  1. Whatever happens game 3, let’s not be negative during the game. This team can win tomorrow and beat anybody with this offense despite a subpar manager and some stupid mistakes. Nobody wants to hear that we can’t come back in a game, just look what almost happened vs. arguably the best closer in baseball. Unless the Sox get blown out, if you’re typing something negative...”stop it, get some help” let’s go Sox!
  2. Nothing is easy in baseball. Also, the Cubs were first in a division with four playoff teams. The A’s were first in a division where they were the only team over .500 so yeah, competition. Let’s all be positive, we have a sick offense that can put runs on the board.
  3. I highly doubt the Cubs were playing to lose. My point is the Sox didn’t give up. The negativity here gets old. We are a young team and had a year we didn’t expect, LFG.
  4. We just came back from 10-1 on the Cubs and almost shocked them. Relax and let’s get some runs.
  5. I’m on Uverse, anybody know what station this will be on? I looked back two pages but haven’t seen anything. edit: found on MLB Network
  6. Solid decisions but would have been nice to have this lineup 2-3 weeks ago with Mazara and EE out.
  7. Win or lose, we should be happy to (hopefully) see the beginning of 6+ years of a team with outstanding potential. L. F. G.
  8. Got those hands in...but he just looks tired rounding the bases.
  9. They wouldn’t have switched that call (especially against the Cubbies) if they didn’t have conclusive evidence.
  10. Anybody have or know where to find Gio's stats this year and last with McCann catching vs. without?
  11. I'm definitely not a man of faith but I went to Catholic school most of my life and watching people that drop that line when doing something stupid is just....cringeworthy.
  12. and this is why you stay patient with a hitter like Edwin. Hot bat, 2 homers, hopefully win by 2.
  13. I'm not ready to write off Edwin, age is the big concern but April (month 1) is by far his worth month in his career...slow starter.
  14. I think people should just be happy that our top pick from 2 years ago is already up contributing to a win with 4 f’n hits.
  15. Sheesh...would’ve been around 30th hardest hit ball in all of majors last year.
  16. How could I forget...Jordan of course saw the kid with the Superman shirt on and said "Get up here Superman" before it all went down. It was great!
  17. I have seen Jordan a handful of times, I remember him hitting a game winner on Charlotte in '97...awesome moment. I was very lucky when I was in 5th and 6th grade to attend his came in Elmhurst for 5th grade up to 12th grade, we got to meet him. 10 hours a day for 5 days, MJ showed up 3 times a day, each time in a new car....15 total cars that week. Upper Deck was there to authenticate autographs, all the counselors were great college players (Jason Terry, Shawn Marion), the last day featured a scrimmage with NBA players and the counselors, Juwan Howard and Pippen showed up, I came in 2nd in a free throw contest and lost in the championship to a senior, I was devastated. Best week of my life and well worth using my summer allowance on that week, you more than make up for it with the value of the signature you'd get (I don't think I'll ever sell) My favorite story is Jordan scrimmaged three kids a day (one for each visit) up to 5, picks a short senior in high school kid with a Superman shirt on. Kid gets the ball first, takes MJ to the baseline and crosses him over three times...Jordan gets faked a little on the last crossover and the kid rises up and swooshes a 12 footer over Jordan and leaves his hand raised in the air as he walked back to the top of he key. The entire gym went nuts....Jordan then blocked him and dunked on him 5 times in a row to win 5-1. The competitiveness is unquestionable.
