  1. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Oct 14, 2009 -> 01:04 PM) and the only "good" team the Bears have beaten is the Steelers, and that was without Polamalu. The Steelers offensive line is disastrous and the defense takes one hell of a hit without Polamalu out there. They lost to that .500 Packers team, and beat bad teams in Seattle and Detroit. True but the bears also played without Urlacher (overrated or not still our starting MLB that covers pretty good players downfield) and Roethlisberger by far put up the least yardage and only 1 passing touchdown. That is part of the game of football. Seattle is tough to play at no matter who the QB is.
  2. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Oct 6, 2009 -> 09:46 AM) Floyd looks pretty badass in a suit. Is Gavin dressed as Dwight Schrute?
  3. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 24, 2009 -> 12:58 PM) Here's my question. Non-PPR league, 6pt TDs, bonus pts for 100+ yards rushing/receiving, return yardage counted Who do i start at the flex? Kevin Walter (questionable but the offense looks dangerous) Eddie Royal (total bust so far but we do count return yardage) Justin Forsett (just picked him up but not a favorable matchup) Laurent Robinson (terrible offense in st louis) Jonathon Stewart (meh) If he were healthy, I would say Kevin Walter (like you said because of the offense.) Laurent Robinson has a tough matchup with the Pack. Personally, I would go with Stewart because he was a touchdown machine last year (hasn't scored yet) and they are gonna try and keep it out of Delhomme's hands. Stewart is a beast, he is my backup in 3 out of 4 leagues. But that is a tough call all-together
  4. QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 24, 2009 -> 10:56 AM) Jones will play. Barber is out. http://www.kansascity.com/491/story/1461231.html http://www.nbcdfw.com/blogs/blue-star/Barb...d-60291942.html http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4495437 Barber is not out yet, the articles you gave are a couple of days old
  5. Running backs are Brandon Jacobs Marion Barber Thomas Jones Felix Jones We are playing Brandon Jacobs regardless...as of 2 days ago, we were playing Felix Jones since Barber was looking to be out. Thomas Jones is playing the Titans who haven't let up to much to RB's so far this year. The whole lineup locks 5 minutes prior to the first game but it sucks because the Cowboys play Monday night. IF Barber plays ( I know we still have a few more days ) - who would everyone here play, Barber or Felix Jones???
  6. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Sep 22, 2009 -> 02:25 PM) I live about an hour south of Salt Lake City. I really don't go there that often, but you may want to go to the Hard Rock Cafe, 505 South 600 East, Salt Lake City Tel: 801 532 762. You may want to check out The Bayou, 645 South State Street, 801-961-8400. Getting a good drink in Utah has never been so easy. Over 200 beers available. Cajun-flair menu with classic pub fare. One place I go to a lot and highly recommend is The Pie (for pretty good pizza). Voted "Best Pizza in Utah.", which isn't saying much I know, but really it's good and a very un-Mormon-like atmosphere. It's just off the University of Utah campus, so it's mainly frequented by college kids, but at least they're not BYU students. You can get pizza, calzones, baked subs, salads, wings, local beers on tap. Open late 7-days a week. There's Zanzibar for live jazz and blues. Nothing quite like a good Blues place in Chicago but just the same it's SOMETHING; 677 South 200 West. Tel: 801-746-0590. If the outdoors is your thing there's some pretty good not too far off places to hike in the Wasatch Mountains. Also Antelope Island is pretty cool. Too bad the minor league baseball season is over. Bees games are always fun and the ballparks around here have nice mountain views. Appreciate it!
  7. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Sep 22, 2009 -> 11:56 AM) You could always join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was thinking that if everything else didn't work out
  8. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 22, 2009 -> 11:55 AM) Yes. Salt Palace Convention Center. True Value?
  9. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 22, 2009 -> 11:39 AM) I'll be there Thursday and Friday next week for work. Trying to figure out what to do as well. Not For the Trade Show at Salt Palace are you? I believe there is a Jazz game on Thursday, although it is preseason
  10. I usually am pretty good at looking up restaurants and good bars/clubs to go to but have not had much luck on SLC - making me nervous a bit haha
  11. I will be in SLC for about 4-5 days for work next week. Now I understand it is a Mormon dominated town where you used to actually have a license to get a drink - but I have heard it is different now. Has anyone ever been there and can touch upon their nightlife? Some good restaurants? Any other suggestions would be much appreciated!
  12. Per Marc Silverman's Facebook Marc Silverman According to Buster Olney, Sox sent out league wide memo that they're willing to talk trade for most vets by midnight tonight. Dye, Thome, etc.
  13. QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Jul 23, 2009 -> 03:18 PM) bump. Can we reopen the Is Buehrle a hall of famer question now? Can we frame him with the pitchers of the day??? How many have a no-hitter, perfect game, World Series win AND save, double digit victories every year he's pitched, ERA under 3 every year but two, opening day starter 8 of 9 years, 200+ innings pitched every year but his rookie year....... 4 actually but I agree with you 100%
  14. http://twitter.com/MLBastian/status/2537639493 according to Twitter
  15. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Jul 7, 2009 -> 06:55 PM) I agree completely, but with that said, it may be too late for him to show improvement. I hope he does good though. He was definitely unfairly treated in Detroit. I know they are 2 different players...but Jermaine O'neal says hello took him about 6 years to get to almost elite status
  16. QUOTE (Markbilliards @ Jul 2, 2009 -> 11:20 AM) I've never had anything all that amazing. I had sec 161 row 1 and a few years back sec in the 130s row 17. My buddy gets 2nd row behind visitor's dugout. Everytime a lefty bats the people in that seat are on TV. It's pretty funny when you get texts saying "hey, are you at the sox game? Nice seats!"
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 2, 2009 -> 11:08 AM) A career .257 hitter, backup infielder basically. Is Aaron Miles gone long-term? They should try a Miles for Uribe trade....he IS batting .282!
  18. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/rumors/post/So...?urn=mlb,174256 just the move they've been waiting for!
  19. WOOOOOOO ........I MEAN.....BOOOOOOOOOO
  20. For anyone that was in Milwaukee over the weekend. Does anyone know what Corey Hart's entrance song is? It is a country song with a man singing with a deep voice (Josh Turner)??? Help would be much appreciated!
  21. QUOTE (ChWRoCk2 @ Jun 3, 2009 -> 06:12 PM) Sold high on McClouth imo. I personally don't think he tops last years performance. Never really showed the pop in the minors until he got the callup. Depending on the prospects Id have to give pitt the edge. Plenty of doubles though translating to more power later on, I remember him being one of their better prospects
  22. QUOTE (beck72 @ May 31, 2009 -> 07:31 PM) I'd actually like Webb more, as long as the medical records check out, with his sinker tailor made for the Cell. He wouldn't cost as much in terms of talent, with 2 less years remaining on his deal compared to Haren, through 2010. I like Haren, but he gets more FB outs than GB's. Haren is a sinkerballer is well and has played in the AL in his career too
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ May 21, 2009 -> 04:01 PM) Quite a few playoff games and a terrible performance in Colorado for the tiebreaker in 2007. Actually 2 playoff games with both being vs STL...got rocked both times
