  1. QUOTE(T R U @ May 13, 2005 -> 01:01 PM) I had a PS2 for about 2 1/2 years and the day I got my XBox is could tell a huge difference.. The graphics are smoother and the loading time is way faster.. The biggest difference that I could see in this case was in NCAA 2005.. When you simulated in dynasty mode it would take forever but with XBox the weeks go by so fast, the recruiting goes by so fast.. When you save a game on XBOX it takes like 5 seconds as opposed to the like 20 it takes PS2 which doesnt seem like much but when im in a hurry to go somewhere and im trying to save its faster I had a PS2 I got for free, but took it to Gamespot for store credit. Xbox - Better graphics, no memory cards needed, faster loading times, better games (see Halo and Halo2)...just better. Any good game for PS2 you can get for the X.

    I Love

Welcome both of you to Soxtalk... I love the enthusiasm...as I myself am full of it. Go Sox in '05. Keep it up.
  3. QUOTE(whitesoxfan13 @ May 13, 2005 -> 11:07 AM) Yeah, but that's because PS2 was already a year old when the Xbox was released. Now it's vice versa with the new consoles. For now, I'll stick with uber-nerd Bill Gates. Plus, Halo 2 blows away any exclusive games from Piece of s*** 2.
  4. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ May 12, 2005 -> 10:27 PM) Screw Wrigley. Why are you feeding their cash cow??? Go to the game at US Cellular Field. Let the stupid Cub fans give us more money. Don't have it the other way around. Exactly....I don't go to the Urinal for any game....see the Cubs/Sox at the Cell...or how about go see them this weekend, play and beat a good team, the Orioles. If anyone goes to a Cubs/Sox game at Wrigley, before seeing the Sox at the CEll, you are a piece of s***.
  5. QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ May 13, 2005 -> 01:37 AM) PS3 definitely looks like it is going to destroy this version of the Xbox. I saw some video of this PS3 game called Dark Sector that looked ridiculously sweet. Just what I need, an excuse to drop hundreds of dollars on a new system. Oh well, at least I have some time. I'll believe it when I see it. PS2 is way inferior to the X...I would expect the trend to continue.

  7. QUOTE(fathom @ May 11, 2005 -> 03:08 PM) Timo has been up 3 times this season in which he simply needed to make contact, and he has failed each time. He's a piece of s***. I'm sick of this guy...he should never play...what about Brian Anderson? Or do we want him to play everyday in the minors? Timo batting leadoff? What gives Ozzie?
  8. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 11, 2005 -> 12:27 PM) Yeah, tell us Tony, was it difficult growing up with the name Ho? Ahh, Ho is short for my last name....I wish it was Ho though.
  9. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ May 11, 2005 -> 02:10 PM) The last time I went (Saturday mariners' game) there were people tailgating in the lot tony was mentioning. Not saying it was "legal" but there were people tailgating. Exactly...people tailgate there...mostly just drinking and bags, but I have seen people cooking out.
  10. QUOTE(mreye @ May 11, 2005 -> 11:59 AM) I don't think you can tailgate in that lot, though. You can...
  11. I live in STickney (near Midway, Berwyn, Cicero, Lyons,Riverside) and I was born on July 4th, 1976 (28), hence the tonyho7476. I grew up in Hillside Il, and went to st. Domitilla in Hillside for gradeschool, Nazareth Academy in LaGrange Park for High School, and Marquette University for college. What else you want to know? My credit card info?
  12. You need to get there an hour and a half before the game starts....the lot is G I think...its just west of the train tracks on 35th street....a lot of the employees park there... I do this every time I go...$8...except on certain days, like when the Cubs are in town.
  13. QUOTE(JDsDirtySox @ May 10, 2005 -> 12:19 PM) At this point I don't want to trade Brian Anderson. I really like his game, and think he could be an above average player. I also think Wagner is nearing the end of his career, and is very likely to breakdown. I'm with you on this one.
  14. QUOTE(Steff @ May 10, 2005 -> 09:52 AM) :sleep :sleep Agreed....I miss Hawk big time...Also, DJ is annoying as the PBP guy.
  15. Garland, Buerhle and Hermanson should make it. Probably nothing but pitchers. Konerko has a chance if he gets his average up.
  16. QUOTE(retro1983hat @ May 10, 2005 -> 08:18 AM) His baby's mother??? Was he married? Or did he go Shawn Kemp on her? When he heard it happened, he was willing to play the day's game...so I'm guessing not married!
  17. Ok, lets come out looking alive today. Lets start a new streak and go for double-digits. I want a 10 game steak.
  18. QUOTE(Al Lopez's Ghost @ May 10, 2005 -> 06:27 AM) I'm betting he plays. Remember, this is his city. You can't stop him, he is a gladiator!
  19. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ May 9, 2005 -> 04:15 PM) There is a poll option missing & it's the right one: Keep him & manage AB's between Rowand, Koney, Dye, Everett, & Frank. Especially given that Rowand, Dye, & Koney are hitting well below career avg's. You can do that because you have Pods. You can play Everett, Pods, Dye with Frank at DH You can play Pods, Rowand, Everett with Frank at DH You can play Everett, Rowand, Dye with Frank at DH You can play Pods, Rowand, Dye with Frank at DH You can play Pods, Rowand, Dye with Frank at 1B (though I wouldn't) And when Frank does not start you have him ready to come off the bench to hit for any one of these guys including Koney. Yeah, ultimately something like this would work best.
  20. QUOTE(rangercal @ May 9, 2005 -> 04:10 PM) That means frank would play every 4 days. I don't like it. Well, I don't like having Carl in the field or Frank...so both are DHs period. I don't think there is a perfect answer. Maybe Carl just needs to move around a little...play left....play first...DH...and get in 3-4 games a week, moving around....being a super sub type....who can't field
  21. I say other....use him and Carl at DH...Frank vs. Lefties...Carl vs. Righties...

  25. There is no doubt that Lee is an asset to the Sox and MLB. He is so much fun to watch down in the bullpen area before and during the games. He is one of the reasons I love sitting behind the dugout. He interacts with everyone. Love the Mansooo!
