  1. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 16, 2006 -> 08:54 AM) Wow, now THAT was a twist. They did a good job of setting it up too, so you were shocked, but not too surprised at the sametime... I wonder what Tony thinks of Assisted Living now? ITS NOT ASSISTED LIVING....ITS A NURSING HOME!
  2. No one can deny that he was a big reason we won the whole thing. Getting him and Gooch last year, as our last two moves, was phenomenal by Kenny. i can't wait for April 2nd.
  3. As lame as wrestling is, this is all great exposure for the team.
  4. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 14, 2006 -> 03:46 PM) So, I did a Google search...there's 1 page listed under Will Ferrel which does say he died a few hours ago in a paragliding accident, but the page that is hosting that report appears down/dead so I can't evaluate whether or not it's B.S. I guess it was on newswire.com...the story is now down or something. Maybe he had an accident, but didn't die. I hope not. he's too funny to die.
  5. I can't find anything on the web to verify. Heard this on Bubba the Love Sponge Show...I know, I know. Sounded legit. Supposedly he died in a para-gliding accident. The wind supposedly blew him off course and into the trees. If anyone sees a confirmation, please post. If so, RIP. Great comedic performer.
  6. You suck and so do the Sox! Welcome back to the board. Can't say I missed ya, because I didn't notice.
  7. QUOTE(GASHWOUND @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 10:51 PM) Didn't they show Tony handing bread to Julianne Margulies's character in that little thing they did to open the show? He was handing her his sausage...yeah, he'll be bada bing, bada bangin' her this year.

    Gay Games

The closing ceremonies are...where else...WRigley Field. Too funny. I am a little disturbed that the opening ceremonies are at Soldier Field. Gay Games

    10 grand

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 11, 2006 -> 05:28 PM) 10 and 1/2 months of writing, looking up stats, and being annoyingly liberal = 10,000 posts. 1 nice shiny looking trophy and one hell of a memorable year = priceless. Thanks guys. Being here last year made that run even more special than it would have been otherwise. I think you need a girlfriend...or boyfriend!
  10. QUOTE(Steff @ Mar 8, 2006 -> 11:28 AM) LOL. KINDA SORTA A SPOILER BELOW I heard 1 killing, 1 suicide and 1 "oh my God is he dead...?" in the first episode alone. I'm going out on a limb and sayin'...he ain't dead. Good way to kick off the year. What is the name of the guy who killed himself. That was the most he was ever in an episode...and now...HE GONE!
  11. QUOTE(GASHWOUND @ Mar 11, 2006 -> 06:49 PM) I'd feel kind of awkward calling up to have the Playboy channel added on...I might have checked it out if it was on there automatically, but I aint that interested to hear 'Nightcalls' or whatever the f*** that show is called... And what's the Blue collar channel suppose to be about? Is that like "Larry the cable guy" Jeff Foxworthy type of hillbilly comedy or what. You live in Merrillville...who you calling hillbillies? Yes, I don't know all it will encompass...but Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy, and many others will be on it. I think those guys are funny, despite being a non-hillbilly.
  12. QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Mar 10, 2006 -> 12:28 PM) XM dropped Playboy Radio if I remember correctly because nobody wanted it. I think they charged for it...not saying it will be any good. I think the Blue Collar Channel will be good.
  13. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Mar 10, 2006 -> 03:38 AM) is playboy free?? the description scared me, i do not want to hear hugh hefner when i first wake up... creepy You have to call to have it activated...but its free. Not sure it will be very interesting, but who knows.
  14. I think the Blue Collar Comedy one will be great. And I know people are excited Fox news is back... 15. I took an Islam class in college. I somehow got an A. I took it as an elective. Anyway, this is what I got out of it. Using violence against non-muslims, is ok, as long as it is to preserve and spread the religion. And I think some of these terrorists really take this to the extreme, and use it to play on people. What I always laugh at is how many of these people are violent against their own, which is a big no-no. That being said, the majority of people who practice Islam are peaceful people. How do I personally feel about the middle east? I wouldn't have any problems if the region was wiped from the planet. I just wish we had nothing to do with any of them. Too bad all the oil is there.
  16. QUOTE(Brian @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 12:48 PM) Also, if anyone has Comcast Digital, there is a 15 minute SOpranos preview On Demand. It is pretty cool with some behind the scenes stuff. They are shooting at a funeral parlor butu nothing is given away. I saw it...I'm so excited. f***in' fugettabouit!
  17. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Mar 7, 2006 -> 08:30 AM) I honestly like his suggestion. POD is good with me. Boom is a fitting song too since that's how his fastball comes out of his hand. Very good song IMO. I'm with you...I don't think a change is necessary. Although, Bad to the Bone would be a cool option.
  18. I didn't get my invite yet... I'd better be invited.
  19. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Mar 1, 2006 -> 10:19 AM) I haven't clicked but I'm assuming this is NOT safe for work That's my question.
  20. QUOTE(Texsox @ Mar 1, 2006 -> 09:56 AM) CBS will lose because HOWARD ROCKS You are absolutely correct. I'm just mad my stock is fallling....and falling...boo hoo...waa....Tony's stock sucks.
  21. QUOTE(Texsox @ Mar 1, 2006 -> 09:45 AM) And Tony, that will be up to a Judge at some point, I am certain. But how did y'all know Howard was talking about Sirius? At some point it becomes apparent, and possibly enforceable. They told Howard he could not refer to Sirius by name. The judge will decide. CBS will lose, but it will cost Howard money on lawyers, and f*** up my stock for the time being. Les Moonves :finger
  22. QUOTE(Texsox @ Mar 1, 2006 -> 09:33 AM) Of course discussing exact aspects is fruitless. But do you think that his contract would allow him to read commercials that only himself was benefiting from? Shouldn't the station have control of advertisements on their station? Imagine if on air talent could go out and sell their own ads and read them and the station receives nothing. I have to believe that is standard stuff for every DJ. How is it a commercial when the company name wasn't mentioned?
  23. Mel would have been better off leaving it die...now Howard, and Sirius are all back in the papers again. More promotion. Stern should be thanking them.
  24. Oh, and Les hates Mel Karmazin, who runs Sirius. Les used to be Mel's dog, and now Les is in charge, and the radio division is taking a s***.
