Kenny has something else up his sleeve. He always flies under the radar and I don't think he'll make another blockbuster trade but add pitching depth. To me it speaks how good KW really is because he's already made 2 trades and most of us expect him to make atleast one more and some contenders might not even make one deal.
When the flubs rotation is 100 percent healthy they have the 2nd best 1-5 in the league, imo behind the marlins. I'm just saying though if your going zambrano, clement, and maddux vs. Buehrle, Garica, and Benson, I'd take the ladder.
That's not a fair comparison at all to compare al pitchers with nl pitchers. Actually by the numbers you gave I think you've proved that the sox trio would be better then the cubs trio. However if you add a healthy prior some where into that flubs trio then the flubs is better.
This could be wrong but off the top of my head against those teams the Sox records are:
Anaheim 3-3
Haven't played Boston
Twins 7-3
Yanks 3-4
Oakland 1-5 Colliseum :fyou
Texas 3-2
Yeah, he looked pretty bad up here earlier in the season. It would be awesome to have last years Kelly Wunsch back but at this point I think that's unrealistic.
Very well said. I agree with everything you said and it's definitely bulls*** that strikeout pitchers are better then groundball pitchers, like yoda said, outs are outs.
Good point. I'm not saying picking the royals was smart because it obviously wasn't but they seemed to be the sexy pick in this division, most "experts" were picking the royals, for what reason, I have no idea.
I agree with you Rex. I don't think predictions is the best way to determine if someone knows baseball or not, it's really an unpredictable sport, I mean how many people had the astros winning the nl central, I did. I also had the Angels winning the world series.
Obviously Crede hasn't been great but we don't need to upgrade 3rd base. Kenny needs to look for more pitching and then after that a catcher. Crede will be fine and we all know what kind of defensive 3rd basemen he is. Right now with Everett and Maggs in the lineup at the same time, this lineup has become incredibly deep. Crede will be batting 8th with the catching trio 9th, outside of that, this lineup is very deep and with Maggs and Carl in the lineup together they've scored in double digits both games, obviously that isn't going to keep up but I believe they'll be a much more consistant lineup with Carl and Maggs in there together.
Harold Reynolds always ends up jumping on the sox bandwagon. I remember last year in August he was asked who the best team was in the american league and he said he thought the White Sox were, so this isn't much of a surprise to me, even though he predicted us to finish 4th in the division.
