  1. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 12:33 PM) White Sox don't hit but win, dark clouds. Cubs don't hit but win. They are going to be unstoppable. From one person.
  2. QUOTE (whitesoxjr27 @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 02:49 PM) Is it raining on the south side? Cubs game was delayed. They're in St. Louis.
  3. QUOTE (ptatc @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 01:48 PM) Do people ( not necessarily you) still think Flowers had to go and anybody would better better than him? I never thought Flowers needed to go and would have been absolutely fine with him being our starting C this year but by years end this duo will be better than what we were getting out of our catchers last year. I feel pretty confident in saying that.
  4. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 19, 2016 -> 10:18 PM) If the season ended today, would Mat Latos win the Cy Young? Not if Albers has anything to say about it.
  5. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 19, 2016 -> 07:19 PM) Eh I said it was trolling earlier but it's definitely legit now. Legit to an extent. I'm sure he'll fight again but he's done for the time being. He can go to WWE and make more or do something else. Seems to be a popular opinion. How are the UFC contracts laid out? I highly doubt he could just "retire" and go right to the E. Certainly intriguing though.
  6. QUOTE (Whitewashed in '05 @ Apr 19, 2016 -> 06:57 PM) Can't believe people actually thinks this is true. This guy is just starting to make millions. He's not going to let that go... Cmon. Well he's out of UFC 200 so who knows what the hell is going on.
  7. Everyone else in mma has now retired too.
  8. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 19, 2016 -> 09:36 AM) Like them taking out AJ and aligning with Roman at the ppv. Can't wait! I don't think they're going to align with Roman but I definitely expect them to take out AJ. We'll see.
  9. The Anderson and Gallows stuff continues to be super intriguing because they can go so many ways with it. Interested to see the payoff.
  10. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Apr 18, 2016 -> 10:34 PM) Really hope Thibs gets the TWolves job. He can do wonders with that roster and a likely top 5 pick coming as well. That team is going to be scary going forward no matter what but add Thibs? They're going to be killer.
  11. QUOTE (Tony @ Apr 18, 2016 -> 06:44 PM) They still tape TV shows? That's a bold move in 2016 They're in London so that's why it's on "tape delay" this week. Normally raw is live.
  12. QUOTE (scs787 @ Apr 18, 2016 -> 06:21 PM) Ugh. Raw was taped and my cousin sent my spoilers.. Sounds pretty good though. I have no will power to avoid spoilers. But yes, looks like another fun show.
  13. The longer Jimmy is here, the more people are going to start to hate him, I'm positive of that. There's a ton of things wrong with this organization but he's definitely one of them. He also makes a lot of money and will get you something good in return, get rid of his ass asap.
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 18, 2016 -> 11:45 AM) That is more to answer the idea that a running back has no effect on an offense, not a valuation of Ellliot. There's about 3 rb's in the NFL that make that kind of difference in today's NFL. No idea why anyone would draft a rb that high now a days.
  15. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 17, 2016 -> 10:38 PM) To be fair, the Grizzlies are missing Conley and Gasol and the Mavs are without Parsons. Houston just sucks all the way around. They were my sleeper finals pick before the season started. My worst prediction since I had the Knicks as the second best team in the east behind Miami in '12. If you got Vince Carter on your team, you should win every game, no excuses.
  16. The Warriors suck for only winning their first game by 26.
  17. QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 17, 2016 -> 05:20 PM) I just can't believe they gave up on the Ascension so fast. I think it'd be different if they came up just now for the first time. Because they suck. I never found them interesting but they definitely were super over with the Full Sail crowd.
  18. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 17, 2016 -> 11:49 AM) Why waste your time on baseball at all if your strategy is to be miserable even when things are going well? Just kick yourself in the nuts and get it over with. That sounds difficult.
  19. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 17, 2016 -> 11:24 AM) True. I just hate those four words: "out for the playoffs." You just know somebody or somebodies are going to go down that will alter the big picture of the playoffs between now and June. For sure. And with most of these West series going to be clunkers, it sucks to have one of the series in the East affected by an injury like this.
  20. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 17, 2016 -> 10:20 AM) Hasn't been confirmed yet. But it looks like Avery Bradley could be out for the playoffs. Huge bomb for the Celtics. So sick of these types of injuries happening every f***ing postseason. Would just like to see one postseason in which nobody gets hurt. Doesn't matter in the big picture of the playoffs but it's definitely robbing us of what could have been a pretty epic series between Boston and Atlanta.
  21. QUOTE (ronkark @ Apr 17, 2016 -> 03:12 AM) Been holding off on raising this but I can't be the only one who is having LaRoche/Dunn/Thome flashbacks given Frazier's early struggles I can't keep it in anymore. He's batting .178 and that includes today's gift popup hit. 10K's in 45 at bats on pace for over 200. No he's not Dunn or LaRoche. But LaRoche was coming off a great first half, bad second half season and so is Todd. Also he's adjusting to AL, which the other two struggled with. I'm not overly confident he'll hit even .240 this year. And that will kill this team. Really really really hope it picks up soon. the offense has been hidden by stellar pitching but Todd, Abreu with 12 K's in 36 at bats, Rollins, Jackson, Avi Ugh, Avila, Navarro, Shuck. We can have 4 guys struggle. Not 8. Sooner rather than later please! You have to remember that Todd came off a bad 2nd half in 2014 and did just fine in 2015. He just seems to be a streaky half to half hitter and the numbers even out to a pretty good season. It's 11 games, no need to worry yet. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 17, 2016 -> 07:23 AM) Despite the team being 8-3 it is pretty obvious they are no more, than a 65-70 win team. Just from what I hav read here, there are a lot of problems. Eaton, Lawrie clubhouse cancers Avila, Fraizer, Cabrera, Rollins washed up The league has figured out Abreu Avi is one of the worst players in baseball Jerry Sands serves no purpose They have Danks in the rotation and Petricka, Duke, Putnam in the bullpen You know it is just a matter of time with Latos Even Chris Sale is too much of a hot head and should go away. Finally they are managed by a stooge. 8-3 with 9 games in the road is OK, but despite all these horrible players and manager and coaches, it clearly should be better. The fans deserve better. All of these are the majority opinion of the board of course.
  22. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 16, 2016 -> 09:15 PM) I love Danks but I'd rather have two righty starters to go with lefties Sale, Q and Rodon. Why are the Sox so crazy bout lefty starters? I think Danks could be a good reliever if he throws strikes. Worth a shot. Duke blows. I still love Johnny Danks but he's really been our only bad starter so far. Because 3 of them are awesome and the 4th makes a lot of money.
  23. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Apr 16, 2016 -> 06:46 PM) Cant we ever just tip our cap when a pitcher throws well against us? I mean ramirez had a really nice game People are less willing to do that when it happens game after game. I haven't seen a ton of games this year but it definitely seems like the offense hasn't been very good so far. That said it's only been (almost)11 games so far so we still have no clue what we actually have.
  24. I'm not sure how one loves John Danks now a days but the hate towards him is pretty hilarious at this point too.
  25. QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 16, 2016 -> 10:32 AM) The Nats have a better record than the Cubs right now. That's a super random post.
