  1. Scheduled to have a baseball clinic for kids in Brighton Park neighborhood today, not more than a 15 minute drive from the stadium, and no one from the organization shows. Just awful. Whole org from bottom and especially at the very top is so pitiful. Yet the cubs charities are able to renovate several south side fields no problem.
  2. Nah, but it sure does feel like someone kicked you there when it snaps.
  3. A shake? Milk and ice cream?? You don't put bourbon in it or anything?
  4. Fanatics plays a role for sure. They're monopolizing sports apparel and have more than enough power to have some sort of say.
  5. They're a business. It's ALWAYS about money. Nike didn't really move away from leather footwear because of innovation. It's always about money. Majestic Athletic had a factory in PA. Then, it seems Nike was just slapping a swoosh on Majestic Athletic jerseys. Now that Nike is finally manufacturing their own, this is the quality we will get. I really wonder what Under Armour would have done. And I dread the day New Era is pushed out.
  6. They shouldn't have fucked up the Chance the Rapper partnership and continued to have good music festivals instead.
  7. Pretty naive to believe that the head coach was completely unaware of years of systemic hazing, bullying, and abuse happening right under his nose. Making black assistant coaches cut their dreads wasn't a good look either.
  8. Hmm, an admin posting links to unlicensed merch...
  9. Not even as bad as their "inside-out" caps from a few years back, I think.
  10. Definitely the case with most collectibles. New Era fitted caps in theme-inspired color combinations and random patches now go for up to $60 from certain boutiques in smaller quantities that instantly sell out and then $150+ resale. It's definitely entrenched in that limited edition streetwear culture right now. It'll die down eventually though...but the cost of a basic New Era Sox cap is at about $45 and only going up. And of course, the quality has gone down significantly, especially since they are no longer made in the USA.
