I have no idea how to post a clip but go to the 21 minute, 20 second mark on this to see just a sick Wilson Chandler dunk from yesterday on a usf player. mms://a3.v20473a.c20473.g.vc.akamaistream.net/7/3/20473/v0001/espn.download.akamai.com/20473/t_assets/20070217/b5ffa9ce20eda8d57889cf4abf3eecaa1076090e.wmv?s=espn360&c=Basketball Sure, I'm being biased, but one of my favorite dunks in college basketball of the year. If anything, he's had some other nice ones this year... -
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Feb 18, 2007 -> 03:33 PM) Bobby Jenks is still fat: Was there almost an exact pic of Bobby like this last year? If my bad memory serves me correct...

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 18, 2007 -> 12:25 AM) That dunk contest was PATHETIC, and the 2 best dunks (Tyrus jumping over Ben and finishing lefty, who is 6'2 to Nate Robinson's 5'8, and Dwight Howard's 12'6" sticker thing) didn't even make the finals. That contest is the kind that sends the thing into oblivion, simliar to 1996 when the white guy in his Clipper warm ups, Brent Barry, won. That would have ended the thing all together if not for Kobe and Vince Carter coming around. It wasn't that bad at all. My favorite was the "dee brown" dunk. I luved how he put thought and effort into it. The right guy won. Would've been nice to see if dwight howard had anything else up his sleeve... tyrus performed exactly as I expected. Actually, I'm surprised he didn't just go up for a regular dunk and turn around and ask for his check... Jordan was a harsh judge. The knick bavetta - barkley kiss was disgusting. Seeing PIP in a Bulls uniform was my favorite part. -

QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Feb 17, 2007 -> 02:03 AM) Not really. Far, far from a mascot in today's college world. A mascot is like Purdue Pete or Sparty who runs around the sideline high fiving fans, leading cheers, going nuts on camera, and doing stunts with students and cheerldears alike. You can hate the Chief all you want, but to use that definition is terrible. It was a mascot... -

QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Feb 16, 2007 -> 01:36 PM) You and Sleepy both completely missed the point. Check the post that I was responding to. If this was baseball, you'd be telling me that pitching and defense rules all. I don't know how basketball would be any different from a philosophical standpoint. I don't know why I torture myself. I'll step away from the computer now. Nope, I didn't. You said Bill Russell couldn't get a max contract today and I offered ben wallace's current contract as a starting point of what type of contract he could get. He'd probably be making very good, superstar-type money. And tyson doesn't even belong in the same sentence with Bill Russell... Just wait 'til Oden finishes up his rookie contract to get an idea of what type of contract Bill Russell would be getting. -

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 16, 2007 -> 01:09 PM) I'd agree that it's classless all the way, but Coppock is about 6'5 and in decent shape, he should have been able to hold his own. It's been described as a sucker punch... -

QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Feb 16, 2007 -> 01:12 PM) Bill Russell would NOT have been a max contract player if he played today. Dan Majerle >>>> Bill Russell I gotcha. From a philosophical standpoint, I might as well be a martian on these here boards. Bill Russell's D >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> tyson chandler's D The Ben Wallace contract is an excellent meter to imagine what Bill Russell would be getting nowadays. He'd probably be very well off. No matter how much you play up his "help defense," he's still a subpar one-on-one defender. And give me his length, wingspan, and height and I'm blocking 2+ shots a game in the NBA with my eyes closed... -
I'd take hardenne over either williams...maybe...

QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Feb 16, 2007 -> 12:06 PM) If decedents from any one of the Peoria, Tamaroa, Moingwena, Michigamea, Kaskaskia, or Cahokia tribes come out and say they are deeply wronged by the sporting mascot of a collegiate institution, I can accept that. They have, haven't they? -

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 16, 2007 -> 11:12 AM) I heard that the other day and laughed for about 10 minutes. The interesting thing is the Bears ESPN 1000 pregame show seems cursed right now, Coppock got his ass kicked, and Mongo hasn't been seen for 2 weeks (according to Mac, Jurko, and Harry yesterday). Sad thing is he's 58. Some 25-year-old marquette alum shouldn't be senselessly beating up a 58-year-old man. That's disgusting... -

QUOTE(SnB @ Feb 16, 2007 -> 11:14 AM) The dance wasn't racist. If FSU can do it, we should be able to do it, period. There's virtually no opposition at FSU for it. No controversy. With all the controversy and so many people against it at illinois, might as well just let it go. Sounds like it had to be done. -

QUOTE(thedoctor @ Feb 16, 2007 -> 09:59 AM) illinois does have an offer out to 08 point guard lewis jackson, although there is a lot of debate over whether he or jackson are better players. DePaul has offered too. And verdell jones was at DePaul's "Blue Madness."

I thought it was horrible and would rather watch the white rapper show.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Feb 15, 2007 -> 01:07 PM) It is wrong to you, maybe to him is it not. Who are you, I or anyone else to tell someone what is right and wrong. That's his own personal decision. Like I said, I don't agree with him, but to just tell someone they are flat out wrong for feeling a certain way, well I just don't agree with that at all. The guy is entitled to think and say what he feels, provided he is ready to deal with the ramifications, as I stated earlier. So let me get this straight...he's fully entitled to have an opinion, but my opinion that he's in the wrong is unacceptable??

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 15, 2007 -> 01:31 PM) To me hate is hate. I don't care whether someone saids they hate a particular group or not, or lies about it and acts PC, to me that doesn't change the person that they are at all. They are still bigots whether it is covert or overt. I'm also baffled that people think it's ok to spew hate as long as you're being "honest."
