  1. It was dramastically.
  2. Ditto. I'd rather sign freddy then maggs. Keep the stud pitcher instead of the stud right fielder. Now the sox have 2 very good young starters as the 1-2 punch, that's something that's very nice to have. I liked the trade at the beginning but it was hard for me to see miguel and jeremy go but mostly miguel. Now that Freddy is resigned for 3 more years it really makes this deal good for not only the present but the future, way to go kw.
  3. Brando you got to get over RJ. We'd all love to get Randy but it just isn't going to happen. I also disagree with saying that Anderson and Garland aren't any good. Garland is definitely inconsistant but he's still a solid pitcher that will still get better. I don't understand how you say Anderson isn't good, the guy is tearing birmingham up now, what do you base Anderson not being good on, that comment just confuses me.
  4. This is ridiculous. I've probably been the biggest carlos basher around but he did absolutely nothing at wrong in this at bat. For you to say he was swinging at anything is absolutely nonsense. Krod is one of the nastiest pitchers around, carlos got a fast ball and absolutely hammered it but unfortunately it was at garrett anderson. I know carlos isn't always the smartest player around but he did everything right in this bat by hammering a ball to right center, he did absolutely nothing wrong.
  5. I agree with that. I'd love to get eddie however I really don't want to get rid of cotts. If you still consider him a prospect he's probably the last prospect I would get rid of. Neal is going to be one hell of a starter in this league, book it.
  6. That's the thing that is really bothering me. Enough of maggs talking I either want to see him play or dealt. I to am intrigued by ortiz and jones but only if atlanta will eat andruw's salary.
  7. Aw good times. I use to love wrestling back in the day. LOD was amazing.
  8. That's kind of what I thought, I just remember Roberts name was floating around all over the place before the year started.
  9. Rex if your getting promoted, who's getting demoted to birmingham?
  10. Here's an interesting question. Is Brian Roberts still on the market? At the beginning of the year he seemed to be in a ton of trade rumors but those all died down. Do you guys still think he could be had because I would absolutely love to get him.
  11. Pavano is definitely the number one guy I want the sox to go after. He's just flat out filthy, just watching him in the playoffs last year you could tell he turned the corner. I'm really interested to see what the market is for Carl. How much do you think he'll get?
  12. Come on now heads, we had the argument all settled, now you opened the door back up for more argument. :headshake
  13. Well everyone there you have it, it's settled. Jeez now that wasn't so hard.
  14. I just love looking at gio's stat line and keep seeing no walks. With this guy's control and stuff for him it's just a matter of staying healthy. Gio has a real chance to be something special if he can stay healthy.
  15. So...... how about that Chris Young.
  16. Ok that's just complete and utter bulls***. Reed has not once complained about his wrists. They've both been fighting injuries this year and both have been doing solid jobs. If you don't like reed and think Borch is better, make a real argument don't come back with bs.
  17. Like I said before I'm really split on this reed vs. borchard argument but I think right now it's kind of crazy to compare these guys to major leaguers. I know you can compare them to who they're similar to but the comparisons kind of are crazy, by that I mean reed has been compared to mark kotsay but he's also been compared to Rafeal Palmeiro, Borch according to people is either russell branyon or adam dunn. Obviously who knows what either of them will turn out to be, there definitely can be an argument made for each player, I think they're both very talented and I hope they both succeed.
  18. It's unbelievable because the guy had 84 straight saves and his streak gets broken by one of the worst teams in baseball.
  19. Well put dbaho. That's probably the best way you can explain this scenario.
  20. Out of all teams the diamondbacks. Wow absolutely unbelievable. Maybe the dodgers will trade him now that the streak is over.
  21. Oh yeah that's a great idea move Jose the better fielder to 2nd or 3rd.
