  1. To answer the original question in this thread, I still think the most realistic timeline is 2020. That said, I'm not going to be shocked if it happens in 2019 and I'm not going to be shocked if it takes until 2021. The fact that there's so much talent but also so many questions marks just makes it impossible to actually know.
  2. QUOTE (WBWSF @ Aug 14, 2017 -> 08:04 AM) 1) Clippard was just moved to Houston. Another salary dump. The recent trades with KC, Yankees and Tampa Bay were nothing but salary dumps. The team traded Dan Jennings to Tampa bay for absolutely nothing. We now have Bummer as our only lefty in the bullpen. And he can't get anybody out. 2) I read yesterday that the White Sox are contemplating moving Avi Garcia and Abreu this off season. I have no doubt in my mind that both of them will be moved for prospects. More salary dumps. The team now has the worse pitching staff in MLB. Without Avi Garcia and Abreu we will have the worse offense in MLB And the lowest payroll in MLB. Are you even following what's happening?
  3. QUOTE (Real @ Aug 13, 2017 -> 02:27 AM) yeah, the constant word diarrhea I'm forced to read here can do that. How do you think the rest of us feel having to read your awful posts lately...
  4. QUOTE (danman31 @ Aug 13, 2017 -> 01:19 AM) I'm starting to think we see Eloy as a September call up next year. The way he is hitting is crazy. If he can come close to this level next year in AA, why not give him a few at-bats at the end of what is likely to be another bad White Sox season? What do we think the ETA on Kopech is? There's no rush, but there's a decent chance he'll be one of the five best starting pitchers in the organization come spring training next year. Kopech is already one of the top 5 pitchers in the organization imo. With both of these guys I think you see what's happening with the organization come June or so next year. I have no problem keeping both of them down in the minors until 2019, I also have no problem getting both of them to the majors sometime mid next year. I know people don't want to rush things but these two guys are timeline changers as far as the rebuild goes.
  5. Since Eloy has been in the organization I think him and Kopech have put up the best numbers of all time ha.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 12, 2017 -> 07:51 PM) Eloy, good lord Ha touché
  7. Kopech and Eloy are silly good. This is nuts.
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 12, 2017 -> 06:47 PM) It's to the point that 1-3 with a walk seems like a bad game Joked with a Cubs fan buddy of mine(who is a smart baseball fan) that it was his worst game with us so far. Actually might be true ha. Ps I agree with you on Blake.
  9. What would happen if Kopech faced Eloy?
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 12, 2017 -> 06:42 PM) Eloy beasting Beyond incredible right now.
  11. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 12, 2017 -> 09:25 AM) I get to go to another Shields start. What fun. I went to like 4 or 5 Scott Schoeneweis starts in 2004. That was fun.
  12. QUOTE (Quin @ Aug 12, 2017 -> 10:12 AM) Hush, Anderson32 That's some high praise. Thank you.
  13. QUOTE (Quin @ Aug 12, 2017 -> 10:10 AM) Bmags why That's ReyLo.
  14. I want the first pick pretty badly but if these guys that are part of our next winning group are going to start winning us games already then I'm going to be happy about it.
  15. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 12, 2017 -> 09:06 AM) Is there even a precedence of NFL suspensions being reduced via appeal? I know it's standard in baseball, but don't remember it happening in football. Happens all the time.
  16. QUOTE (ReyLo @ Aug 12, 2017 -> 09:12 AM) Yeah I can't get Ventura out of my head either when I look at him. This was a great debut but def have ammo to both sides on whether he's a long term starter or lights out no piece. His velocity maintained but his stuff took a step back after 3. That's fair. I'm guessing he was a little over amped in the first few innings and might have tired quicker than usual though. I don't think he's going to be throwing 99 and 100 most games, prolly somewhere in the 95-96 range going forward.
  17. QUOTE (Real @ Aug 12, 2017 -> 02:29 AM) he didn't look nervous at all, was good to see reminded me of the upside of Gavin Floyd I would like to hear where this comparison is coming from because there is not a single thing in his arsenal that would remind one of Gavin Floyd.
  18. QUOTE (ReyLo @ Aug 11, 2017 -> 08:43 PM) Ross Gload He was great defensively though.
  19. ReyLo's heater and change were nasty for a while. Hung the breaking ball a decent amount and started to hang the change later in the game. But damn, he's impressive.
  20. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 11, 2017 -> 05:16 PM) Does he have a jersey listed for Family Weekend/Nicknames Day? If he does, I can't imagine it'd be anything but ReyLo
  21. Would be a great way to start the weekend if ReyLo can have a quality start tonight.
