Here comes a little rant by me because I was at the game and I'm f***in pissed: This game should have never been f***in called. The field wasn't as bad the last rain delay as it was when they took the tarp off a 3rd time. They canceled the game in f***ing sunshine and the f***ing grounds crew at this dump took forever to get the tarp on and off the f***ing field every rain delay. Once the rain would stop they'd wait 10 f***ing minutes to pull the tarp off and by the time they'd pull the f***ing thing off the rain would come back. This game was handled so f***ing poorly and if this f***ing game was finished the sox would have won. They absolutely tatooed maddux in the 5th but unfortunately couldn't get any runs across. Then in the 6th they finally did, no doubt in my mind they win this game if they finish it. f*** the grounds crew. :fyou And f*** that dump on clark and addison. :fyou

I'm guessing the number 1 catcher he's referring to would be jason kendall because I've heard rumors about that, as for pitching maybe Russ Ortiz or bullpen help.
-
I'd rather have a tired mark buehrle in there then Mike Jackson, Cliff Politte, Neal Cotts, everyone else out in the bullpen except for shingo and damaso but you can't use those guys every day and the bullpen has some major issues right now, along with the whole pitching staff.
-
So what the hell does that mean, day is a good pitcher but he's no where near a great pitcher. This team has struggled against any good pitchers this year and that needs to change I'm not talking about lighting these guys up but how about 3 or 4 runs one of these games. This is supposed to be one of the best offenses in baseball you'd think they'd be able to score more then 1 earned run on day. Garland pitched damn good and the offense didn't show up, it wasn't garlands fault, it was this offenses fault, period.
-
No this loss does not fall on Jon. I agree he was worried about his no hitter to much but the offense mustered up 2 stinking runs for him tonight, garland pitched great and should have won this game, it's not his fault, it's the offenses fault.
-
No it's not bulls***. Rowand needs to be on the bench, the same thing happened last year. He sucks then gets hot, then sucks and gets hot. He's a good bench player but that's what he is a bench player.
-
It takes two to trade, kenny can't make other teams trade, why don't you get your head out of your ass and realize that.
-
Wow, unbelievable you blame this game on Jon? :headshake Garland pitched one hell of a game the offense didn't show up, just like the title of this thread says this series is embarrasing.
-
This looks to be completely false. Mods please delete this thread or get rid of it some how. Sorry about this everyone I feel like a complete dips***, next time I'll get confirmation before posting a trade. me :dips***

Jose Santiago Maybe?
-
God damn. The guy who posted this on wsi just said he can't find confirmation on this right now and it might not be true. If this isn't true I'm going to feel like an ass hole, sorry about this everyone if it ain't true. me :dips***

The return of the batting tee. I thought you would have donated it to the marlins board seeing as they now have botch.
-
Just to add Meadows era this year is 2.65 looks to be a nice pickup by Kenny.
-
The white sox acquired brian meadows from the Pirates for Jon Rauch. I saw this posted on wsi so sorry no link. But meadows is having a very good year and should help sure up the pen.

Ditto, but santiago was real good with cleveland last year so I think he could be effective here also.
-
It was his first ml start I know you don't want to hear that as an excuse and to tell you the truth I don't either but it was and arnie will be ok, just didn't have it today(understatement of the day). As far as the expos lineup they didn't seem to have much trouble off buehrle either , maybe all of the sudden they've just got hot. When their lineup is fully healthy it really shouldn't be that bad with: cabrera, vidro, carl, nick johnson.

Yup, I was just talking to my friend about that, we're right back to where we were last year with the bullpen, really two guys we can depend on. Wunsch was solid but jerry only used him for a batter or so. It seems like we have some good options in the minors for bullpen help, although I'm kind of scared to go back down to the minors for help. But santiago was very solid for cleveland last year and probably deserves a shot. Courtney Duncan has been solid, he was actually really good with the flubs until carlos hit that walk of granny off him(good memories.) Baj and majewski might also warrant shots but I think santiago should be the first one to get his shot out of the bullpen.
-
Jeez, take it easy on him. It was his major league debut and he definitely sucked but c'mon he's got a very nice curve, his changeup even seemed to be descent, his fastball is good enough, he'll be a solid pitcher one day, just not today.
-
So do I and so does everybody but the point I'm trying to make is I'm not sure if shingo has pitched 2 innings in a game this year, maybe he has but I think with 3 lefties coming up ozzie felt it was a good spot for neal.
-
The sad part is all the guys we've had come up this year have made danny look like cy young atleast wright kept us in a couple ball games.
-
Has shingo had a 2 inning outing this year?? I'm not sure if he has and if he hasn't that probably wouldn't have been the best thing to do, there were 3 lefties coming up, cotts looked good that first inning and then he just got burned on a pitch that was almost unhittable and should have been ball 3. In my opinion ozzie did nothing wrong in that instance.

No diaz, no munoz, no rauch, a proven starter........ PLEASE. Kenny needs to get a starter in here before the next time the 5th position comes up. If seattle is unwilling to trade right now, kenny might go out there find a 5th starter that you can use as a stop gap until seattle is ready to make freddy available, then stick the 5th guy into the bullpen and give jackson or cotts their walking papers. I don't know if anyone saw this but this kind of scared me, Dan Evans who is now a mariners scout was at the yankees game today scouting their starter they had out there, hopefully nothing will come of that but that can't be a good sign.
-
Jeckle, who the hell would you have put in, shingo for the 8th and then if the sox do score put him back out there in the 9th. Adkins??? Damaso wasn't available tonight so keeping cotts in was the right thing to do. Anyways this game hurt because they got so close but this team definitely doesn't give up. Unfortunately Arnie and the bullpen were pathedic, willie's missed bunt attempt really put a dagger through my heart that hurt a lot. On the bright side the twins lost.

It's Favre.

Miguel is kicking ass now, up 15.5 percent.
