  1. QUOTE (shipps @ Jul 9, 2008 -> 09:40 AM) Seriously the bag of balls joke is extremely overused. Sorry, how about a year's supply of pine tar? And why are people seriously responding to this thread. The Cubs just sent garbage out west, for a potential cy young award winner, if healthy. Its a big IF, but he is excellent.
  2. QUOTE (SoxFan101 @ Jul 8, 2008 -> 10:01 PM) i still dont fully understand the ozuna being released, we have a 12 man bullpen and we are the least used bullpen in majors or close to it... also with jenks possibly going on DL just makes 0 sense Made perfect sense to me...Ozuna was easily the most expendable guy on this team. His glove is brutal and we don't need his speed, with Brian and Wise able to provide that off the bench. Brian not as much, but Wise is fast.
  3. Wait...just heard Billy Beane has taken over as GM at Cleveland and will give us Grady Sizemore for a bag of balls and Juan Uribe.
  4. QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 9, 2008 -> 08:36 AM) 4 of a kind? Please change date. Could of sworn I did. I didn't know Chris Berman posted here.
  5. How about a steaming pile of garbage, for Huston Street? I think we can 'get er done'. Unreal. Or we could trade our bat boy for newly acquired Gallagher.
  6. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 8, 2008 -> 02:36 PM) Completely agree. Trying to clean it up here. Ooo...pin my bean bag one.
  7. Just got this e-mail from the Sox: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Tuesday, July 8, 2008 WHITE SOX EXTEND SPECIAL AUTOGRAPHED JERSEY OFFER TO FANS WHO VOTE ON-LINE FOR JERMAINE DYE CHICAGO - In a special offer, fans who vote on-line for Jermaine Dye for the 2008 All-Star Final Vote from today through the end of the voting period on Thursday afternoon will automatically be entered to win an autographed jersey by the White Sox outfielder. A total of six winners will receive one Dye autographed jersey after the All-Star Final Vote. Official Sweepstakes rules can be found at Whitesox.com. As of Monday afternoon, Dye ranked second in the Monster All-Star Final Vote ballot, a mere percentage points behind Tampa Bay's Evan Longoria. San Francisco Giants outfielder Aaron Rowand was fourth in the National League vote, trailing Milwaukee's Corey Hart, New York's David Wright and Philadelphia's Pat Burrell. Fans may vote an unlimited number of times for Dye and Rowand by visiting whitesox.com or mlb.com and also via mobile phone by texting the word "VOTE" to the number 36197. A Final Vote ballot will then be sent to the mobile phone. Please note: fans who vote via text messaging are not eligible to win the signed jersey. Final Vote will close at 4 p.m. CT, Thursday July 10. It is the sixth time in seven years that a member of the White Sox has been part the Final Vote, with Scott Podsednik (2005) and A.J. Pierzynski (2006) winning the balloting. Joe Crede and Carlos Quentin were named to the AL All-Star Team on Sunday. The 79th All-Star Game will be played on Tuesday, July 15 at New York's Yankee Stadium.
  8. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 7, 2008 -> 09:05 PM) I have no idea. This is something you'd address based on how our guys are throwing at the beginning of October if we get there IMO. The only thing I'm sure of is I'd want Danks and Buehrle both in the 4 man, and broken up with a righty in between them. No doubt...right now I would go Buerhle, Floyd, Danks, and Contreras...put Javy in the bullpen.
  9. I thought these picture ones were pretty cool. Linky
  10. QUOTE (YASNY @ Jul 8, 2008 -> 01:05 PM) Now that is definition of taking one for the team. If the guy would have ducked, I would have taken that ball in the lower abdominal region. And it was hit hard and on a rope. The dude's nose was shreaded.
  11. QUOTE (ChiSox35 @ Jul 8, 2008 -> 12:55 PM) Sad to see him go, glad Uribe was held on to. I remember leaving a game early once only to have Pablo hit either a game tying or winning HR. I have a good story for that game...The batter before Pablo was AJ...and he lined a shot down the 1st base line, foul...hitting a guy in section 114 (I sit in 113) square in the nose...blood is gushing everywhere....chaos ensues...and then Pablo hits a home run, as people are attending to this guy. Game goes into the 10th, and the 10th is spent smelling bleach, as the attendants try and get all his blood up. And then we won. Yay! By the way, the girlfriend of the guy got the ball, after it bounced off his face.
  12. QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Jul 8, 2008 -> 12:26 PM) f*** Crede hardly sits...Uribe once and a while will not kill us.
  13. QUOTE (VenomSox @ Jul 8, 2008 -> 12:43 PM) Here is a set I made. Nice. There is something to be said about making them yourself.
  14. QUOTE (Reddy @ Jul 8, 2008 -> 11:40 AM) but it's PABLO! Well...stuff happens. I love Pablo too.
  15. This seems to make the most sense...he has a bad glove...and is hardly playing. As least Uribe can fill in at 3rd.
  16. For my birthday, the fiance got me a bags board set from this site...and they will customize...and turn it around fast. The image is painted on and the sets fit into each other. Anyway, I was very impressed with these guys. If you send them some images...they will work with you on a design. Check it out. Linky I got this one:
  17. Corey Feldman is one of the biggest morons I have ever seen on TV. He is just clueless. He thinks he knows everything, but he is idiotic.
  18. Thanks all...went to the game on the 3rd and 4th to celebrate my b-day...but thanks to Juan Uribe's presence in the lineup, we lost. Was not my fault.
  19. QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ May 6, 2008 -> 09:31 AM) Glad Waddle and Silvy think it's BS. So you'll be able to sleep better now? Are they like your prophets?
  20. I once had a threesome with 2 blow up dolls. The best part is they don't mind if you break for a bite to eat.
  21. I sold my tickets for tonight...I've never been known to be a 'slump buster'. I hope they get on a winning streak. Go Sox!
  22. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 6, 2008 -> 07:42 AM) Here's an idea. How about the locker room should be a locker room, and keep ALL the press out of it? They want interviews, they can do them in a green room outside the locker room. The locker room should be a sanctuary of sorts. I don't think press should be in there at all, except maybe for the once-a-year champagne popping when they win a pennant. Now we're talking.
  23. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 6, 2008 -> 07:40 AM) So women can't be sports reporters now? During DESIGNATED TIMES women of course should be allowed in because of their profession. If you want to stop that, that's discrimination. And I don't think I'm pushing it that perhaps a few male sports reporters might feel uncomfortable with it as well. I believe that women covering male sports is absurd and being in male locker rooms is absurd. I would like to go back to the days when women couldn't vote. And if anyone has a picture of Slezak taking it in the backside...please post.
  24. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 6, 2008 -> 07:32 AM) I think some people are taking this much lighter than it should be. This has already become national news on ESPN Radio. Whomever set up the blow up dolls with bats in their orifices knew that reporters and the like would see it. It's sexual harassment for any female reporter who was near the locker room. I don't care what anyone says, women are allowed in the locker room at designated times, and that's demeaning. It's childish, it's embarrassing as a Sox fan, it's not funny in my opinion. Why don't they grow the f*** up? What has the amazing double stuffed quad penetrated doll resulted in? 3 runs over 18 innings. Jerry Reinsdorf should be embarrassed as should anyone who ever wore a Sox jersey. With Ozzie's rant, and now this, it's unacceptable. That's just my $.02. this country is too politically correct...why are women in a male locker room? That doesn't seem appropriate to me.
  25. QUOTE (knightni @ May 5, 2008 -> 04:30 PM) Put one in the lineup, it probably knows the five hole. What kind of women are you dating? I've heard of 3 input women, but not 5 input.
