  1. I'm guessing if it would come out it'd be around 5 or 6? The Raffy one was at 11 but so was the Oriole game. The first one was Sanchez which came around 5ish I believe
  2. I think he makes some good points, especially about this recent stretch. Although I want Griffey and don't agree with the "Where would he play?", that is a lot of money to pay for an injury prone player who would be at the mercy at Ozzie's Timolovin lineups, would we even be able to resign anyone after next year? And no chance Cincy would eat the money. Just go for Mike Lowell or something
  3. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 18, 2005 -> 10:13 PM) OMG, the Astros have a promotion tomorrow at Minute Maid: Tell me that is not f***ing hillarious if this does go down tomorrow. This morning Roger Clemens was suspended for use of a banned substance, come down to Minute Maid Park be one of the first 10,000 adults and get your very own Roger Clemens T-shirt. Haha, seems fitting that it happens at the "Juicebox"
  4. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 18, 2005 -> 09:41 PM) You read all 27 pages of the Yankee one? No way, too many NY fan idiots accusing everyone they thought possible, but the thread started with the info coming from the NY ESPNRADIO show. I see the Cincy one now shows Soxtalk, but the thread starters had their own references
  5. I thought it was just Ortiz? You'd be retarded to turn down Jones AND Ortiz
  6. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Aug 18, 2005 -> 07:41 PM) Both websites eluding to these steroid discussions (Cincinnati/NYY fan sites) have referenced Soxtalk. One of the Cincinnati posters even mentioned our website breaking a steroid positive two days before it was known publically. Now we didn't exactly break this news--New York website had a thread started on August 11, but I find it interesting people have trusted our website's sources. I linked to both those sites and didn't see Soxtalk.com referenced. The NYY one credited a Michael Kay ESPN Radio show in NY, and the Reds one came from a guy who claimed to work in the office of a Major League Organization
  7. According to a post at WSI: Garland, Pods, Buerhle, and Garcia also cleared and are eligible for trade Marte and Politte were claimed but pulled back so they can't be dealt
  8. I know, those manicures must be killer. I keed I keed, I love soccer. Only play for fun though, go Serie A!
  9. To quote the man himself (with changing a word around) "Yeah, but he says some really stupid things sometimes". He has the power numbers, but the average is iffy, we've seen him go into a slumps regularly where he is always outthinking himself, and though the numbers are there and he can be clutch at times ( I won't forget the 2 HRs in the big comeback vs the Cubs after getting hit in the head by Wood), 10+ mill still seems like a lot for me to give to him (realistically would probably be more), especially if it would keep you from paying an important SP (Garland?) or Frank. He's preaty damn slow as well, and we know we will probably try to get rid of as many slow people as possible, but I'd rather have Frank out of personal bias.
  10. It's obvious it's widespread in all of society, and his use was already known about (as well as with it being found in the car which was already mentioned), but what is the point in saying this? We good could it do, street cred?
  11. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 18, 2005 -> 05:26 PM) If anyone should resign it should be Fehr. Selig will manage his way through this...he can always just keep saying he wanted to do more but the Union wouldn't let him. He has a stronger proposal on the table right now. Good point, if this turns out to be true, I think I might trust Selig a little more, because if these guys are suspended, then I know that he won't withold testing results about anyone just to make him and the game look good
  12. Teinowitz giving more hints, 'one in the AL and one in the NL, both in the AllStar Game this year'. Jurko saying that he'd guess the Cubs would love one of these guys as a FA next year, implying Damon. Mac also asked something implying Damon. Now he's saying that one guy is a pitcher and the other isn't. Also that one of the guys has been on their show (so they're basically backing up Damon and Clemens) That Neyer quote is also very interesting. Tomorow should be very interesting! MLB will probably take a big hit from this, anyone think Selig would resign?
  13. Looks like Chicago is not the only media outlet with this speculation http://forums.nyyfans.com/showthread.php?t=87565 EDIT: And this guy works in a major league organization (well, he claims) http://www.redszone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39353
  14. I recently switched to Comcast, but when I had DirecTV, these games were on, and usually on 639, or search your guide for it, should be somewhere between 630-650, its one of the Alternate or RSN channels
  15. That guy is a Sox fan. His description of the Cell sounds like he hasn't been there in about 8 years, if at all, it sounds like he took the generalized misconception and ran with it
  16. Hmm, also heard Harry today, either Teinowitz reads this board or s*** is about to go down, I cant wait til Friday!
  17. How could the astronaught not bang Genie/Jeanie, or at least make it a wish? I also liked Kelly from Saved from the Bell, maybe not embarrasing. Also agree on the Pink Ranger, especially when she was in the suit. Oh, and April from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
  18. QUOTE(the People's Champ @ Aug 15, 2005 -> 05:19 PM) well whereas nobody else might care......I do care. I think it would be a big deal if the Sox could lead the league "wire to wire". Does it mean anything? No especially if they dont win it all. But if they do happen to win it all it would be a nice exclamation point in my eyes. I believe LA oneupped stuff when we had a Shingo collapse loss and they were undefeated, so yeah, there goes your big deal
  19. Who cares? Home field is ours anyways, and we are the better team, they play in a weak ass league. I don't like your way of thinking :fthecubs
  20. We know Bruce Levine is an idiot, but he's saying that expect to see Anderson on the bench a lot, and if he does play, he wouldn't be near the top of the order
  21. STFU Bruce Levine, he is STILL trying to drag this out and talking about it now, saying this makes his job harder??? Are you kidding me? What a homosexual
  22. I heard Sep 5 at 1 pm, but now they say they don't know. I wish they would wait til the end of the year and only play it if it's needed in the standings. Sep 5th is between 2 home games, so I doubt Ozzie would send any starters
  23. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Aug 15, 2005 -> 03:58 PM) In other news... Pods will now be referred to as the Big Hurt Uribe will be referred to as El Caballo Aaron Rowand will be reffered to as 33-Dog If it's good enough for Frank it's good enough for me. Willie sucks too much, he doesn't deserve it, the real one is in the bigs
  24. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Aug 15, 2005 -> 03:43 PM) Hollywood = Willie Harris Not anymore
  25. Yep, Pods on the 15 day DL, Hollywood is up Won't see him tonight though, Timo is leading off and playing left
