  1. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 09:52 AM) Saturday was just an AWESOME game to be at. There was no give in the team and there was no give in the fans. I didn't see anyone walking out in the 9th. I was there with 8 friends and I must have high fived 50 strangers. Everybody was just goin nuts when we tied it and the thing really blew up when we won. One of the best games I been to. Amen to that...had to be the best game I've ever gone to. I had turned to my girlfriend's daughter and said AJ is going to hit a homerun...you just felt it was going to happen.

  3. I have 4 tickets for tonight....buyer must meet me at 4:30 at Gate 4...Section 101 Row 12, seats 13-16...who's interested? This game is going to sell out. No lower deck available.
  4. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 09:03 AM) No way Tom Cruise didn't try the milk before buying the cow.. I like how you sized that up!
  5. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 08:50 AM) There is no doubt in my mind, there isn't a more important guy to get locked up long term on this team right now. Forget Frank and Konerko, AJ holds the keys right now. I agree...get him long term. Love AJ!
  6. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 08:30 AM) Not a chance she's a virgin. She claims that...I'd love to 'foul' her first!
  7. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 07:01 AM) Oh boy, this keep getting better and better; Wow, Cruise really wants into those pants (she's a virgin till married)...these two are whacky.
  8. QUOTE(Tmar28 @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 02:57 PM) yea i always see their ads in the suntimes. they have some awesome deals and i want to go, but its all the way in downers grove and i would most likely get lost. Its easy to find...where would you be coming from?
  9. QUOTE(sayitanitso @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 02:33 PM) Mullet Night that's every night
  10. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 02:54 PM) This thread is making my head hurt.. That's you on the left?
  11. QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 02:50 PM) there's no question who is more talented. But who will win more games in their career? Jon already has a 20 game edge on Prior. I hate complimenting the Cubs as much as any Sox fan...but I think he will have a hall of fame career....and I would want him. I stand by what I said...I'd rather have Prior.
  12. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 02:49 PM) /writes this down for a business plan... Fry's dancers and electronics boutique If you get rich, I'd better get a check!
  13. QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 02:46 PM) See, I don't think Prior pitches more than 100 innings any year for the rest of his career. Injuries just find this guy. He is the real deal...its just too bad he plays at the Crap Heap.
  14. If they had a bar and some dancing girls, I would never leave!
  15. QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 02:43 PM) This is exactly my point. Hell, at this point I would take probably take Garland over Prior for the rest of his career. Guaranteed 12+ wins (probably more like 15) every year or bag full of injuries? I'd trade Garland for Prior right now
  16. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 02:16 PM) There's 5 of them in the metroplex (Dallas/Fort Worth and surrounding cities). That place just kicks MAJOR ass. I never even go to Best Buy now, because Fry's kicks the s*** out of them as far as prices and stuff they have. The most dangerous thing I possess is a credit card from Fry's with too large of a limit... We just got it last summer...do they run similar deals like I was mentioning? I was wondering if they were doing this since they were new to our market.
  17. Dog Day...I think its a cool idea, even though my poor Geezer hasn't gotten there yet...next year buddy!
  18. There is a Fry's electronics in Downers Grove (just south of Butterfield on Finley Road). This is the only one in Illinois, and it is a great place. Its like a super-sized Best Buy, but with better prices. I have gotten some great deals over the past year. I bought Madden NFL 2005 for $36.99, the day it came out. Retail 49.99. Now they have Grand Theft Auto San Andreas for XBox for $29.99 (through tomorrow)...Retail $49.99. They also have lots of deals on movies, TVs, CDs, evertyhing they sell. Their ads are always in the middle of the Sun Times (not sure about the trib). If you haven't checked this place out, do it. Has anyone got any kick ass deals from there?
  19. QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 12:23 PM) The only two promotions that have actually brought in more fans are Half-Price Mondays and Fireworks Saturdays. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and even some Friday crowds are horrible and they will always be. The Sox never drew on those days. The Sox fan base is in the suburbs. Try leaving work in Arlington Heights at 5pm, driving to Lombard to pick up the wife and kids and then heading down to the Cell on a Tuesday against the Royals. It just doesn't happen for most fans. Also the 2-for-1 upper deck thing on Tuesdays appears to be a bit of a bust. Fans want to sit downstairs. Move to Stickney!
  20. Wow, he sounds like an interesting fellow.
  21. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 11:53 AM) he's an idiot, as well as people who think the place is a terrible park. Everyone I bring to the park that has never been there beofre, leaves loving the experience and the field. Its the tribune that keeps making people think that way. People are sheep and will always think of the Cell as lifeless until they experience it. I love the stadium and I wouldnt have it any other way. I had several people with me last night for the first time and they had a great time and thought the park was great...they're actually from WI and Brewers fans...anyway, the one guy was impressed from the beginning, when the introductions were made....they loved the food...and then we finished off the night in the bullpen bar. they also got a big kick out of the Cubs hatred...
  22. I'm getting to the point where I don't want to sit in the outfield...that's where you get the troublemakers now...
