  1. Buerhle and Garland will be in...after that its a toss-up...
  2. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 02:06 PM) Now there was a good show. Back when Andy was still on with the Mastubating Bear, Pimpbot, Carl Oldie Olson, the guy in the hot dog outfit, staring contests, driving the desk, a lot of the '96 Olympics skits, the skit where the subtitles writer changes the channel to porn... 90% of good Simpsons episodes will have Conan O'Brien's name in the credits.
  3. QUOTE(Be Good @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 01:24 PM) Simpsons as a whole, nothing even close. I haven't found the simpsons funny in years...it lost its edge after Conan O'Brien left...
  4. Buerhle absolutely rocks...on the field and off...ok, that sounded gay...anyway, I'm just afraid that after his current contract, we'll be seeing him in St. Louis. That will suck. He's the type to take less money to play there and St. Louis would never pass him up. I hope the day doesn't come....
  5. QUOTE(danman31 @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 02:13 AM) Love the sig and avy! Funny thing is, I think Kristin is the only thing we agree on lol. I'm a heat guy. My mom always thinks it's because I was born during a heat wave in June of 87. Well, a good point was brought up...as much as I hate heat...I love women...and more specifically, half dressed women, so maybe I'm moving towards heat... Kristin is just so hot...gotta love smallville episodes where she acts slutty!
  6. Tom Cruise alien/cult member really makes me not want to see it, but I'm sure I'll rent it when it comes out.
  7. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 27, 2005 -> 03:17 PM) AH Ok, I'll play along... Family Guy, Arrested Development, Drawn Together, Law&Order, and ER. so then you pick 5... Family Guy is pretty popular...I watch the reruns on Adult Swim...it is a great show.

    Anyone know..

    Its just grass...it'll grow back
  9. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 27, 2005 -> 03:15 PM) Show, entertainment... it doesn't matter. It is the one thing on TV, that I MAKE SURE to watch. I like other things, but nothing else is must see. You ruined my thread
  10. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 27, 2005 -> 03:12 PM) White Sox baseball... and it isn't even close. That would be your favorite form of entertainment....not show...

    Anyone know..

    Actually, its probably a fine.
  12. QUOTE(Goldmember @ Jun 27, 2005 -> 03:05 PM) watch smallville all the time. my favorite would have to be alias though. jennifer garner... Kristin Kreuk > Jennifer Garner....but I certianly wouldn't kick Jen out of bed!
  13. Mine has to be Smallville. I usually don't get into Science Fiction too much, but this show is just so well written. For those who don't know, its about Superman as a boy growing up in Smallville Kansas. You get to see how he develops as a teenager and learns his powers and abiliites. Plus you've gotta love Lana Lang, check the signature and avatar. I would have voted Sopranos, but its not on enough for me to select it. It a close second.
  14. I agree...not a fan of the heat...although, I was in the UD, about 3 rows from the top, 1st base side and it was cool up there...no kidding. Wasn't even sweating, and I sweat a lot. It was teh first time I was glad to be sitting up there.
  15. We should be able to get back on track tomorrow with Buerhle...hopefully we can win the series or better yet sweep. lets start another 8 game winning streak.

  17. I was born in 1976...July 4th 1976 to be exact...and I don't have specific game memories...just memories of going with my grandpa and walking around in the upper deck outfield...I have a lot of good memories from this year! And I'm hoping for many more.
  18. QUOTE(GoArow33 @ Jun 24, 2005 -> 09:13 AM) So I woke up this morning to get my paper and I notice that my White Sox flag has been taken off its stand and thrown onto the driveway and when I walked further down that some drunken loser had written Cubs in spray paint across my side walk. This happens to be beyond friendly jeering in my mind and I'm quite upset that I'll probably have to get new concrete in to cover up this trash on my sidewalk. So today I'll be cheering extra loud on the first base side @ the cell. GO SOX!!! Win this one for my sidewalk... You can probably get it powerwashed right off...Perfect Powerwash in Berwyn/Cicero area...
  19. I have had so much fun this year...10 games up...f***ing sweet!
  20. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 08:48 AM) This is the key comment and biggest trueism about the article The Sox even get the fact that a fan base isn't built in a day, or even a year. They are literally looking 10, 15, 20 years down the road, at literally growing White Sox fans from the womb. If the kids grow up going to Comiskey, they will keep wanting to go there. There is no doubt that the kids are the most important demographic, especially in this town, where you don't change the minds of older fans. You might pull in the casual fan, but if you are going to build the base, you have to do it on people you can win loyalty from. I started going to sox games with my grandpa when I was a kid (we went from a bar in Berwyn in a bus with a keg)...and my dad had started going to games with his mother, when he was a kid....and I take my girlfriend, her kid, my dad, and my young cousins to games, to work on them...so this is obviously how things work... My grandpa recently died and I still picture him and I walking through the park, hand in hand, everytime I go there...he was my buddy and I miss him...especially when I go to games and remember that this started with him.
  21. QUOTE(Spod=Ratings @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 02:33 AM) Soxtalk rules i just wish there was Packtalk.com Lets all talk about how bad the Packers defense will be this year and how bad the pack will suck once favre takes a hike. Sorry, I hate the f***ing packers about as much as I hate the Cubs...but not quite. Now remind me how the Bears have sucked for 10+ years...
  22. QUOTE(mreye @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 07:21 AM) This article has one thing ALL of the others did not. It finally mentions the increase of 12% so far this year. It also mentions that while Wednesday was only 24,000, it was the largest Wednesday attendance so far. I'd like to see the place packed, but it's going to take time. SS2K5 said it best in a previous thread. If you missed it look for it yourself. I'm too lazy. Comiskey is one of the most fun places to be when it's packed. (The old Chicago Stadium was by far the best! Moment of silence for Chicago Stadium...thank you very much) 24,000 for a wednesday day game! I was floored when I heard that. The lower bowl was basically full. That shows we're getting people out there. That being said, f*** this attendance talk.
  23. QUOTE(jasonxctf @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 03:51 PM) it's a dave chapelle thing. you forgot b****es....
