  1. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Aug 1, 2017 -> 07:27 AM) I gotta say Matt Foster has put up video game numbers in his early career so far. Got some sleep this time Row? Haha indeed. Hopefully today will be a little better of a day for me.
  2. I also don't think they're moving Rutherford away from CF until they absolutely have to.
  3. Kopech done. 8 k's and 0 walks. Awesome.
  4. Ya what Fathom said ha.
  5. Kopech getting hit around a bit in the 5th. Still no walks though so that's good.
  6. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 31, 2017 -> 07:51 PM) You've had an incredibly s***ty day posting on different threads. Good lord I need to go to bed.
  7. Only 82 pitches through 7 for Dane. EDIT: Nevermind. 100 through 7 so I'm guessing he's done. What a freakin game.
  8. Dunning finally gave up a couple hits and a run but 10 k's and 0 walks through 5.
  9. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 29, 2017 -> 12:35 PM) Worth mentioning: First half - 6 BB/9 (44 BB in 66 IP) Second half - 3.6 BB/9 (13 in 32.1 IP) And, over his last 3 starts, he's at 1.8 BB/9 over 20 IP, including an 8 inning start where he didn't walk anyone. That's as much tangible progress as I need to see that he's developing. Good stuff Wite.
  10. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 31, 2017 -> 06:26 PM) Only one player selected #1 overall is a member of the hall of fame (Griffey Jr). Chipper Jones will join that club and Arod should be in that club (whether he actually gets voted in or not is to be determined). How many have there been at every other draft spot?
  11. Micker double as well. Dane perfect through 2 with 4 k's.
  12. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jul 31, 2017 -> 06:17 PM) Rutherford single, Burger dinger Jimenez double Well that's just beautiful.
  13. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Jul 31, 2017 -> 05:03 PM) I think you might have posted in the wrong thread? Yes, yes I did ha. Long day or something.
  14. I have nothing to back this up but the striking out looking thing seems to me like it's an easier fix than swinging and missing a lot.
  15. I'll be the one that says I think that's pretty dumb but whatever.
  16. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Jul 31, 2017 -> 03:59 PM) He's an interesting guy, and definitely one the Sox should be taking a look at. Problem is, he kind of sucks. Ha, I love this post.
  17. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Jul 31, 2017 -> 03:03 PM) its a fair argument, but I can't argue with you over Duke/UNC anymore, so I have to start crap somewhere. lol works for me. It really is a fair point on Rey though as he just seems to be the forgotten man in general. Kopech is arguably the best pitching prospect in baseball, everyone talks about Gio's struggles and his progress, Hansen and Dunning keep making huge strides and then there's Rey just still dominating in Charlotte and going to be the first one in Chicago out of all of them.
  18. It's obviously a fair point but not everyone has the same development timeline. I completely understand why people have Hansen ranked lower but with his stuff and the way he continues to grow and get better, imo he's our 2nd best pitching prospect.
  19. I know a decent amount of people who still use coke. I'm 29 but most of my buddies are in their early 30's and there's at least a hand full of them who do it every now and then.
  20. QUOTE (2005thxfrthmmrs @ Jul 31, 2017 -> 02:40 PM) That's how I view them as well, although I think Fulmer ends up being a quality late inning reliever, which has a lot of value too. 60 FV Kopech 55 FV Hansen Lopez Cease 50 FV Giolito Dunning Burdi 45 FV Guerrero Stephens Adams Fulmer Flores Clarkin Where's Puckett fit in here?
  21. QUOTE (Quin @ Jul 31, 2017 -> 02:41 PM) Just the fact that he was able to get the returns he did in what has become a buyer's market. Executive of the year with like the worst team ever assembled right now. I'm not totally serious obviously but he's had a hell of a year on paper. As Steven said though, it remains to be seen if these guys are as good as we all hope.
  22. To be fair that ballpark vendor has a hell of a curve.
  23. Been like a day since Rick has made a trade. BORING
  24. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 31, 2017 -> 02:11 PM) With more team control. Hahn did about as well as he possibly could have. Yup, good point. We're going to look back at that trade as one of the bigger win-wins of all time imo.
  25. QUOTE (steveno89 @ Jul 31, 2017 -> 02:08 PM) Considering the Yankees were very much in on Quintana as well, would you have accepted this return for Q? I would not have. Nope. We did much better but Q is a better pitcher.
