From what I have been hearing in AZ from the door to door campaining that a lot of people would vote Democratic if the candidate is more moderate. And yesterday it looks as if several moderate democrats won elections over a Republican incumbent. So I guess what I am trying to say is that in 2008 we should be looking more mainstream with our candidate for President.

Harry Mitchell pulls the upset over 6 term incumbent J.D. Hayworth. Our polls down here showed the race tighten (from 20 points in Sept) but no idea that Mitchell would win and by as big of margin. From McCain's victory speech w/Kyl it sure sounds like McCain will be running for President in 2008.

I am helping with the Pinal County Democratic Party. Helping Jim Peterson campaign it looks like Kyl will win along with the Republicans keeping 2 out of the 3 house seats in play here. A lot depends on the gay marriage amendment how that will effect turnout. Right now polls have the prop winning by 2-3 points.

BACK TO BACK for Smoke to bad it is too late for the championship still it is great to see Smoke back in victory lane.

Here in AZ Prop 107 looks like it will fail. It if I am not mistaken would be the first to do so in a long time.

Kyl's lead down to 3.8 according to a U of A poll. Peterson also had rallies with Clinton in both Mesa, Tucson last night as well. The RNC has kind of pushed there money elsewhere in other tough races but they might have to come back with and bail out Kyl whose campaign has been terribly ran.

If anybody needs any kind of information while here in Zona I will be glad to help. I live in Maracopa so I am close to both PHX and Tucson.

It looks like I will this year I was going to go with Renzi in AZ-01 but now he is under investigation by the justice department he doesn't show up for debates and refuses to return phone calls. Renzi will still win because the DNC hasn't put money into this race mainly because this Justice department investigation came out to late and the fact that there are so many other competitive races and maybe the DNC will make a last second charge out here even though it seems unlikely.

The 5th firefighter injured during the CA wildfire died. It was amazing he was able to stay alive this long with 90% of body covered in Burns. That makes whom ever did this guilty of 5 counts of murder as well. Link Posted in the wrong forum should be just SLM not in the buster.

If these polling numbers are correct it would appear this story would hurt Allen. If that is the case the voters must have viewed this as desperation on Allen's part

I wouldn't be surprised if Kyl loses this race in Arizona. His campaign has been one ad about Illegal immigration and a comment that Peterson said back in April (about the 1986 legislation being the last thing positive step taken against illegal immigration). Kyl turned that statement into Peterson supporting illegals and the ad which has 8 sheriff's saying Peterson support illegals. Now come to find out the Kyl campaign lied to several sheriffs to get them on TV and one of the others was Kyl's personal friends and was planning to support him anyways so the ad is complete fabrication and has been pulled from the networks leaving Kyl with no TV ad's except an add by John McCain paid for by McCain. Another advantage possibly is the fact that the DNC doesn't even have to put one cent into Peterson's campaign because Peterson is spending his own money so far $10M (Peterson is in real estate and is his company Westcor has malls all over). Something that might save Kyl is McCain's endorsement which he just received but needless to say Kyl campaign staff done a very sloppy job this election year and considering Kyl was ranked in the top 10 senators and endorsed by McCain this election should not have been close.

I am still undecided whether I will vote for Renzi (AZ-1) or not. I hate the fact Renzi seems to be so corrupt but Ellen Simon is just not getting her name out I really don't know what she stands for so it is still a tossup for me. I definitely voting for Jim Peterson over Jon Kyl because he seems to be a cheerleader for Bush voting with him 98.7% of time that is just to much. As I heard someone say a couple weeks ago (a quote from the movie "The Man"). "Kyl is one of Bush's bitc*** Bush pulls the strings and Kyl dances"

Obama went to the Arizona Biltmore and to Tempe to promote his book and to help the Democratic candidates here in Arizona. Had good crowds and Obama really impressed me might be a good choice for the 2008 nomination he really energized the crowd at Tempe.

I will be voting early. Napolitano over Munsil Peterson over Kyl Simon over Renzi Then I still have to decide on 16 propositions on the ballot One that I will vote for is the Smoking ban which outlaws smoking in all public places expect Bars.

Really criticizes the war and President Bush could mean bad news to Republicans who are fighting to keep there jobs here in Arizona. Edit: I for some reason called Pat Tillman as Keith Tillman if a mod would change that for me would be I would be grateful Tillman comes out against war

I agree with this decision our state has been overran with illegals and if you don't have a license/ID including school ID's If you don't have that any 2 forms of non photo (CC/SS Card/Voter Reg card) that will also work. All polling places will have what is acceptable ID and what isn't posted on all locations so I don't have any problems with this.

Been to a few Fall League games this year and Arizona and Chi Sox's are same team (Scottsdale) So I have seen a little of some of the Sox's prospects. Owens has been left out it seems because AZ's Mark Reynolds is hitting the cover off the ball so it is hard to take him out of the lineup. Adam Russell has had it rough out here and If I remember right Whisler been doing good. Gonzalez committed two very critical errors the other day allowing 6 unearned runs to score both on routine plays.

Green replaced his offensive coordinator with the QB's coach. Play calling got way to conservative last night and I don't think Green had any choice but to make this move.
