  1. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 10:24 AM) Tons of availability. Prices were coming down towards face even an hour and a half before first pitch. It was so bad that many scalpers wouldn't quote you a price, they were asking what you were willing to spend. I would think 6 and 7 would be different, but who knows.
  2. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 07:41 AM) So he was better off dead, than to ask Reinsdorf for tickets? Sorry your mom blew up, Ricky!
  3. Ok, first it was Graffanino butchering a double-play ball. Now its Josh Paul, not tagging the guy on a 'dropped third strike.' YEah, that is certainly debateable. All he had to do was tag AJ and this whole thing would be avoided. So, Goat = Josh Paul. So, when we make the World Series, will it be Tony LaRussa that helps us out? I'm thinking he'll bench Pujols for the series... These ex-Sox rock!
  4. QUOTE(Sox Hustler @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 10:53 AM) Do you guys really think if you go to the park before game time you can get seats? I guess it's always a gamble going to find seats but I don't want to make the trip if there isn't a good chance of me getting a seat. How is it gonna be, 3 games in Chicago, 3 in Anahiem and the last one here?? I'm shocked that you don't know this...but its 2 here, 3 in Anaheim, and then 2 here.
  5. Anyone over 21 should look into what the local bars are doing. Since most have satellite, you should be cool. You guys living in the stix might get screwed though.
  6. QUOTE(the People's Champ @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 07:37 PM) that phrase was coined by the Mack, Jurko, and Harry show Yeah, I believe that Jurko calls Harry that.
  7. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 10:35 PM) We were down 3-0 early, and from what I saw the crowd was on its feet from the 7th inning on basically. I agree...the crowd was jacked before the game....and then after that Garrett Anderson HR, it was quieted. Game 2 of the ALDS was very similar. We got down early, the crowd was quiet until the 5th and then we went nuts.
  8. QUOTE(Antonio Osuna @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 03:07 PM) I have a Perry jersey, but today I'm going with my game-worn Antonio Osuna #13. Yes, that's why I use this name here. There's only one #13 in this city!
  9. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 03:03 PM) In the related news, Pizza delivery boys across Chicago are in a state of panic ... Zing...nice one.
  10. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 02:04 PM) Leaving here at 3.. there by 4ish. Do you take 55 to the Dan Ryan? I usually get off on Ashland/Damen, and cut through the neighborhood...but they tore up a bridge and f***ed everything up. Does anyone have any good routes?
  11. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 02:01 PM) He, he.. no You and H coming to Jimbo's? Its possible...not sure yet...what time do you usually get in there?
  12. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 01:58 PM) Ewu. I ain't going that far.. Do it for the White Sox!
  13. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 01:29 PM) Drink plenty of fluids! All I have right now is a bit of a cold which damn well better not progress into anything worse lol. Oh, she'll drink plenty of fluids.
  14. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 01:26 PM) I'm feeling sick... 101.4 fever. Great.. Are you serious? That sucks.
  15. QUOTE(Reddy @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 12:54 PM) Basically we're facing: Byrd (5 runs last outing) Gregg (not a starter) Escobar (not a starter) Santana (rookie) Washburn (sick) Lackey how can you NOT like our chances? The Angels just worry me. That being said, we're going to f***ing win!
  16. My best offer today is $250 a piece, for 3rd base side. I'm shocked. Still debating it. Damn, wish the Yankees would have made it.
  17. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 11:33 AM) Ladies and gentlemen. I know the ticketmaster fiasco of 2005 was very rough for many of you. But have no fear. Ticket prices are dropping quickly. I just snagged 4 for 75 eacah for tonights game for a friend and I have a feeling that the prices will continue to drop. Keep checking craigslist and ebay, and dont be afraid to go down to the park and see what you can find. It seems like the demand is not as great as expected, and scalpers are realizing the sox fans dont pay 2500 for a single ticket. Good luck all. Shhhh...
  18. QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 10:59 AM) Just don't wear the Thunder Thong. We need to keep fans at the game. Hey, you don't know what I look like in a thong. 6'2", 170 pounds, can look pretty hot barely covered up!

  20. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 10:33 AM) hes the damn Korean babe ruth. The Hulk, if you will.
  21. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 09:20 AM) Does it count that I am doing the seating arrangement for Brian's family tonight? No, I don't want to (only day FMIL and FSIL could get together this week and it has to get done by Saturday) and since mine took all of 5 minutes, I am hoping it will take as long and then I have the rest of the evening to myself and the TV . Is this guy worth all this hassle? I'm kidding...congrats...and make sure you do the arrangements before 7:00
  22. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 09:16 AM) Um, we have the Rally Crede and we handed out thundersticks for Game 2 IIRC. It didn't mean the thuderstix weren't lame! I didn't bang 'em...but I'm for all showings of support. tonight I'm going to wear Thunder Pants...wait till you see those in action.
  23. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 09:13 AM) f***, I would take tickets you got tix
  24. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 09:02 AM) I did my centerpieces alone in less than an hr on Sunday (and that was 21 centerpieces, probably only will use 19 of 'em). The only thing I have left on them is the remaining team trivia (9 or 10 are complete). Anyhow, I wish I could go, but no tickets yet (hoping my aunt can come through though). GO SOX! Why didn't you do it right in the middle of a playoff game?
  25. QUOTE(BlackBetsy @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 09:04 AM) In related news, Pierzynski was 1 for 26 against the Angels this year. That's not so good. uh, oh...whose got the Captain Obvious picture?
