  1. QUOTE (spiffalicious @ Jul 24, 2008 -> 12:32 PM) I will be at the games on Saturday & Sunday. I'll wear my lucky Quentin jersey, so that should help them win The important thing will be that Quentin is wearing his jersey. What are the pitching matchups this weekend?
  2. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jul 23, 2008 -> 02:28 PM) Konerko is going to end up being a hero today. What drugs are you doing today? I'm in Lombard...I'll stop by. Don't do them all.
  3. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jul 23, 2008 -> 02:01 PM) No. My guess is 30K+. You're s***ting me!?!
  4. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jul 23, 2008 -> 02:01 PM) No. My guess is 30K+. Your s***ting me!?!
  5. The crowd sounds very lethargic over the radio...is the place empty today?
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 23, 2008 -> 09:03 AM) I believe the Sox are clinched to have spent the most days in first place in the AL Central for this season, which is 92 so far. That doesn't really do a lot for me...unless one of those days is the last day of the season.
  7. QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 23, 2008 -> 11:27 AM) how about the vendor that was a dead on for scottie pippen. Yeah, and does not like being called Scottie Pippen. How about the young guy who yells at the top of his lungs, 'I got Friggin hot dogs over here'.
  8. I'm just hoping that he is like 10 years old.
  9. QUOTE (rangercal @ Jul 19, 2008 -> 12:10 AM) love the pencil trick... That pencil trick was great. I went late last night...and all shows were sold out. LEaving the theatre at 10:15, the hallways was packed with people waiting for the next show.
  10. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 21, 2008 -> 06:14 AM) Yes, and if you ask him, he'll give you his business card. I have not seen him much this year, maybe he is working a different area. He is the guy who also says 'I GGOOOTTT BEERRRR' in that raspy voice of his. I also like the singing beer guy, who I see several times a game in Section 113.
  11. Then what happens to Konerko? Bench? Swish would go to 1st. I just don't see us getting anything this big.
  12. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jul 17, 2008 -> 08:56 AM) I too wish he would devote those 13 seconds it takes to read a box score to something more important! Based on how things are going...he needs every second possible.
  13. QUOTE (GOD @ Jul 17, 2008 -> 01:19 PM) Thanks for all the help it turns out I actually will have a car, but I may use that Pace bus thing anyways. And yes GOD is one of you and he has been a stranger on the bus many times. Ironically I am watching VH1's Greatest Songs of the 90s and they just talked about that song. That's too bad...I was hoping to drive you and your cute cousin to the game.
  14. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 17, 2008 -> 11:45 AM) Welcome to SoxTalk! I'll have to see if I can find a vid of that. Gotta see this...didn't see it on YOuboob
  15. Glad to know he cannot run a country for hamburgers, but is all over what Danks is doing. Great job Mr. Bush!
  16. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 14, 2008 -> 02:51 PM) My favorite was the Alexei/DWise/OC 2-out rally in the 10th against JoBo & the Indians... That was my favorite too...but at the game I attended, it happened in the 9th. Great night.
  17. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jul 15, 2008 -> 07:28 AM) He managed to top that with his "this is a bad night to be an atheist" comment imo. What the hell are they paying this guy so much money for? He is awful. Hamilton's performance was awesome. I was thinking about his situation when they were glorifying him and calling him a role model, though -- as a society, we seem to celebrate people who fall and pick themselves back up and reach great heights more than people who just perform from the get-go without the whole redemption storyline. Seems sort of odd to me. I was just glad to see Hamilton's Lord and Savior allowed him to hit all those 500 foot homeruns. Praise the Lord!
  18. QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 10, 2008 -> 12:44 PM) vs Twins 7-4 vs. Tigers 5-4 We have to play the Twins, at that garbage dome, at the end of the month. we play better at Tiger Stadium, so I want the Tigers to win 3 of 4, while we lose NONE!
  19. If you read Cowley's game summary today, he says how Cabrera dissappeared right after the game 'as usual'. So that stuff probably makes Joe mad. Who cares...we will keep winning. We want winners...and Cabrera is a winner. As Ozzie said: Nice guys finish last.
  20. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Jul 10, 2008 -> 08:09 AM) I'm glad Minnie's coming back to reality a bit. They weren't going to win 18-20 the rest of the season... And it was fun to see them get a nice a$$ whoopin' yesterday. Now, split the 4 with the Tigers and we win 4 more in a row...and I'll be feeling fine.
  21. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jul 9, 2008 -> 02:33 PM) Carrasco won't step on that mound unless we are getting killed or killing the opposition. Then I say starting tonight we KILL the opposition. KILL!
  22. I'm going Dotel, but hoping that we blow everyone out until the all-star break.
  23. QUOTE (Felix @ Jul 9, 2008 -> 10:25 AM) Yes. Who? Gallagher? 3rd starter at best.
  24. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 9, 2008 -> 10:12 AM) So we're really questioning Billy Beane in this thread? He's moved top of the rotation starters at the perfect time consistently (see Zito, Hudson, Mulder), he's gotten great value back (see Haren, Eveland), he's pulled legit Cy Young candidates out of his ass (Duchscherer), he's got a team that's 8 games over .500 after he continually is forced to deal his best players. Yeah, let's question that guy. Listen, I'm hoping that Harden takes a dump...but do you think the Cubs really traded anything good?
  25. QUOTE (letsgoarow @ Jul 9, 2008 -> 09:32 AM) Whats the diffrence between Juan Uribe and a bag of balls? Bag of balls has more balls, I guess.
