  1. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 25, 2010 -> 01:32 PM) Is the actual 05 trophy on display anywhere? I flat out couldn't find it. You have to enter the cell behind home, via the office entrance. The trophy is on display there. Don't believe they let you enter there on game day.
  2. Personally, I love Kenny and Ozzie and I think they do the best they can, with the limits put on them by Reinsdorf.
  3. Per MLBTraderumors... Trade Possible, Nats May Try To Extend Dunn Soon By Ben Nicholson-Smith [July 23 at 9:57am CST] Adam Dunn is looking for a long-term deal, and if he and the Nationals can’t agree on his value, the team will likely trade him, according to ESPN.com's Jayson Stark. Dunn would stay in Washington if he and the Nationals can agree to the parameters of a deal, even if they don’t formally announce an agreement. The Nats have the chance to keep Dunn in Washington, so they may try to extend him before the trade deadline, according to ESPN.com's Buster Olney (via Twitter). Dunn, 31 in November, has 23 homers and a .933 OPS, so he remains one of the game's elite power hitters. Many have suggested that Dunn's poor defense makes him an ideal candidate to DH, but that hasn't prevented NL teams like the Giants from showing interest. The Nats seem reluctant to deal their top players, including Dunn, but the White Sox are definitely interested.
  4. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 21, 2010 -> 02:02 PM) If Hudson is dealt, we might see Chris Sale pretty soon. Carlos Torres isn't going to last as a 5th starter for real long. Agreed...we would need Sale...Torres is garbage
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 19, 2010 -> 12:57 PM) I figured it was probably Anderson. Kenny made a comment about how it was infecting everyone in the clubhouse...can't see Anderson infecting anyone with anything. Swisher's ass got run out of here pretty quick....and for nothing in return...they wanted him gone.
  6. QUOTE (chwhtsox @ Jul 19, 2010 -> 12:15 PM) I wonder who KW was talking about when he said Ozzie called him about a player and he told him to cut him without caring who it was. I assumed Swisher
  7. It really wasn't all that riveting...within one hour we went from January 22nd to Draft Day. It made spring training look like it was nothing. If this was another team, I wouldn't watch again.
  8. He is probably my second all time favorite...behind Frank. Mark, lets get ring #2 this year!
  9. QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 12:43 PM) Its all about 2010! This team has proved most of us wrong and i am loving every bit of it. I was on board from day1...that's why I went to Soxfest and Spring Training...and then the first 2 months floored me. Wanted to rip up my season tickets...now, I think we rule the world. Anyone see the video of Hawk from early June where he says the Sox remind him of the '83 team...hope he is right, minus the part where we lose in the first round of the playoffs.
  10. QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 11:39 PM) How do I want them to look? I hope they're all wearing rings. Exactly what I came on here to post...I want them sporting rings.
  11. Lebron...lame. NBA...lame. Miami...lame town. 'The Decision'...as lame as it gets. LeBron officially declared he is a p**** who is afraid to try and win by being the main guy. He is no longer the king, but merely Wade's puppet. Who cares...I'll be watching the BHawks.
  12. Very impressive win...loving the past 25 games...can't wait until we take over first.
  13. Sox announcers on CSN...Cubs on WGN. LEts go get number 12...looks good...we usually beat Dempster, and DAnks usually beats the Cubs.
  14. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ May 24, 2010 -> 12:31 AM) As much as I think hockey is really boring, I hope for all my soxtalk pals that the hawks can win 4 for you. No, you're confusing hockey with soccer. Go Hawks!
  15. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 09:24 AM) Luckily tonight will be all Bulls, no Sox for me. Hopefully by not watching they win. The bulls? Who bothers with them anymore. Go Sox and Go Blackhawks (on friday)!
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 08:39 AM) Yeah, that HR yesterday pissed me off too. Did you also enjoy all his groundouts with men on base?
  17. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Apr 11, 2010 -> 11:59 PM) You forgot about Kotsay in that lineup. I am so f***ing sick of seeing Kotsay in this lineup.
  18. They are lame...not sure why they made them look like that.
  19. just got back from spring training. Good times...got a ton of autographs...konerko, Beckham, Peavy, Teahan, Jones, Rios, AJ, Gavin, Hawk, Viciedo...and could have got more. The guy at Arizona Sports Cards kept running out of baseballs. Could have gotten flowers and Jordan Danks, but was out of baseballs. One thing I noticed, what is with Teahan's throwing motion? He doesn't have a full windup. He throws the ball from by his head. Very odd. Here are some pics.
  20. USA Today's Bob Nightengale reports Chicago White Sox SP Jake Peavy is OK after being involved in a car accident that totaled his vehicle Monday, March 15. Peavy only suffered a cut on his neck from the seatbelt. Read more: http://www.fantasysp.com/player/mlb/Jake_P...5#ixzz0iNEQWYI9
  21. QUOTE (ptatc @ Mar 13, 2010 -> 11:27 AM) This is a potentially very serious injury. One of the primary functions of the posterior tibialis tendon is to support the arch of the foot. If this tendon isn't functioning properly it could lead to chronic foot problems such as plantar fasciitis. This is the main concern. If the tendon avulsed from the bone the re-attachment should be fairly easy. If the tear is in the middle of the tendon it is much more difficult. Repairing the actual tendon is like tying two pieces of spaghetti together. They would probably use a type of metal augmentation device to strengthen it. Hopefully it avulsed off the bone and there is an improved chance that he will have no lingering problems. We will know by how soon they allow him to run on it. Either way it's a 3 to 8 month injury from surgery to rehab to return to play. It will be toward the early end if it came off the bone toward the latter end if it tore mid substance. Just for the record, I'm not a doctor, I'm a physical therapist and athletic trainer by profession. Way to break the stereotype that all Sox fans are drug addicts and criminals. YOu're ruining our image. Great information thanks...or maybe I should say F#ck! I was getting excited about this guy.
  22. I'd love to see Pierre, Damon, Beckham heading up the top of our lineup. That's a nice 1-2-3.
