QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 18, 2017 -> 08:30 PM) Call me crazy, but what if Hahn and Cashman have been having ongoing conversations about Robertson and it came up as "what would it take for us to get Torres?" And Cashman said Frazier and Kahnle? The Yanks still have Gregorious through 2020 and he's turned into a pretty damn good player. I don't think that would happen BUT for all 3 I don't think it's completely 100 percent out of the equation either.

QUOTE (Username @ Jul 18, 2017 -> 06:12 PM) Did they re-release lineups? What's online is just based on earlier I think. Ya they just fixed a misspelling according to Fegan.
-
Todd still in the lineup.
-
Maybe Todd Frazier made a base running mistake in pre game today. Had to be yanked.

Be funny if Rick is just trolling.

QUOTE (yesterday333 @ Jul 18, 2017 -> 05:51 PM) Correct me if I am wrong but wouldn't it be who is hugging whom? Ha fair enough.

My buddy texted me that maybe with kershaw pitching they just didn't want to embarrass any of the trade chips ha.

QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Jul 18, 2017 -> 05:34 PM) Hansen had a no-hitter through 5 2/3 but then hit a guy and gave up a single. Now he's done for the day. 8K, 2BB, 1H. Dude can't even throw a no hitter in a 7 inning game. What a bum.

In a season like this I'm completely cool with it. Be entertaining.

QUOTE (Quin @ Jul 18, 2017 -> 12:23 PM) ...did my memory fabricate this last year? I legit just don't remember. I certainly wouldn't be shocked if there were people trying to dfa Rob, I just don't recall.
-
QUOTE (Quin @ Jul 18, 2017 -> 11:57 AM) Remember when a bunch of people wanted to DFA Robertson? Man times change. Was that actually a thing? My dumbass would have dfa'd Avi but I don't remember the dfa Robertson bandwagon as much.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 18, 2017 -> 12:14 AM) I am not a prospects guy. I like proven players, though not many hitters are truly elite and not many pitchers are truly elite any more. That said, a lot of you are prospects people so I ask you, since so many gave the rebuild a 9 or 10 in this thread: Taking all the talent the Sox have acquired into consideration and assuming we keep Abreu around as well as Rodon and Anderson ... can you assure me 1 to 3 World Series appearances only taking the guys we acquired and our homegrown minor leaguers into consideration as well as the fact the Sox are sure to get some more good prospects for David Robertson and maybe Melky? Can you assure me 1-3 World Series appearances and/or WS titles? I gave the rebuild 2 so far cause I need proof and I am not a prospects guy. No. Can't assure that for any team in the history of baseball. QUOTE (WBWSF @ Jul 18, 2017 -> 08:00 AM) 1) I read in todays Sun Times that the team is not expecting much in return for Frazier and Robertson after they're traded. You have to see how this plays out but I don't doubt that we will receive next to nothing for them. This only confirms to me that this isn't a rebuild. Its simply a salary dump by JR. I figure by Opening Day 2019 the team will have a payroll of somewhere around $30 million. Considering that the team grosses over $260 million every year, JR is looking at making more serious money. This team will be so bad by then I wouldn't be surprised to see the team have a Turn Back The Clock day with the players dressed in the uniforms of the St. Louis Browns.Hopefully sometime around 2019 this team will have new ownership in place to turn around this train wreck of a franchise. 2) I've always been a fan of Hawk Harrelson as a announcer. I wish this was his last season. It's time for him to go. One of his constant remarks the last 2 seasons is that JR is not going to let the Cubs take over the city. After this Quintana trade I wonder if he's going to use that same comment. This is just garbage.

QUOTE (Sockin @ Jul 18, 2017 -> 11:29 AM) I think with the track record not being there, most teams would be reluctant. Packaging Robertson with him gives you assurance I feel like and teams might be more willing to part with something. That would be my guess but like I said because he's such a different case, I'm really not sure where his value is.
-
Can Kahnle get a top 100 prospect? I'm really not sure of that. He's such an interesting case that I'm still not sure what exactly his value is. Obviously, if you're not getting a great offer for him then you hold onto him but I'll be interested to see what happens there.
-
I'll go with the Sale deal. For my money we got the best hitting and best pitching prospect in baseball in that one, not to mention 2 other players that at least have some upside to be Major League players. Obviously you're trading a guy who is one of the 2 best pitchers in baseball so you better be getting a haul but the upside of that deal has the chance to be enormous.

QUOTE (scs787 @ Jul 17, 2017 -> 10:19 PM) Kinda lame but super intriguing to me. Jason Jordan could be a star if pushed right....... At some point I wanna see it lead to AA splitting and feuding. I agree. The story is lame but Jordan working with Angle could be great. Gable is going to be a star by himself too. And AA is a split now and being on separate brands we wont get a feud for a while. -
QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 17, 2017 -> 09:30 PM) Even though I didn't think we had any chance...i was still all amped up Definitely.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 17, 2017 -> 09:27 PM) Rosenthal saying it was a base running mistake. FFS. What a f***in troll job by that manager ha.
