QUOTE (qwerty @ Dec 8, 2009 -> 04:26 PM) Ivan Rodriquez and his value to a team. So we should all place our bets on the Nats going to the playoffs or having a pretty decent record

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Nov 23, 2009 -> 11:35 PM) I'm just going to assume you meant they were better this past season, especially seeing most of that list quoted were either first time full closers and/or a rookie reliever. Even Valverde is debatable. If you didn't.. shame on you. OT: But I would like to reiterate the fact that Trevor Hoffman is still a freak at 41 and should also get some recognition out there other than Rivera all the time. Thank you. Those are the exact 5 players that I was thinking about as well - 4 out of 5 are in the NL. Although maybe not too much of a difference - you could also make an argument on quite a few of those players pitching in some pretty low pressure markets too.

QUOTE (Stocking @ Nov 19, 2009 -> 08:30 PM) I was at a game when the "Kiss Cam" was on the Jumbotron. There was this younger guy with his girl, just waiting for the camera to turn on him. When it does, she goes in for the the kiss and he pushes her head into his crotch. she fights it so her head winds up bopping up and down. The camera guy quickly turns the camera and they cut to another camera, but not in time. It was f***ing priceless. I was with my girl at the time, pure shock on her face. The crowd cheered, please tell me someone else was at this game. maybe '05 or 'maybe '04? Easily my favorite moment at a Sox game other than MB's first hitter - that was AMAZING hahahaha -
QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Nov 19, 2009 -> 03:46 PM) You can't make up the H0 and H1 hypotheses without a conclusion. You need one or the other to answer this. You can find the P-value off of a chart if by using your N-values and the alpha value, which in this case is 'plus or minus' .001 But, there just isn't enough information here. I don't even see what the question is or what the claim is supposed to be...? Thanks - this is the questions word by word The mean ACT score for 43 male high school students is 21 and the standard deviation is 5. The mean ACT score for 56 female high school students is 20.8 and the standard deviation is 4.7. At the 1% level, can you reject the claim that male and female high school students have equal ACT scores? They are asking for.... H(sub 0): H(sub 0): P: Value Decision: (Reject or Fail to Reject). There is (significant or insignificant) evidence to reject the claim Maybe, that is why I can't figure it out - is it even possible?

Mean ACT for 43 males is 21 and standard deviation is 5. Mean for 56 women is 20.8 with a standard deviation of 4.7. At 1% level - I am trying to find the Null Hypothesis (claim) and its complement. P-Value and the decision (reject for fail to reject) as well as if there is significant or insignificant evidence. Anyone know how this could be calculated? I haven't done this in years and have been trying to help her for hours!!! Thanks!

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Nov 17, 2009 -> 01:22 PM) Oh btw, supposedly a three way may be brewing between the Kings, 76ers and Celtics. Nocioni to Boston Dalembert and Riddens I think to Sacramento Tony Allen, Brian Scalabrine to 76ers. Another player is involved, but I can't remember for the life of me, who it is. Good Riddens to J.R. Giddens -
Stewart easily

QUOTE (Felix @ Nov 6, 2009 -> 04:57 PM) There's a little bit about him ending up in Minnesota too, as quoted in this blog post. Of course, that will never happen, but it's fun to dream, right? Imagine LBJ and Al Jefferson - WOAH -

Anyone have ESPN Insider? If you go on ESPN's main page under the headlines - it says Why LeBron may end up in Chicago. Can't find anything on the Net about it though -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 4, 2009 -> 09:26 AM) Granted its a small 5-game sample size, but so far this season Greg Oden is averaging just under 23 minutes per game, 6.8 pts, 9.8 boards, 2.2 blocks, 4.8 fouls, 3.2 turnovers. Think the Blazers might regret passing on Durant now... I think it will be another year or 2 for Oden - if you double his time (almost what Durant is averaging) he could be averaging 20 boards, 9 fouls and 6.5 turnovers!!! -
QUOTE (LZPride08 @ Oct 24, 2009 -> 02:36 AM) that, but buerhle's perfect game is a very close second as awesome as the WS moments are. I always get giddy watching El Duque pump his chest, point up to the sky, run to the mound and deal. Sick

I won a trip to London this past week, I am planning on going for around 2 weeks and catching as much as possible without feeling like I am spending the majority of the time travelling. Anyone ever do this before? I have been to Ireland 3 times so I have some family there and in England that I plan on visiting for a small time. Some other places I have on my list are the Swiss Alps, Amsterdam, Ibiza, Italy amongst others- Anyone have any tips and/or suggestions of where to go in Europe? How much to bring Money wise if we are staying in Hostels? I actually found flights from Dublin to London that are as low as 5 Pounds each!
