    Oprah to XM

    QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 10, 2006 -> 10:35 AM) Everybody is laughing now....this won't be so funny in a decade when Oprah and Wal-Mart have TAKEN OVER THE WORLD. *hides* Oprah is a TV person...not radio. This won't be good radio. But plenty of women will be pulling at their husbands to hook them up.

    Oprah to XM

    Boy, I'm sure it will be exciting every week when Oprah talks to her friend for half an hour. I think all the yentas in this country will be dissappointed to tune in for this garbage. Oprah

    "Gangsta City"

    The whole glamorizing of gangter life and culture is pretty sick. Especially when done by suburban white kids. Thank God these high rises are getting torn down.
  8. QUOTE(DABearSoX @ Jan 31, 2006 -> 03:44 PM) Where did you guys get the black ones....I got the colored at Sports Fan in wheaton for like 11.99, now that I am back in CO was wondering if they are online somewhere? I got the black ones at Grand Stand.
  9. Anthony Jr. has been heading down the wrong path for a while now...its only a matter of time before he is right at his dad's side. This show is so f***ing great. Can't wait for it to start again. f***in' foughettaboutit
  10. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Jan 30, 2006 -> 03:02 AM) I already added these to two of my jerseys. Awesome.
  11. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 27, 2006 -> 02:38 PM) Absolutely I do. My tickets are on the first base line. I dont like them as much as I would some on the 3rd base line, but we couldnt move this year. As some people know I have sold/given away/traded tickets many times, and I look forward to it this year. Especially if Quick is not going to some of his games, I love the club level. I'm in 113...row CC...we'll have to meet at a game this year.
  12. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 27, 2006 -> 02:04 PM) I know where they are. I love that section/area. I was just wondering because to get thsoe you must have had them for a long time, or have a parent have them for a long time. Rock, what kind of seats do you have? Do you do any kind of trading/selling?
  13. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 27, 2006 -> 01:59 PM) Take on me is currently my blackberry ringer FYI. See...I'm good.
  14. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 27, 2006 -> 01:14 PM) Could be. My dad just got sirius in his car, I have yet to listen to his. Either way satellite radio is awesome. Being a rider of public trans in the city, listening to my ipod got old, and the xm makes the commute easier. I dont have to miss MIke and Mike, and riding home I get sports talk and 80s music. Its awesome. I picture Rock sitting there, rocking his head, singing 'Take on Me' or 'Electric Avenue' We're going to rock on to, Electric Avenue, and then we'll take you higher.
  15. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jan 27, 2006 -> 12:58 PM) There is virtually no difference in the signal between sirius and xm. Now the quality will depend on your receiver. True...the unit you buy is important. The starmate 2 for sirius works great.
  16. J-Man, you can go on each one's website, and find out about the programming...and even get a free trial to each. Like I said, you'll notice the music is very similar...pay more attention to the premium stuff. Costs are the same.
  17. QUOTE(J-MAN @ Jan 27, 2006 -> 12:31 PM) I know nothing about the satellite units - do you have a portable unit? Is it just like carrying a portable radio? XM has a portable unit. Sirius has one coming. XM was first in the game, and currently has a better jump on the radio technology. As far as the product goes, its very similar. Both have like 100 commercial free music channels...basically the same on each side. The real difference in the product is the premium programming. XM has MLB, Opie and Anthony, etc. Sirius has Stern, NFL, etc. That is what you would use to make your decision. Both are great...I just fall under the Stern grouping.
  18. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 27, 2006 -> 12:22 PM) I dont listen to him, so I feel no effect of him being on that provider. I would rather listen to Mike and Mike in the morning on my XM radio. But I really love XM for the baseball, when im at my other house in Michigan in the summers, I love sitting by or on the lake and hearing hometown broadcasts of the sox on the radio. Nothing beats that IMO. That is exactly why I would own XM, for baseball...if I had something like that. That is perfect for your situation.
  19. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jan 27, 2006 -> 11:15 AM) I would bet not a wife... She helped me pick out the cabinet...and the other items...but you are right, she is not a wife, yet.
  20. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jan 27, 2006 -> 10:02 AM) he is listed as 6'3" on IMDB.com, but I read somewhere that he is around 6'1", which was a major reason that Bryan Singer didnt want to use him(plus the fact that he wanted his own actor, and an unknown). Who knows, I may be wrong. Tom Welling is still a douche' He can be a douche....I'll take his money and looks. And his kiss scenes with Kristin. Yum yum.
  21. To hear my favorite player, act like this, at the end, is dissappointing. He'll still be my favorite, but once again, I have to hear his complaining. I still wish him luck. Thanks for the memories Frank.
  22. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jan 27, 2006 -> 09:38 AM) In fairness, the Superman part has long been thought to have been cursed, and carries with it the strong possibility that the actor will be type-cast out of that role. So many famous people have turned down many different versions of the superman part, on both TV and Movie. There is an expected strong committment from the actor playing the Superman part, and alot of actors dont want to make that committment. Tom Welling is a douche now because is pissed that he wasnt carried over into the movie as Superman. In case Welling didnt notice, he is short. Short isnt bad if you are playing a teenage superman. Short is bad when you are trying to play a full grown superman, who is anywhere from 6'4" to 6'6" in the comics. I don't know his stats...but I didn't think Welling was short.
  23. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Jan 27, 2006 -> 12:01 AM) I've only seen about 15 episodes so I only have a glimpse of how good they are. Most I've seen are pretty good, but this was the best one I've seen. I'm not a regular viewer obviously but it was a very dramatic episode. I've seen almost every episode and I would say this was the best one. For the first half hour, I was saying Clark was dreaming. And Kristin looked great last night...but its pretty obvious I would think that. Awesome show.
  24. I had some interest in the bat racks...here is a link. I ordered these last saturday, got them Wednesday, via ground. Cooperstown Bat And the cabinet was nice and inexpensive...$99 at IKEA. Linky below. IKEA
  25. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 05:57 PM) Kicks ass twice. You guys are so sweet.
