  1. QUOTE(Steff @ Nov 14, 2005 -> 01:03 PM) That's what I heard as well. Also, for those ticket holders looking for the order form for opening day and Sox/Cubs.. after they get all st orders processed they will be sending them out. Steff, my guy is still working on getting me a partial plan in the lower bowl...so I don't know what you mean by order form. Can you explain?
  2. QUOTE(easyw @ Nov 12, 2005 -> 03:29 PM) The number of season ticket holders will increase. What was it in 2005? 11,000? So, maybe that figure jumps to 15,000? No surprise that prices went up. We're lucky they didn't go up by even more than they did. For me, it doesn't matter whether a bleacher seat costs $24 or $27.. it might as well be $100, because that is just an absurd amount of money to pay. There are 6 monday 'hal price' nights, and I plan on attending one of those. And $6 beers? Forget it! I'll drink the parking lot. You'll see an increase in attendance. But I think most Sox fans are like me - we simply won't pay our own hard earned cash to get into the park. I use my connections - friends with other teams, friends who work for US Cell, season ticker holders.. etc... 2006 will definately be one of the Sox Top 5 in franchise attendance.. no small feat for a club that's been around for 100 years.... I'm glad we all don't have your attitude, or we wouldn't even have a team. What exactly do you do that is reasonable? Movies are f***ing $10 a person these days.
  3. QUOTE(Whitesoxfan56 @ Nov 13, 2005 -> 10:04 PM) all i gotta say is.... :puke Are you psychic? You read my mind.
  4. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Nov 13, 2005 -> 06:36 PM) How did you ever come up with a nickname like that? What about Fatt LeCroy? Is that clever enough?
  5. QUOTE(traydragen @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 12:54 PM) The fleece is one size larger than normal or I should order one size larger than I would normally wear?? I'm sorry I am braindead. thanks for the reply tony. I usually wear XXL...and it a little tight on me...could have gone XXXL...if they makes sizes that big....so go 1 size larger...
  6. QUOTE(traydragen @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 12:28 PM) Anyone who ordered the black fleece (the one that is plain with just the "Sox" down the very top of the shirt I think like 60$ was the price) with the WS logo on the side from MLB.com, can you tell me how the sizing is on that? Does the fleece fit larger than the size indicates? Or should I just order the size I usually wear? Thanks. I have it and I would say 1 size bigger....
  7. I ordered a WS bat from Hamster Direct...well, as of today, I did not get it. I e-mailed them and apparently my order didn't go through. The guy looked up my paypal payment and is shipping my bat today...I'll have it monday. So be aware if any of you ordered your bat this way.
  8. QUOTE(CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 11:41 AM) I recorded all world series games on DVd with post game from Comcast and for the final game post game included post game from Fox, Comcast, ESPN , ESPN news and the parade. Most all commercials are edited though becuase of that I missed an at bat here and there. Are you making a sales pitch?
  9. QUOTE(Steff @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 10:23 AM) If he hasn't gotten his hair cut yet.. tell him Alex told him to. He looks hotter with long hair...
  10. At Sox batting practice I told Paulie to move to Stickney... And I yelled at Ron Kittle to sit down at the World Series...then I kicked his ass!
  11. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Nov 10, 2005 -> 02:09 PM) Turn off your xbox consoles folks. Don't blaspheme!
  12. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Nov 10, 2005 -> 11:53 AM) Lugo, wife beater, no thanks. Hey, whatever improves his swing! Ok, that was bad...I apologize...its not a joke...
  13. QUOTE(Steff @ Nov 10, 2005 -> 11:33 AM) I think mentioning my past with Belle is way past name dropping at this point. You might have dated Belle...but I heckled his ass from the Bullpen Sports bar. And check it out...Paulie's 3rd cousin... Chris Crawford
  14. QUOTE(Steff @ Nov 10, 2005 -> 11:28 AM) I'm not ripping you, I am asking you for some sort of source, that IMO would be there if such comments were made - just like Mark's have been well documented. I've followed Kenny's career closely - due to his friendship with someone I am close to - and I've never heard such a thing. Not that it matters. If Kenny could help the team, he'd be here. It would be stupid to think otherwise. Name dropper...and I once was friends with a girl, who slept with Chris Crawford, from the Marquette Men's basketball team, who looks a lot like Paul Konerko. True story.
  15. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Nov 10, 2005 -> 10:33 AM) Hey, anyone who can go yard off Escobar in a tough spot like that and then got it started off Oswalt in the Series I am going to defend. There is no way we can trade this guy unless Boras is completely outrageous in his demands. I certainly think Joe is more important than Kong.
  16. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Nov 10, 2005 -> 10:23 AM) Career in September: .321, 17 HR, 67 RBI, .902 OPS, 26 doubles. Say what you want about Crede, but he is clutch in September and his playoff numbers were outstanding this year. Without him, we don't win the series IMO. Plus we all love the glove...I'm really not against moving anyone on this team, except McCarthy. This is when players will want to come here, so lets get the best team assembled we can.
  17. QUOTE(Beetle @ Nov 10, 2005 -> 09:31 AM) Yup... all the Marlins got was the standard 1-hour MLB WS dvd -- and even that was chock-full of Yankee/Clemens adulation footage. That said, the White Sox have a lot more history and mystique than the Fish, plus that whole "curse" angle to play with; so you never know. Big difference between the Marlins and Sox. Our fan base is larger and much more into baseball than Miami. I'm sure you are a die-hard, but overall, that team does not seem to have a large die-hard following. We will certainly have an extended DVD collection of some sort. This whole season needs to be DVD'd and it will be. And we were not cursed...those are Cub words.
  18. QUOTE(YASNY @ Nov 10, 2005 -> 08:09 AM) It's been mentioned around here. If I recall, Brooks Boyer was specifically asked about this via email and confirmed it. I e-mailed Brooks Boyer...he said they are working on something and that it would be announced in the not too distant future...whenever that will be.
  19. Wow, this is very intriguing...I could see Uribe at third and Furcal at SS. Its all very exciting. Can't wait to see what happens with this team.
  20. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Nov 9, 2005 -> 02:35 PM) It's over and done with, but still trying to figure out why Shapiro won this. What did he do in the offseason? Sign Millwood? Jose Hernandez? He kept pretty much the same team that he had the previous year. The only thing he really did was lay the groundwork for a POTENTIAL contending team. Everything else is up to the manager. Oh, well. Exactly, he signed 1 player...Kenny reworked the whole team...THIS YEAR
  21. QUOTE(Steff @ Nov 9, 2005 -> 01:46 PM) Confirmation.. the shoes are also at Dicks. That place is White Sox Headquarters right now...for the burbs...Grandstand in the city.
  22. This is just the beginning of his legacy...I see much more to come.
  23. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Nov 9, 2005 -> 01:41 PM) I see nothing about it on any of the usual sites. And the other awards were announced later in the day. What is your source? Can you link it in, please? Per the Score...670 AM
  24. Who would of thought it. We actually got a post-season award. Congrats Ozzie!
