Wow that was some game first MNF game I have ever been to was most likely the strangest game I have seen. Lienart threw for 250 and two scores the defense gets 6 turnovers only allows 3 points loses the game 24-23. The Atmosphere was tremendous until the last 48 seconds and Denny Green's chances of holding his job are most likely gone. It will interesting to hear the sport talk shows tomorrow morning. Bears are now 6-0!

QUOTE(Brian @ Oct 13, 2006 -> 07:32 AM) My parents own a house in Casa Grande. Yowzas! Where at? Our company does a lot of business from Phoenix/Tucson and I almost always stop in Casa Grande for lunch. My mom and aunt live there as well so I am in Casa Grande alot.

Pipe Bomb found on I-10 I was caught up in the traffic mess coming back from Tucson and I ended up taking some back roads to get around it but what a headache. DPS are still investigating and have Exit 200 which is Sunland Gin Road closed The I-8 ramp has been reopened (bomb was located close to the on ramp). It was ironic that it was at the exact midway point between Phoenix and Tucson.

QUOTE(Soxfest @ Oct 11, 2006 -> 07:23 AM) As Coach Ditka said "losers and cowards live in the past my friend" Zona is going Down! If they don't get the offensive ends to start protecting Leinart it will be a cake walk for the BEARS! I am looking forward to it.

QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ Oct 10, 2006 -> 09:24 PM) Where is the new stadium? I used to live in Tempe about a mile from Sun Devil Stadium. It is in Glendale off the 101. I take 10 West to the 101 then exit 9 which is Glendale Avenue. It is right next to the Coyotes arena as well.

We in class have been studying another case that it looks like the Boulder DA has messed up. The Baby Jayson case also appears to have been a very sloppy job as well. Jayson died March 4th after suffering "blunt-force craniocerebral injuries." Jayson also had 22 broken bones all before he could reach the age of 11 weeks. The case has been ruled a homicide back in July with every brain expert under the sun saying it was murder and the parents as soon as they arrived at the hospital they called there lawyers and as soon as police officer came to talk with them the brother made sure he could not talk with the family and started a confrontation. 7 months later the parents still have refused to talk and have gone into hiding. So why after 7 months is there no arrests or even any suspects yet? I think Boulder will be looking for a new DA.

Thing is I only live 30 miles from the stadium but Traffic doens't flow well through there yet so I will only drive the mile and half. Once all the streets around the stadium are finished that will lead to more access to the 101 and to the I-10

Finally snagged a ticket for the MNF game on Monday here in Glendale. I will have to leave right from work at 4:00 though because of rush hour Phoenix Traffic and game day traffic on the 101. Then I will stay at my Aunt's house which is only 1 1/2 miles away in fact I can see the stadium from her house. As you can tell I am pumped

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Oct 6, 2006 -> 09:55 AM) So, that link you gave me, showed that in a month, Braley's 54-41 lead flipflopped to a Whalen 47-34 lead. Both may be outliers, but I'm pretty damn sure something big would have to happen to bring on a 20 point drop. I read that the Braley camp has distanced themselves from this poll, as expected, while the Whalen camp is now pushing it, as expected. It's a prime seat to switch from red to blue, so it's a pretty big deal. I already voted.....but something weird is going on in NE Iowa. Iowans don't change their minds that violently that quickly. It would have had to be something huge for Iowans to change there minds. Last time I can remember anything like this was '98 when Lightfoot was running against Vilsack and Lightfoot lost a 15 point lead because of the ad's he was running. Iowan's don't change their minds that quickly for no reason and this is also a blue district and Bush never received higher than 46% either time so I highly doubt Braley will do any better

QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Oct 4, 2006 -> 09:34 AM) That was better than the inital report I saw of either serious or critical. Yeah it was serious I wasn't sure but no updates is usually a bad thing. I can't wait for Phoenix race coming up I got my tickets this morning.

QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Oct 4, 2006 -> 07:59 AM) I read about that, but haven't heard an update. Has there been an upgrade in her condition? I haven't seen any other than she is in fair condition.

Prayers are needed for the officer seriously wounded while trying to stop a robbery at the speedway on Sunday night. The 2 suspects were arrested and charged with attempted capital murder. I was always concerned about security after a race ended seemed liked all the times I went to Dega that security was very lax after the race. It almost seemed like they were relieved that they made it threw the race weekend but security was always lax after the race ended.

Terrell Owens Attempts Suicide

QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 27, 2006 -> 10:33 PM) Here's the one question that I would love to have answered: were there 35 pills still remaining in the drawer, like what TO said? That and what the Tox report has to say will clear up a lot of questions. -
Terrell Owens Attempts Suicide
BHAMBARONS replied to Steve9347's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
My best guess is that he had a reaction or whatever, the publicist came over panicked and when the police arrived she most likely mentioned the word suicide at one point or another. Of course it goes into the police report and on from there. So in other words it was a mix of both sides. I doubt the police lied on a report and I don't think it was a suicide attempt. -

QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Sep 27, 2006 -> 09:55 AM) So you can like get arrested for attempted murder on yourself? If that's the case then youshould to take precautions to get the job done right! Yep, The first time I heard that I did a double take. You can actually get arrested for trying to kill yourself but then it was explained to me that it was used to get the victim help not to throw them in the slammer. -

QUOTE(daa84 @ Sep 27, 2006 -> 08:54 AM) the intent, i believe, is to legally force the patient to get psychiatric help, as opposed to actually prosecute him criminally You’re right on. Here in Zona there are only 3 ways to officially die. 1. Nat Causes, 2. Accident, 3 Homicide. The code of Arizona considers suicide as a self inflicted homicide which means if you attempt it you can be brought up on charges but the state uses it to make sure the victim gets help rather than throw them into jail. -
QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Sep 24, 2006 -> 09:05 PM) I wouldn't mind Gonzalez as a 4th outfielder but I wouldn't want him starting here. Please no. That is why Gonzo is leaving here he won't be the everyday LF and he doens't like it so he decided to throw mud at management and leave.

Way to go Jeff Burton It is good to see you in Cup series victory lane again.

QUOTE(MSHAWKS @ Sep 23, 2006 -> 06:41 PM) Yeah, its not like Luis Gonzalez has ever had a 9th-inning hit to win a game 7 of the World Series, or anything like that. That was 5 years ago. And since 2003 he is hitting .241 with RISP and the number keeps going down every year.

QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Sep 23, 2006 -> 01:19 PM) Maybe we can talk Matt Williams out of retirement while we are at it? And take Bob Melvin as well. QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ Sep 23, 2006 -> 03:21 PM) let's see, we've had Sandy Alomar, Jim Thome, Robbie Alomar, Albert Belle, Kenny Lofton and others. Surely there is some really old former Indian who needs cash and would be willing to play left field for us next year. If we're going to get somebody from Arizona, how about .... CHRIS YOUNG??????????? Nope he is ours at least till 2009. Of course he might play in 30 games next year because Melvin will find another washed up has been to play CF. QUOTE(MSHAWKS @ Sep 23, 2006 -> 05:17 PM) This is how I feel. Luis would be better than Pods or Sweeney, but not the best we could do. He is still a pretty good ML hitter. Also, a one year contract, tops. Would have to make sure somebody good was left on the bench for those 2 runners in scoring postion and 2 out situations becuase you can bring it to the bank that Gonzo won't get that hit.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 22, 2006 -> 09:56 PM) Kenny, you got some work to do. Way more than I thought you were going to have to do. -New Blood in the rotation. Its becoming clear Freddy and Count need to be shopped, hard this winter. Josh Byrnes here in zona was talking about wanting to get a pitcher via trade and mentioned that he had a great relationship with KW.

Prime reasons why the 2006 White Sox failed to repeat

I will put it into 2 words Corpse Ball. It is hard to win when relying on the home run for your offense.
