I have nothing of substance to add, I just truly hate the fact that Tony La Russa is in my life.

That’s actually one of the most fascinating future questions for this franchise…it better be an objective outsider for once.
Theo Epstein didn’t even (really) survive a title, three consecutive NLCS, etc.
Remember when there were people saying the results the Cubs had after their rebuild wouldn’t be good enough for the Sox? Good times.

Should have spent Leury’s money on bringing back Herm.

Hammy? Let me guess, it's a hammy

Can we go rescue Michael Conforto from whatever dimension he was transported to?

How is TA supposed to field that when Naylor ran into Tim?
Ball was already out of his glove when the contact happened. I guess I don't know how the rule works but Tim was already fuckin that play up before the interference.

they aren't going to blow up his value hitting him against tough RHP
I'm actually surprised he hasn't been traded yet to be honest, this front office does not value their top positional talent
AV is doing just fine against rhp so far this season in the sporadic ab's he's seen. And Plesac is not good.

LOLOLOL Ok then

Tying run at the plate in the 7th with Vaughn available? Ya, why wouldn't you keep Haseley in?

Well at least Jake has absolutely murdered the ball today.

For a bad start for him, I’m cool with it.
Agreed. He didn't have good stuff today and didn't get destroyed which shows some progress for him. Obviously if he looks like this consistently it's a problem but for a day where he clearly didn't have it, it's nice he was able to keep us around at least.

Reyes is not most RF. Read the ball and know the outfielder . Analyze, assess, that's what good base runners do.
I mean that's fine and I agree overall but that ball hit him in the glove, it's not like he was 20 feet away from it. Luis is kind of in no man's land there and with 0 outs he decided to tag up which isn't the wrong decision there. Leury was the one that forced everything and ran the team into an out.

One of those days/series when even when we hit the ball hard it's an out. 114 mph exit velocity into a line out. Ouch.

Amazing Sox only scored 1 that inning
Rebuttal: Amazing the Sox scored a run there!

I thought Leury was running the bases well lol? Why is he not watching the runner in front of him?
To be fair, Tony never said he was running the bases well, just running them...

Watching this team without Yoan should make people appreciate him more once he's back, but of course it won't
Yup and yup.

They're incredibly impatient as a group. Scouting report has caught up to them. You don't really have to give them anything to hit, they'll get themselves out.
The lineup needs a lot right now but they need Yoan back in a big way. Especially with Yaz not being Yaz right now, this team has 0 patience.

not that I want him back, but Zach Collins would be the 2nd best hitter on the Sox so far
He'll regress big time shortly. But yes, he's been great so far.

I do understand the worries about Eloy but I'm not quite there yet as I think last year is a bit tough to judge. That said, if he's still looking like ass by the all star break I'll jump aboard the worry train.

The team itself is the bigger issue right now than the manager.
No one is hitting and no one is catching the ball.
We can be mad at the Tony / Leury thing all we want, but this team is playing like shit.
And this is obviously true too. It's just insanely frustrating when your team is struggling big time that your manager isn't putting them in the best spots to succeed either.

Looking back this is inaccurate. He did start 3 out if the 4 but in 2 of those it was in place if Hernandez at 2B. With as bad as hernandez was playing I don't blame the Sox for playing him over Hernandez.
I think Garcia lead the team in RBI on the playoffs.
Unless I'm forgetting or misreading stuff now he did indeed start all 4. And once again, the results of last playoffs(no one is going to forget Leury's homer) is not what we're talking about at all here. It's how Tony views him and these random rest schedules.
Anywho the game has started so I'll let it be.
The problem with the top 6 in the lineup

Agreed on all points. Yaz will be fine and getting Yoan’s obp back in the lineup will certainly help but ya, it’s incredible that a weakness that everyone knew about(and like you said, Hahn called out himself) wasn’t addressed in the off-season.
