  1. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Sep 7, 2005 -> 10:09 AM) I don't blame him for wondering what the team's plans are for him. I wonder the same thing. What can the plans be? We already have an outfield back-log, and Brian Anderson waiting in the wings. DH? Could be I guess. Get rid of Timo's ass and keep him? He should play for free, given the money he has stolen so far.
  2. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 7, 2005 -> 10:06 AM) Wow, tough crowd. I give Borchard credit for toughing it out. He could have easily left baseball for the NFL and likely more money. Tough crowd? The guy got over $5 million, and did nothing for the team.
  3. See ya later Joe...we hardly knew ye. When I hear his name, a certain song comes to mind....it goes something like this... "Come on, take the money and run. Oooh, ooh, ooh, Come on, take the money and run."
  4. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Sep 7, 2005 -> 09:54 AM) How did you arrange for that? It sounds really cool! Just call the Sox...Martha Jo Black to be specific. She handles the fantasy experiences. Its $300 a person, but you also get nice VIP tickets to the game and a premium parking pass.

  6. My girlfriend and I did the Sox BP fantasy experience yesterday. We had a great time and got to meet several of the players. It started at about 5 and went till almost 6. The players (staff) who took pictures with us and signed were Everett, Rowand, Konerko, Uribe, Raines, and DJ. The nicest guy was Everett. He was real personable and care-free. Konerko was also very nice. He signed my girlfriend's jersey and an 8X10. Overall, I had a good time. I wish I could have met a few more players, but that did not take away from the experience. Its awesome that the Sox make this available to the fans. I would definately recommend it to anyone who is a fan. Go Sox!
  7. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 06:18 PM) Pretty much, I am tired of hearing about the RED SOX on a WHITE SOX forum and I think a lot of other people are too. So I basically gave my opinion. Other than that, congrats AJ as I said before. I'm with you on this one. I have no problem with being a fan of both teams, but remember this is a White Sox board. Besides, the love affair with the Red Sox is vomitous! :puke
  8. QUOTE(Dam8610 @ Sep 7, 2005 -> 12:04 AM) Long live this thread! May the undefeated September continue all the way to the 1st of October! The first of October? How about the last of October? Keep it going strong, boys!
  9. This shows why Cincy ownership is dumb. They had a chance to unload this guy, after years of wasting money on him, and they f***ed it up. Enjoy being horrible for the next few years. Congrats!
  10. I got 16 out of 17 on the 'More 80's teen angst' quiz...awesome.
  11. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 12:22 PM) If Borchard has even a non-terrible month...will he have any trade value at all? If not, what are the chances he'll be able to get a roster spot (Timo's?) coming out of Spring Training next year? Otherwise we lose him for nothing. We won't have him anymore...he can leave after this season...and no trade will take place between now and the end of the month. We paid a s***load for him and got crap.
  12. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 11:16 AM) A recent photo of Orlando Hernandez: Its amazing how he keeps himself in such good shape!
  13. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 11:18 AM) The question is, when was he effective in the postseason. El Duque postseason pre-2000 5-0 1.02 ERA 2000-now 4-3 4.03 ERA Anyone who has confidence in El Pukee is crazy. I don't want that guy touching the ball during the postseason.
  14. QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 10:14 AM) Nearly all of the shirts being sold between the L and the park are anti-Cub shirts. My favorite, even though I wouldn't wear it, is the Wrigley Field, World's Largest Gay bar. Got one for myself, one for a local buddy, and one for a friend in Milwaukee...shipped it today. Buying 3 more tonight for other assorted folks.
  15. Borchard pisses me off....he left us with no trade ability. Thanks buddy!
  16. I'll be there for my 'batting practice fantasy experience'...and we will win! Go Sox.
  17. 22. QUOTE(mreye @ Sep 1, 2005 -> 01:47 PM) What? Friday is mullet day or something? Link? Its Mullet Night...you can get a free mullet hair cut, courtesy of Great Clips...or just show up with a mullet...real or fake...for the celebration. You can also be part of the mullet parade on the field, prior to the game. Exciting Stuff!
  23. There are certainly lots of humerous things to be said about this cooter trap and you guys have said them. On a serious note, South Africa has a ton of rape and high rate of AIDS. I saw a woman on 20/20 who had asked her rapist to wear a condom, so as not to get AIDS. The question was did she give consent...obviously not. But there were some legal issues going on with the trial. Sounded like a scary place to be a lady.
