  1. QUOTE(MSHAWKS @ Aug 21, 2006 -> 07:37 PM) This season, when all is said and done, will be considered a complete disappointment. Goes without saying that the next 3 games are huge...
  2. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 21, 2006 -> 07:18 PM) And you're a very optimistic, laid-back poster. But if we get swept, I'm starting my own pessimistic rant thread.
  3. QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Aug 21, 2006 -> 07:27 PM) We could have actually gotten rid of some of the dead weight on our roster and given McCarthy a shot. Why does everyone doubt that Kenny didn't explore plenty of options? He's proven to be a fair trader, so the offers must not have been very fair.
  4. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Aug 21, 2006 -> 07:23 PM) We look so f***ing sluggish and lazy on offense The pitching ain't too hot either...
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 21, 2006 -> 07:16 PM) I honestly think it's debatable if Pods even has great speed now. He's lost two steps, in my opinion. I just keep telling myself..."just a few more months of pods."
  6. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Aug 21, 2006 -> 03:03 PM) So a fan is one who s***s all over their team every chance they get, only to come back and say "CROW" when something goes right? Stay home. Yep. In my opinion, people can choose to be whatever type of fan that they wanna be, but I thoroughly enjoyed last year believing in my team and (almost) always having faith that they could do it. I still think they can do it this year too. (And yes, I recognize all of the team's faults but just don't feel the need to complain about it incessantly.) I can't imagine enjoying being a fan as much if I were the type that completely loses faith and predicts doom over and over and over and over again during the rough times.
  7. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 21, 2006 -> 01:21 PM) The time to savor the world title was the time between the last pitch of the WS and the first pitch of the 2006 season. I'm gonna savor it for the rest of my life...
  8. QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 21, 2006 -> 09:21 AM) I'd take Barkley's honesty over Jordan's fakeness anyday. I wouldn't mind barkley if not for his tendency to spit on little girls and throw people through windows...
  9. THE THREE REASONS WHY WE STRUGGLE THIS YEAR: 1. Buehrle 2. Javy 3. Freddy
  10. Be them through the course of a lifetime.
  11. 2006 Maui Invitational Game 3, Monday, Nov. 20th DePaul vs. Kentucky, 8 PM Central, espn 2
  12. QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Aug 11, 2006 -> 05:14 PM) Cavemen throw bones in the air when they see 1x4x9 monoliths. 2001
  13. Agree with me on everything and you're a great poster.
  14. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 3, 2006 -> 11:09 PM) If you use Firefox you can download this extension which is pretty much the spiff, it allows you to download any streaming video over the internet. thanx
  15. I'm dumb with computers...how do you save a video like from youtube or myspace, if possible?
  16. Anybody know what he was hitting on the radar gun during the wbc?
  17. STOCK SOARING: Boys to Men Academy center Nayal "Mac'' Koshwal, who played at Julian from 2003 to '05, has seen his stock soar. He is ranked as the state's No. 2 prospect by talent scout Bob Gibbons of All Star Sports. DePaul led a number of suitors that were on hand for all of his games for the Chicago Jaguars in Las Vegas. "Mac is not close to making a decision right now,'' Boys to Men coach Loren Jackson said. "But DePaul is at the top of his list.'' http://www.suntimes.com/output/prep/cst-spt-prep30.html
  18. It's probably been asked before, but are we paying all of his contract? If not, how much?
  19. QUOTE(iamshack @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 02:53 PM) I am shocked at how Brandon can do no wrong around here... He wouldn't struggle if he was a starter...
