  1. Well, whether you wanted guillen or not nobody knew he was going to be this type of player. As far as Reed and Borch go, I myself probably would have kept reed but he likes borch better and your boy ain't exactly tearing it up jreedfan8. But I think this is just something we'll have to agree to disagree on.
  2. I wholeheartidly disagree. Kenny has done a great job and if it wasn't for injuries this team would be up there with any team in the game. Unfortunately these injuries have further exploited how bad some of these guys are at the fundamentals. If this team doesn't get in to postseason play, the offense will be reworked around with a ton more speed and fundamentally sound players.
  3. YIKES, that lineup is so poor but no matter what you do the lineup is going to be poor, my lineup would look like: Willie 2b arow cf lee lf pk 1b Jose ss Crede 3b Timo dh Borch rf catching trio *sigh* How poor is that lineup Now how good is this lineup if maggs and frank ever come back: willie 2b arow cf maggs rf frank dh lee lf jose ss konerko 1b crede 3b the tremendous trio
  4. Ace, if this team doesn't make the playoffs you can't bet there will be some major changes to the roster next year. I'd also rather wait for the offseason to worry about next year but you can bet if this team isn't in the playoffs, there will be some wholesale changes to make it more of an "ozzieball" team.
  5. I hope your right. Even with a low batting average, his on base percentage is still acceptable. Someone has to get willie to run though when he's on base, he's to damn fast to be stationary.
  6. Man, I really thought Singleton was the guy, good speed, very good defender, even could swing it his first couple years but then HE GONE.
  7. Sounds good, if Wes has 2 bad outings in a row then there is no doubt that it is all your avatar's fault.
  8. Guzman's obp this year is .314 :puke so I would say no he can't leadoff. I'm not really sure who else is out there to be a leadoff and that also has a good glove, guzman fits the good glove but not the leadoff man type. Like I said if Contreras fixes his flaw then keep the rotation as is and that rotation is going to be more then solid, somehow find the shortstop we're all looking for, a cheap catcher, fill in the pen and the team should be good to go.

Dan, let me know, I'll definitely be in and kick all your guys asses.

That would be fun as hell.
  11. If Wes throws a perfect game then it's all because of your avatar, if he sucks it's all because of your avatar, so we'll see what happens.
  12. Why do you keep saying the cubs gave up s*** for nomar. They gave up a damn good pitching prospect in justin jones, a major league shortstop, francis beltran who is supposed to be the closer of the future and brendan harris who also was one of their top 10 spects to start the year. So they give up four players for an overrated shortstop, yet they gave up s***? I don't understand.
  13. Josh, we've tried that so many times already but for somereason he just won't go away. :headshake
  14. If we can get Contreras to pitch up to his stuff then starting pitching is going to be the biggest strength of this team next season. Basically we'll go into the offseason with a starting rotation already filled out and have a damn good rotation to build this team around, which is the way to do things. Get good starting pitching and fill in from there.
  15. Ok I'm blaming wes's poor performance on you, it's obviously your avatar's fault.
  16. Dasox, you think sweeney and bmac are gonna take more then 3 years to be here?
  17. Me too, I hope he gets well soon Minn.
  18. So f***in sick that you had to repeat it twice.
  19. Actually it has been mentioned. :headshake That really sucks that he wouldn't waive his no trade to come here, really pisses me off. :fyou Delgado.
  20. Kenny and the sox threw in the towel when they were in first place? Now I've heard everything.
  21. I'm with you on crede. I mentioned beltre because the guy is an absolute stud but it's not worth going after him for that kind of money when crede can do an adequate job and I definitely wouldn't want to sign Glaus for big money. Kenny's main priorities in the offseason should be imo, a true leadoff guy to play either short or 2nd and maybe get two guys that could hit at the top of the order to play the middle infield, a descent catcher, and relief pitching. The middle of the order will be fine again next year and the starting pitching has a chance to be damn good, if not addressed the bullpen and tops and bottoms of the order would also be a problem.
