  1. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 15, 2010 -> 10:01 PM) Soxtalk should institute a "like" button, because I'd be all over this.
  2. A.J. Pierzynski-C-White Sox Dec. 2 - 10:21 pm et According to Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com, the White Sox have agreed a two-year contract with catcher A.J. Pierzynski. Source: Ken Rosenthal on Twitter per rotoworld damn, beat me to it..
  3. 3:39pm: The White Sox and Dunn are closing in on a four-year, $56MM deal, according to Mike DiGiovanna of the LA Times. just to back up the previous posts
  4. apparently this is what Jeter is asking for per rotoworld Derek Jeter-SS-Yankees Nov. 26 - 9:31 pm et The New York Times' Michael S. Schmidt reports that Derek Jeter’s agent, Casey Close, is asking the Yankees for a four- or five-year deal worth $23-24 million per season. Earlier reports had Close looking for a six-year, $150 million deal, which he denied. This is a little better, but it sounds like he's asking, at minimum, for $92 million over four years, which is one year and $47 million less than the Yankees' perfectly reasonable offer. We really can't see the Yanks budging much here, as Jeter simply isn't worth close to what his agent is wanting, no matter how much of an icon he is. Close is going to have to drop his demands significantly to get something done. Source: The New York Times

  8. QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ Apr 15, 2010 -> 01:40 AM) Also, didn't the Sox trade a lefty reliever named Jose Lopez to Boston a while back for some guy? How is Jose Lopez doing now? I thought he was decent when I saw him pitch for Boston. I think I'd prefer having Lopez over Randy Williams. It actually was Javier not Jose, not to far off, and he was listed pitching for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim of California of the West Coastal Region of the United States on thebaseballcube.com, but on milb.com he was listed as pitching with the Red Sox, but I couldn't find accurate stats for him.
  9. I don't think that it hit AJ at all, but i do love his acting abilities. Gotta love AJ at his finest.

  11. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 7, 2010 -> 11:19 AM) I really like PTI as long as its Kornheiser and Wilbon. Agreed, SportsNation doesn't really seem to have a point except for the one woman host to go ga-ga over LeBron everyday.
  12. It looks to me like Teahen has no confidence at the plate, so he gets my vote. Alexei has been a slow starter the past two years so he doesn't really worry me too much.
  13. It was hard to read this in the library and not literally laugh out loud, great write up. I enjoyed it.
  14. Great pics, i'm extremely jealous that you were that close.
  15. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 30, 2010 -> 12:53 PM) I am fine with Kotsay as long as he plays the role he is supposed to play. My problem with Linebrink is that he cannot do that with any sort of consistency, and when he goes bad, he goes really bad Even though this has absolutely nothing to do with the topic, I like the Silversun Pickups reference KyYlE.
  16. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Mar 4, 2010 -> 01:39 PM) First spring training game and it feels like spring outside for once, in Chicago at least. Yeah in dekalb it feels like a heatwave since its close to 40 today
  17. QUOTE (hogan873 @ Feb 18, 2010 -> 10:37 AM) This is more of a buzzkill than Buzz Killington.
  18. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 17, 2010 -> 06:08 PM) Wait, so Clevelands gets Jamison(Wiz) and Telfair(Clips), The Wizards get Skinner(Clips), Ilgauskas(Cavs), Thornton(Clips) AND a 1st round pick(Cavs), and The Clippers get Drew Gooden and thats it? Yeah, the Clippers are the big winners of this deal...
  19. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Dec 20, 2009 -> 09:26 PM) MLBTraderumors is saying he may be close to signing with the Rangers.... per rotoworld: Darren Oliver-R-Angels Dec. 20 - 10:06 pm et According to Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News, Darren Oliver's contract with the Rangers will be worth at least $3.65 million over one year. Oliver made $3.65 million in 2009 while posting a 2.71 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 65/22 K/BB in 73 innings. He was asking for a raise this offseason and drew enough interest that he likely obtained it.
