  1. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 10:40 PM) Lebron definitely tried to step over him. Didn't throw him down in the slightest, that was as blatant of a flop as you'll see. He also kicked out his leg before Lebron stepped over him to try to trip him. He definitely swiped at him and at least created momentum for Dray to flop. They're both at fault as they both are what they are.
  2. Hope we can find another SS when Anderson is elected president this year.
  3. Mac blows. And Spiegs and Goff are great together, I hope they don't break those two apart any time soon.
  4. I get that it's ingrained in Sox fans minds that the team never walks and strikes out a ton but those things are super far down the list on actual issues with this squad.
  5. QUOTE (Black_Jack29 @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 12:49 PM) Nothing I've read about Anderson this year suggested that he was excelling at Charlotte and was ready to take the next step. And you have to remember that Anderson is not your typical prospect. He was primarily a basketball player in high school who didn't play baseball until later. So, development-wise, he's a little behind. For the sake of his development, it would've been preferable to leave Anderson in AAA for the remainder of the year and allow him to continue developing. So while Anderson may be the best option for the Sox (and that's debatable), I don't agree that it's the best thing for Anderson in the long-term. And the Sox's farm system isn't exactly loaded with can't-miss position player prospects, so I wish that they would've handled him a little more cautiously. Especially since he's probably a .700 OPS in a best-case scenario this season, and thus a very modest upgrade over Saladino/Sanchez. He's also defensive downgrade from Saladino, which further lowers his current value to the team. To me, the best way to improve is to play against the best players out there, that's where I'll always disagree with everyone. He's proven he's mentally tough enough to bounce back if and when he falters so lets get him up here and play against the best competition possible. He's not fully developed of course but to me this is the best possible thing for his development.
  6. QUOTE (Black_Jack29 @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 12:33 PM) JR would probably offer Hahn a different position within the organization (probably Kenny's) rather than fire him outright, but I don't doubt for a second that JR would strongly consider removing Hahn from the GM position this winter. JR doesn't have another 10 or 15 years to win another championship. He wants to win now, and his public irritation with this team's performance shows his lack of patience. If Hahn was so certain about his job security, he wouldn't be making desperation moves like throwing $30M at a washed-up James Shields and bringing up Tim Anderson a half-season before he's ready. What does 'ready' mean? Just cause he isn't fully developed yet doesn't mean he isn't capable of contributing at the major league level. It's entirely possible that Rick feels this gives the current major league team the best chance to win and is the best thing for Tim. I know that's how I feel.
  7. Do the Royals have a win against a non White Sox team this season?
  8. f*** Trump and all but you guys have some low standards for "funny."
  9. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 07:03 AM) He will most likely stick up as a fourth OFer at this point. I don't see them sending him anywhere I'm not saying you're wrong cause I have no idea what the sox will do but I have no clue what the point in keeping him around as a 4th outfielder does. His skillset or lack thereof is pretty awful for a 4th of.
  10. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 9, 2016 -> 05:36 PM) If you add Latos, Rollins, Jackson (who has been "okay" recently at least), Avila, Morneau, Jacob Turner, etc., together, would have been MUCH wiser to spend that money on Ian Desmond/Fowler/Denard Span and Aroldis Chapman. Then we might actually have a fighting chance. One of those cases where spreading out money TOO thinly has led to diminishing returns. Latos earned his money for sure, because we would be dead and buried without his first 4-5 starts. On paper, you're definitely not wrong. The funny thing is, I'm not fully convinced that those guys would be having the years they're having if they were on the Sox. Whether it's the coaching staff, the clubhouse, Soxtalk or whatever, there's something that's just f***ed up with this organization.
  11. There's obviously no reason to be mad about this move but this organization is just funny to follow at times.
  12. It'll no doubt deliver but ya, it's the first takeover event that I haven't been overly excited for. The lack of Bayley, Sasha, KO and Sami probably has something to do with that.
  13. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 8, 2016 -> 09:23 AM) I'm going to make my delusional prediction right here and right now. Bulls will be the next superteam. Next year they will sign an opted out Durant and a FA Westbrook to go with Jimmy Butler. Oh Gage.
  14. Better than 5th place!
  15. Helwani ban has been lifted already. Not surprised as there was quite the backlash from it.
  16. I liked the Styles-Cena stuff a lot(John is so damn good when he wants to be serious) but besides that not too exciting so far.
  17. I'm guessing Phil Brooks. I'd bet they do something with Ronda too but who knows.
  18. QUOTE (shipps @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 04:39 PM) Popstar was great. God I loved that movie. I really like that crew but this still kind of surprises me to hear for whatever reason.
  19. This trade is whatever to me. Shields is probably better than what we have but he's not very good either. Didn't give up anything of consequence(even if you like EJ he was never going to succeed here) but are picking up some money. Whatever. On that note cause I got a feeling this is going to come up...if EJ does end up having some success there just remember that it wasn't going to happen here.
  20. QUOTE (hi8is @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 02:12 PM) If Jay is included I see him in left at times with Melky moving to DH I approve of this message.
  21. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 11:31 AM) Cubs aren't going away, but willhave their best shot this year and next in a weak NL and Arrieta still under contract. NL playoffs is going to be about as tough as it can get.
  22. Ya, I'm all for making a trade to improve this team but no on James Shields. The offer being "compelling" scares me off by itself.
