  1. QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Sep 26, 2006 -> 09:17 AM) I hope the Yankees win the AL. I think i would vomit if i have to see Nick Punto in the world series. Man do I hate Nick Punto...annoying little f***er.
  2. Unfortunately you won't be setting fire to anything. You'll lose to the A's, the Twins will lose to the Yanks, and the AL Central will be gone like that.
  3. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Sep 21, 2006 -> 10:13 AM) At home: Books and then a little internet and a little TV (either sports, one of the Discovery channels, History, Food and A&E mostly). I should have had books on the list. My mistake. The only book I've ever read is Sox and the City
  4. QUOTE(Iwritecode @ Sep 20, 2006 -> 02:40 PM) Don't tell that to the fanboys on the gaming sites. You'll start a war. Even though it's totally true... Seriously? The game is identical to GTA, just with different characters. Its unreal how hard they copied. Again, I'm enjoying it. Good games coming up...Splinter Cell, Rainbow 6, and the much anticipated Gears of War. This Gears of War is supposed to be unreal. It looks like a futuristic 3rd person shooter game, but it looks real intense. I think that comes out in November.
  5. QUOTE(AssHatSoxFan @ Sep 20, 2006 -> 01:29 PM) did you play dead rising on an HD TV, if not did you have trouble reading the dialogue because I heard there have been issues reading the text Its just hard to read on a small TV. So, the bigger the better. Either way, it wouldn't stop me from playing it...its a ton of fun.
  6. QUOTE(AssHatSoxFan @ Sep 20, 2006 -> 01:25 PM) at work: internet, at home: tv and soon my 360 Love the 360...currently playing Saints Row...a complete ripoff of Grand Theft Auto, but lots of fun. Dead Rising is great too. Was a little dissappointed with Madden. NCAA is good. For good online play, I liked Call To Duty 2. Plus a solid single player campaign.
  7. Since I have no interest in discussing these White Sox, I'm curious how people entertain themselves most. I have a bunch of options, and I'm sure I'm missing some. Personally, I spend about 8 hours a day with satellite radio at work, and way too much time on yee old XBOX. How about you?
  8. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Sep 20, 2006 -> 11:56 AM) Whatever Stern says is true? Come on, I do not think that much fraud would be committed in this case. She had alot of machines bostering her voice, she will never sing live, so thats why she was able to make an album. Calm down. I just told where I heard it from. And that they compared the music and the singing was very similary. not saying its true. It sounds so bad, I think it is her.
  9. QUOTE(Soxy @ Sep 19, 2006 -> 03:22 PM) Source? Come on people, you can't throw rumors out as fact without at least a couple of sources! They talked about this on Stern yesterday. The rumor is that its the lead singer of Shiny Toy Guns. Whoever that is. Stern was playing Paris' song and music from this band, and it was pretty similar. Where he heard the rumor, I don't know.
  10. What a talentless b****. Thank God this bombed.
  11. Do you have an ID? Or are you looking for a non-bar to watch the game? If so, you're probably screwed.
  12. It didn't take long for them to f*** that up. I didn't watch last night because I am just done...I have better things to do with my time. But of course I asked the girlfriend to check the score, and was I surprised to hear it was 4-0? No, I expected it. This team is just pathetic.
  13. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 12:01 PM) As some of you probably know, I'm a first-year freshman at Marquette this year. And, seeing as it's a Sunday morning, I have pretty much one thing on my mind right now -- football (oh, yeah, and our whole dorm's internet not working is another, too). Getting to the point; anybody know of any places within the city that would have the Sunday Ticket, so I could see the Bears game? I won't be able to watch Packer game after Packer game this year... Any help is appreciated. I went to Marquette....great school. Anyway, for sports, head down to Water Street....or that bar across the street from the Bradley Center.
  14. Busy trying to sell my last two games of the year. Don't need to witness this garbage in person, any longer. What a piece of s*** second half we have had. I look forward to watching the Bears, and hearing about the dead weight we get rid of in the off-season. And Ozzie will be the manager next year...he was the first guy to win a WS in this town in the last 88 years.
  15. QUOTE(Steff @ Sep 14, 2006 -> 07:46 AM) Tony, are you guys going to the Bob Levy show in Tinley Park next month? Richard and Sal are also going to be there. I want to...are tickets on sale? Ok, I just called Riddles Comedy Club...and they will start taking reservations in 2 weeks...and if you get to the show a half hour beforehand, you will be guaranteed seats. So tickets are not sold ahead of time. Here is their website...and I saw one of Bob's shows on Howard TV, and it was a riot. I thought he would be bad, but he was great. His show is mostly interaction with the audience. Riddles
  16. I am sick of Tommy Lee and his giant penis...I hope this project fails miserably...and it should.
  17. QUOTE(Steff @ Sep 11, 2006 -> 08:18 AM) Howard is replaying his show from that day right now... It's so surreal to hear their speculation and reaction to the events as they happened. There was also so much mis-information out there...and Howard kept mentioning all these reporst he was hearing...that were wrong. I didn't hear the show that day, so I wanted to hear it now. Especially with hands on accounts from people in and around the city. What a horrific day.
  18. I think Frank will surpass Jim...Jim has not been good this second half...and not clutch.
  19. QUOTE(Colorado Sox Fan @ Sep 8, 2006 -> 08:28 AM) GET Excited, dude. We're going to reclaim the wild card lead tonight! You know Freddy's pitching, right? Sorry, I'm a downer. Go Sox!
  20. Changes sound good. Trade Freddy and Buerhle to his f***ing Cardinals...move Brandon in the rotation and sign Zito...I'll take Count, Garland, Javy, McCarthy and Zito. I hate saying this, since Buerhle is one of my favorites.
  21. So we are down by 4 runs...trying to stop the Indians from scoring more...and we bring in Haeger? I don't understand that. I'm going to the game tonight...I've never been more excited in my life.
  22. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 7, 2006 -> 03:28 PM) You can have her. Sexy...her makeup looks like a black eye. I like that.
  23. God I hate her, but I'd love to foul her...I guess I can get in line
  24. QUOTE(Steff @ Sep 6, 2006 -> 04:17 PM) I completely agree. It's gonna be a fun trip to Hawaii in a couple weeks.. LOL> Just wear body armor when you go in the water...you'll be fine.
  25. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Sep 6, 2006 -> 01:48 PM) Meh. Stingrays are generally docile creatures. One of the most deadly poisons a spider can carry is housed in the body of a daddy long legs. Of course we have no problem messing with them. Apparently they are docile until a crazy australian croc hunter is swimming over them. News Flash: The ocean doesn't want us in it.
