  1. This whole Josh Brown thing gets more disturbing by the second.
  2. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 20, 2016 -> 03:51 PM) Makes sense that they need a big thing for the Alamo Dome. I'm sure they've asked him as apparently they ask him all the time but he's been pretty adamant about staying retired. Things change and it is in SA so you never know but with him I doubt it.
  3. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 20, 2016 -> 03:41 PM) Wha Wha Whaaaaat?? I'm guessing the chance of it happening is almost 0 but ya, he's decided to tweet stuff about it and talk about it in a SI interview. Certainly getting people to talk.
  4. Styles just decided today that he's going to tease a match with HBK at the Rumble I guess.
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 20, 2016 -> 02:50 PM) They have a lease that runs until 2033. I'd call that a pretty good excuse. Unless you are will to spot them about a billion dollars, give or take. Just break the lease, duh. Prolly like a $50 termination fee or something.
  6. QUOTE (Carpe Diem @ Oct 20, 2016 -> 02:34 PM) He bated .362/.414/.648 in August He bated .319/ .376/.504 in September Very Charlie Tilson-ish LOL Which basically evened out his horrific start because that's how baseball usually works. We have 3 years worth of data on Jose right now to tell us he's a good but not great hitter who happens to be horrific in the field. Is he an asset? Absolutely. Is he someone that's going to bring you a tremendous haul? Absolutely not. Like I said, I'm open to trading anyone but out of the core guys he's going to bring you the least in return so there's no definitely no need to trade him.
  7. I don't think Jose's value is all that high and he's probably more valuable to the Sox than anyone else. I'm pretty much open to trading anyone but Jose is down on the list of guys it makes sense to deal.
  8. QUOTE (shipps @ Oct 20, 2016 -> 02:11 PM) I dont think this is true. I think they will look at it as the next step. They will see that they have progressed further in the playoffs each of the last two years and then next year is when it finally happens. If they lose to the Dodgers I think they would feel much more defeated. Agreed.
  9. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Oct 20, 2016 -> 01:09 PM) Eddie Lacy's weight has nothing to do with his ankle injury. I would bet that's not the case.
  10. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Oct 20, 2016 -> 12:40 PM) He's a free agent at season's end, right? It appears so.
  11. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Oct 20, 2016 -> 12:36 PM) I think he was averaging like 5 YPC still though He was. He was having a good season but the constant weight issues seem to be contributing to these injuries.
  12. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 20, 2016 -> 12:30 PM) Eddie Lacy to the IR, ankle surgery Hate to be that guy but he's eating himself out of the league I think.
  13. Lets just all admit that Stevenson is the best team in 8A and we can all be happy!
  14. It just dawned on Greg that he doesn't like Hillary, guys.
  15. So how come nobody like actually answers the questions they're asked in these things?
  16. If the Dodgers get the lead, I'd get crazy and possibly use Kershaw for an inning tonight and then start him game 6.
  17. I was one who liked the Snell pick, I think it's safe to say that I was completely right about that.
  18. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 08:20 PM) We are going to start to learn a lot about who the Spurs really are now with Duncan retired, and Ginobli nearing the end. We will learn that they are one of the best run organizations in all of sports and will continue to be great. We already know that though.
  19. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 10:31 PM) Let's face it. Dodgers are conceding tomorrow pitching the kid. So it'll be 2-2 heading into Kershaw and the closer Jansen will be rested for huge Game 5. Jebus. And Jansen has thrown like 40 pitches in 4 days, he'll be fine to pitch tomorrow and there's an off day in between to game 5. This is no big deal at all. EDIT: Well I'm an idiot, thought there was an off day between games 4 and 5, my bad. Still don't think the extra 15 pitches will be killer but that does change it some for sure.
  20. QUOTE (Tony @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 12:19 PM) 1. That's not true. Check out the Indians Twitter, check out the LA Kings Twitter, check out the Atlanta Hawks Twitter. 2. The Cubs have had the same tone on social media for the last 3 seasons. The Cubs and Kaminsky exchange has been entertaining from both sides, not sure why we wouldn't want stuff like that on social media. Nothing malicious, just stupid fun. And I always love the Kings and CM Punk back and forth's during hockey season.
  21. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 12:09 PM) There's a big difference between "having fun" and "being a total ass to everyone", IMO. I don't mind an occasional roast but they do it so often for a professional team. That account and Frank are clearly having fun with this, I don't see why anyone would ever have a problem with this. If it wasn't the Cubs, you wouldn't care if we're being honest.
  22. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 12:06 PM) The Cubs Twitter account is so unprofessional. They take digs at other teams/players that are completely unnecessary. I hate it when people have fun at their jobs.
  23. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 10:37 AM) If you get injured for the year you lose your surname in my brain. Haha, love it.
  24. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 09:44 AM) With Alshon Jeffery/AJ Green and Larry Fitzgerald along with Sammy Watson I thought I'd be playoff bound after week 2. Then Watson goes down and I'm getting nothing more than "fine" games from those guys and Forte is not the sure 10 plus player due to catches he once was and my team sucks. Good ol' Sammy Watson.
  25. Ya, I'm not a Goldberg fan at all but people are happy to see him back so whatever. Keeps Brock from destroying someone that matters anyways.
