  1. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 6, 2009 -> 12:09 AM) Keep your Palmer. Doesn't fit my style
  2. My other draft trade, Demarcus Ware 98 for Patrick Willis 98
  3. Carson Palmer 88 for Tony Romo 87
  4. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Oct 5, 2009 -> 11:40 PM) What an ass whupping the Vikes gave Green Bay,they are clearly the best team in the NFC North, would love to see them play the Giants and the Saints to see which is the best NFC team right now. I really doubt that the saints could hang with the vikes. The Saints would cry home to mommy after any game with Minny.
  5. QUOTE (T R U @ Oct 5, 2009 -> 10:30 PM) They are the best team in the NFL I agree. Not because of favre, but because their Oline and Dline combo is the best in football.
  6. I would be interested to know who voted Jeter, and why?
  7. QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 4, 2009 -> 05:58 PM) to: Beckham Konerko Getz Buehrle Danks Floyd Peavy Garcia Thornton Carrasco Ramirez Podsednik Kotsay Thome Everyone else, here's to a better 2010! pierzynski?
  8. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Oct 4, 2009 -> 09:15 PM) Everyone is. People are saying Roach sucks. Are you kidding? He played a great game. Who cares how many points Detroit scored? The Bears scored 24 more. I am on the side of giving Detroit some credit. They have some pretty good weapons and stafford made some pretty good throws. Kudos to the second half play calling by Lovie on the 2nd half. Nice situational pressure in the 2nd half.
  9. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Oct 4, 2009 -> 07:28 PM) This. Why the f*** are you throwing at Champ Bailey? Repeatedly! Romo needs to get his s*** together ASAP. Actually this entire team looked like a sorority girl at last call, sloppy. I'm tired of watching this team gift wrap wins already. cowboys seem way too pass happy.
  10. QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 4, 2009 -> 06:24 PM) I hope this is a start to high scoring this year for the Bears. They could average 30 points a game easy; unfortunately, their D could give up 35. I don't see that.
  11. QUOTE (T R U @ Oct 3, 2009 -> 03:59 PM) I wouldn't, because this is Soxtalk not MLBtalk. Its kinda unfair though that the Packers fans on here cant use the NFL thread because 90% of the board hates the Packers. f*** the packers, with that said, all packer fans are welcome in this thread. PS f*** the packers
  12. QUOTE (MattZakrowski @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 09:06 PM) Ashamed to say this, but I'm the first to lose to the cpu. Damn turnovers. almost happened to me too. I had to score 17 unanswered to win by one. 3 ints, 2 fumble returns for TDS and field goals of 58 and 60 yards almost ended me!
  13. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 02:09 AM) Im fine with allowing trades, I was thinking 1 or 2 in the off season. The guys id be trading are ones I didnt pick, Id be keeping Ed Reed and Forte. can't say I blame you, Forte is a multi-dimensional beast, while Reed is a damn ballhawk who will knock you to the IR.
  14. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 01:44 AM) My main concern was trading draft picks or trading older players for younger guys who are slightly lower rated but 10 years younger. Im assuming we will have to deal with cap penalties and everything as well so it should be interesting. I never seen any cap #'s online, so I imagine the madden servers are not capable to handle advanced statistics and high IQ for the AI.
  15. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 12:55 AM) Okay I tried to test trading and I think the computer accepts all trades. That being said I think the simplest solution for this season (offseason we could change rules) is that the only players that can be traded are those who were picked by the cpu, and they have to be traded for players of equal or lessor value. I proposed DE Kerney 93 for DT Tommie Harris 90 and LT Chris Samuels 93 for LT R Clady 91 I don't see the big deal if DB,Matt and Steve all wanted to do one trade. It makes the season fun as long as it's not out of hand and within reason. I think the no trade rule was in effect by DB because of the complexity (draft picks and AI acceptance rate) . So I don't think anyone will be trading any punters for Tom Brady. lol
  16. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 12:47 AM) From an outsider looking in, I'd say you both should be the only ones able to trade or everyone should trade and the both of you can trade one more extra, whatever the limit is (everyone-1; you both-2 or everyone-2; you both-3, whatever) to make it fair. Then again, I have no idea whats going on, so now I will crawl into my corner again.. Makes sense to me. Not trying to be greedy though.
  17. Don't do it! You don't trade a top 5 pick after week 3 for 2 guys who might not even be starters in a few weeks.
  18. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 12:13 AM) What i mean is: You and I had players not picked by us, so are we the only ones who can trade or can everyone trade. Since youre trading a player not picked by you im more inclined to approve regardless. I drafted the DT in my trade, but things are kinda messed up in my case because there is no way I would draft a OLB in the first round. I definitely would have went QB,DT,WR,OT,CB, or MLB.
  19. Does anyone have a list of the celebs who are going to Copenhagen ? (besides Oprah and the Obama's)
  20. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Oct 1, 2009 -> 11:57 PM) Are we limiting trades to just the players who werent drafted by us? Or are we opening it to all trades? Because if we are opening it to everyone than I think we need to limit trades to maybe 1 or 2 players a year with heavy restrictions. DB said there is no way to find draft results, so that would just be a wild goose chase. But a trade limit is probably the right thing to do, and I don't see much reason why everyone else can't do one trade if they wanted.
  21. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Oct 1, 2009 -> 11:47 PM) I said I didnt oppose. I think its fair, I just dont like it because I know it helps you lol.
  22. Overall the average ratings are 89.3 - 90 and the average age is 28.6 - 30.3
  23. Palmer is rated higher than romo. Romo does fit my style of play though. Palmer is such a statue out there, but has a much stronger arm. regardless, it's 88-87. And the best player in the entire trade comes from my side, a defensive guy with a 98 rating who is under 30. After the AI selected my first few picks, this trade is all I really want, but if it is overwhelmingly opposed, then I'll look into another deal.
  24. if anyone is not alright with this let me know. No more trades would be necessary after this one. here are the ratings and ages Palmer age 30 rating 88 Ware age 28 rating 98 Babineaux age 28 rating 82 Romo age 30 rating 87 Seymore age 30 rating 97 Pierce age 31 rating 86
