Two Carolina Cheerleaders Arrested

LOL, clicking on their photos on the team picture brings up blank pages (while all the other ones work) -
This has to do with some type of experiment doesn't it?

Advice on going to Hawks game?
3 BeWareTheNewSox 5 replied to FlaCWS's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Don't buy your tickets until you get there, scalpers are probably letting these go for dirt cheap (well they have already this year, according to my friends), and if that doesn't look legit, just get em at the UC, since there won't be a shortage problem -
Sox will NOT appear on Tonight Show
3 BeWareTheNewSox 5 replied to LosMediasBlancas's topic in Pale Hose Talk
According to WSI both shows are not having the Sox on anymore, bastards -
QUOTE(Harry&JimmyRocked @ Oct 29, 2005 -> 11:46 PM) that WAS dick allen passing out flyers Now it makes sense, he did tell me that if horses didn't eat it, he wouldn't parade on it. Seriously though? Though I wasn't even alive when he played, I know what he looked like and try to keep up on Sox history. I don't remember what this guy looked like, the moment I got at the parade is when the everything really sank in for me, so if it was him then I didn't put 2 and 2 together. I know he was a good player, but this was the day of the 2005 White Sox

We want Norm McDonald! And Pods!

I watched a couple weeks ago for the first time in like 5 years, horrible. I watched for HD, and it looked good, but that couldn't even keep me tuned in, it was soooo bad. Tonight's show, as bad as it looks, looks good in comparison to past weeks. I don't know if we were spoiled by the talent from yesteryear or it just plain out sucks (probably both). Come on Pods, make your appearance so I can turn this crap off! (I'd also guess it has to do with Weekend Update?)

Rumor: AL Playoff OF tests positive for steroids

QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Oct 29, 2005 -> 12:54 AM) Maybe you guys should choose a wait and see method towards this rather than disparage players who have, as far as we know, never done anything whatsoever in terms of cheating. This is not a healthy culture at all They have their fellow players to blame, it now comes with the terriotory. This may be a bad analogy, but I find it similar to airport security checks. Because of other dumbasses, some people have to be accused and wait time for everyone else is now increased. -
The guy yelling "Dick Allen emancipated the White Sox! We wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for him..." and then he kept comparing him to Christopher Columbus. Even the black people around me rolled their eyes, just enjoy the parade rather than trying to grab attention

Rumor: AL Playoff OF tests positive for steroids
3 BeWareTheNewSox 5 replied to DonkeyKongerko's topic in The Diamond Club
The update also stold my thunder. I was thinking Finley. Someone brought up his workout regimen and his numbers being down are due to injuries. This makes him look worse, in my opinion. You don't take steroids and automatically hit more home runs or last through a whole season. The steroids would help you work out more without getting tired and give quick recovery to injury (Also, don't they basically break you down after a while?), which in turn is what rubs off on improved play, durability, and numbers. Also, I've been weary of certain players with "injuries" *cough*NL West*cough* and using that as an excuse to "clean up", similar how some players suddenly decide they want to give Japan a try for a year. The thought of Aaron scared me, but if it was a Sox player, why wouldn't they just narrow it down to the WS Champs rather than a AL Playoff team? No, it's not the best logic, but I'm using it because I don't want our moment to be ruined. -
I think it depends on the organization. I remember hearing that with the Red Sox, anyone in any way associated with the team got one. They even said hot dog vendors, but I don't know if that was an exaggeration. Did they really sell them to the fans? LOL what were the prices around? I know they had some raffle where tickets, that went to charity, were like $10 each, and like 3 or 4 people got the real rings

QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Oct 27, 2005 -> 06:31 PM) Speaking of Griffey I bet he's kicking himself for that move now... Then again he saved us the trouble of having to put him on the DL next year... http://www.thebrushback.com/Archives/griffey2_full.htm

Houston @ Sox - World Series Game 1
3 BeWareTheNewSox 5 replied to Heads22's topic in 2005 Season in Review
CLTV claims first pitch at 7:19, I've also heard 7:25, so I'd expect sometime between there. Makes sense, long ass FOX pregame, pregame festivities (celebrity stuff), intorodcution on the lines of both teams (though I don't mind hearing Gene Honda), and the dumb McCarver/Buck intros and keys to the game, with like 5 breaks in between. That is going to absolutely kill me, a week was bad enough, and now they'll tease me LETTTS GETTT IT STARRRRRRRTTEEEEEDDDD -
and he hates Phil Garner

White Sox Movies and Slide Shows
3 BeWareTheNewSox 5 replied to kapkomet's topic in 2005 Season in Review
I gave a try at a slide show (my first time making any/using Windows Movie Maker), and it got good feedback on WSI so I'll post it here. It's short, and it's still images since I don't know how to capture/use video clips. I tried to sync up some of the audio with the images (yes, the middle of part of the music skips/repeats itself for emphasis), and I know, I'm an amateur, there's some things I thought about adding/changing afterwords but whatever, it's my first try, take it easy on me http://s50.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0LQVLS4...H80OICP5QNOHEYH -
Fan Deck is off limits as well, though people on Ebay are selling "Fan Deck" tickets with food and drink included, so I'm guessing someone rented it

Sox haven't stopped 'Believin''

Haha, I remember getting the urge to download it after seeing it on Family Guy, because I thought that skit was funny. Then I've been playing it periodically since then, and like it in a funny kind of way, funny to hear it's their little inside joke -
Houston @ Sox - World Series Game 1
3 BeWareTheNewSox 5 replied to Heads22's topic in 2005 Season in Review
Weather.com weather report (as of today) and their weather tidbits, though I don't get the chart as both teams obviously won more games than that total. -
Who cares, we broke the barrier first, Sox fans always have to reference the Cubs, even in their pennant celebrations. They won't get there anyways
-
Hmm, there's something more to him not being there...wonder what it is? Maybe Jerry wants him to stay out because of the media wars and the attention on that? Or is he leaving or something? His excuse for the other rounds was that he'd be here for the World Series, and now... QUOTE(JoshPR @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 10:49 PM) I think I read once that Farmio and Hawk did NOT stand each other and farmer would put newspaper on the booths glass window next to the TV booth just not to look at Hawk. Very old news, they did a ST game this year
-
Hawk is at home in Florida, he's been on sports radio interviews, I think he said before it began that he'd be at the park for the WS. DJ doesn't like/doesn't talk to the media so I don't know
