, crippling them for years to come. - Lebron either stays in Cleveland (75% chance IMO) and signs a small extension (2-3 years) so that if he doesn't win a title he can do this whole process over again, OR he goes to the Nets (5% chance) and gets sold on the idea that the Russian Cuban will make him a multi-billionaire due to his connections. - David Lee follows Lebron to Cleveland or the Nets. Bulls get nothing, lose Hinrich, and have to wait a year and hope Carmelo doesn't sign an extension. I hate LBJ with a passion but for some reason I just don't see him going back. This was their year to do something and they blew it, they aren't really going to have a big man that can play an entire game with Shaq and Big Z being older. How could he pass up playing with Dwayne Wade or Rose and Noah vs coming back to play with Mo Williams and Antawn Jamison? That is just my thoughts personally as you can tell he is about the spotlight, he wants to be the number one and most popular player in the world and that still belongs to Kobe. He isn't going to win in Cleveland, he has given them 7 years and the best they came up with was an almost 40 year old Shaq

QUOTE (sircaffey @ Jun 30, 2010 -> 08:58 PM) Ehh. I don't think Rose's offensive game is all that similar to Wade's. Rose can't score outside of 19-20 feet. Also, as mentioned, Wade's post game is far superior. On the flip side, Rose is a much better distributor, and I don't think it's close there. The only similarities are they both can handle the ball and are f***ing good. They are very similar now, even more so in the beginning of their careers. Check Wade's numbers and percentages in almost anything on the offensive end, they are very similar. Wade really stepped up his game from behind the arc last year which will most likely happen with Rose as he matures. They both score OFTEN while driving to the hole which is definitely not ideal to have them both on the court at the same time

Another "rumor" - LBJ contacts Ray Allen to take less money to join him, Bosh and Dwade in Miami for Dream Team http://miamiherald.typepad.com/sedano-says...dream-team.html

QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Jun 30, 2010 -> 12:31 AM) Leaving Wed for Nashville and flying out of Nashville early Thursday morning. Almost ready. 2 questions... 1. Are reservations available/necessary at Tufano's (Thursday night after 8pm) 2. Going to Lou Malnati's Friday night. Should there be any preference between their Lincoln Park (Wrightwood) and River North (N Wells St) locations? Lincoln Park would be closer to where we are coming from, but River North is not far from hotel. 1. you should be A-OK on a Thursday after 8 2. Never been to Lincoln Park but after seeing reviews they are both the same 3. Go to Kuma's Corner for the best burger of your life http://www.yelp.com/biz/kumas-corner-chicago

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 28, 2010 -> 09:29 AM) Yup, he'll be playing with Birmingham. Not that it has to do with LBJ, if you look a few tweets down on Screamin Steven's Twitter, he tells someone that the Bears should go out and get TO hahaha this guy is amazing. The Bulls should sign Allen Iverson too

QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Jun 26, 2010 -> 10:31 AM) Cool, thanks. I appreciate your help and from everyone. In the past, I've either met friends up there who knew how to get around or we just got tickets to games and winged everything else. I'm typically not much of a planner so this is different for me. My girlfriend's never been up there and wants to see a couple of things so I need to make sure we have the time. It should be fun. Another question I have is about travel. Heading back north to the hotel around 3:30 or 4:00 on Thursday. Would I be better taking the #2 bus (Hyde Park Express) along Lake Shore Drive for the scenery or taking the #55 bus to the Red Line @ Howard to Chicago and walking from there? Would traffic be an issue taking the bus? Anyone use the public tranportation enough to know? If you like Triple D type restaurants, you NEED to find time to squeeze Kuma's Corner in to that schedule

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 04:09 PM) They are different. RoSal's is a Sicilian masterpiece and Tufanos is just like a mama's kitchen. Cheap, good, easy, casual. RoSal's food overall is much better. In fact, Cafe Bianda is better as well. I get the salad and calamari to start. Then I get a half order of cavatelli with vodka sauce and meatballs and a half order of the chicken picante. The Chicken and Veal Picante is unreal. Cafe Bionda is amazing as well, personally, if I wasn't getting Nana's Gravy or Rigatoni with Vodka Sauce there - I'm going RoSal's everytime. I'll make sure to order exactly what you get

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 04:09 PM) That skirt streak is downright sexual. The chimchurri sauce is the best ever and I just crave it. now you got me feenin' http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/sfWMOqUEp8S...LCPkpZiRafi1wLQ

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 03:42 PM) The Rays are in the thick of a division race, why would they trade a guy who is arguably the best left fielder in the game? I'm thinking it was just a thought of his as Crawford was up to bat, and stayed in Left the next inning. Then boom, he's out.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 11:00 AM) Thats my spot, I go there about every other sunday for dinner. I have had it before and I much prefer RoSal's or Il Vicinato. RoSal's is made to order with nearly everything on the menu and tell you that you may have to wait at least a half-hour for your entrees as it is made completely fresh (NOTE: If you have never had FRESH pasta as in never frozen or boxed, you need to get some here.) What do you usually get at Tufano's? I'll have to try again

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 11:34 AM) Depends on the time and place. In general they are all very good, just overpriced and sometimes very vanilla. You have to spend alot to get alot there. There are plenty of other places with great steak. IN fact if I was going to recommend one at this very instant, I would say go to Carnivale (on fulton) and get the skirt steak. The place has a GREAT atmosphere, good service, drinks, and the food is very very good. This, one of the cheapest (if not THE cheapest) entree on the menu and it is great

QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Jun 23, 2010 -> 01:57 PM) hello brian anderson, joe borchard, josh fields. who was the last Sox first round pick to come through their farm system and have success in the majors? can't think of any recent ones if they don't send beckham down soon, I am afraid we will see his name in that infamous group soon. I understand what you mean but none of those players ever batted higher than .244 in a season. Gordon has almost had more success in one 3/5 of a year (last year) than those guys had in all of their careers combined. He'll come around

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 07:58 PM) Fair enough haha. Ill add NOLA to my list of potential areas, freakin love that place and would totally move there for a girl or any reason really. What a great town, it's really a shame that many people that vacation there just hang out on Bourbon Street when there are areas like Frenchmen Street (definitely where I hang out when I go there) and see some of the craziest S*it in your life. Reggae Bars, Jazz bars, taco trucks, it is amazing

QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 04:10 PM) I agree with that. Definitely my beer of choice this summer. Yeah, I put fruit in my beer. I love Blue Moon, another good ones during the summer is Sam Adams Summer Ale with a lemon, good stuff

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 20, 2010 -> 10:11 AM) I really need HRs & RBIs, so a month ago I traded away Howie Kendrick & Johan Santana for Dan Uggla. I probably gave up a bit too much, but I really needed the power and my rotation is still stacked. Since I made the trade, Kendrick has 5 HRs and 27 RBIs, while Uggla has 3 HRs and 11 RBIs. I'm still in first place, but what the f***????? Ya probably too much to give for what you are getting, if it makes you feel a little better, remember the number 105. The most games Kendrick has played in a year in his career -

QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 11:52 AM) Any thoughts or more Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives type places? Any decent places for lunch or dinner around the museums? I think at this point we're going to eat pizza one night (probably Giordano's or Lou's if I can find one), and steak another. I've heard The Bongo Room is great for breakfast so we'll likely try that. Also saw a bit on the Food Network about cinnamon rolls at Ann Sather so we may check that out one morning. We'll likely only do one "nice" dinner so we'll probably do Gibson's or Morton's. I know Gibson's is across the street from the hotel. Lastly, any word on bars on/around Rush Street? Not really looking for dance clubs, but more a nice bar with a nice atmosphere. Triple D has had quite a few that you can find on the website, I have been to a couple and they have been OK to very good. I would check out Glenn's Diner (up north) for great seafood, Cemitas Pueblas for some interesting Mexican food and I was at a BBQ joint in Pilsen which was just OK. I have been to Ann Sathers a few times, they have been really good but never fresh out of the oven (try to avoid going on a weekend where they are easily making hundreds per hour - probably why they were never fresh.) You can actually just get these to go as the actual food there is just OK If you are going to do a nice dinner, I would suggest The Signature Room on top of the Hancock. It is possible to walk out of there spending the same amount of money as Gibson's or Morton's and you will have a great time looking out on top of the city. As for pizza, I have never really been able to decide who I like better between Giordano's and Lou's, partly because it was always a "what do i have a taste for today." Giordano's is a heavier that I like better with Sausage, Lou's is a little lighter for a deep dish and is very good with veggies on it. The supposed best in the Chicagoland area is Bert's Place in Morton Grove which I have not tried yet. It is supposedly really difficult to get a table as you have to call in the day before to tell them what pizza you want, they then shop for the ingredients the morning of and wait for you to show up. Why not just try both Pizza places? LOL
