  1. I luv that feeling that you're never really out of it...
  2. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ May 22, 2006 -> 10:20 PM) This completely erases yesterday's loss against the Cubs. More than winning to keep pace with Detroit, this win happened against OAKLAND. The team that has had our number. I said in the chat--and in this thread--when Ozuna had the mistake it was exactly the type of flukely play in pasts years against Oakland which let to losses. Not this time. I feel good knowing Beane must feel upset. And Bobby "did his job" by not letting the errors and mistakes get to him. I luv the intensity and ice-water veins he shows.
  3. QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 22, 2006 -> 10:18 PM) I wanted to replace him too. Of course Pods could have pulled that off too. He's not the best at bunting...
  4. QUOTE(ShoeLessRob @ May 22, 2006 -> 08:22 PM) If uribe grounds into one then who will be on base for anderson?? Details, details...you're supposed to pile on about how much we hate them...
  5. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 22, 2006 -> 08:06 PM) What's the score in San Antone? Mavs 62-46 with like 30 seconds left in the 1st half.
  6. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ May 22, 2006 -> 08:06 PM) Don't tell me what to do. They did wonders for us last year. Maybe they're good luck?
  7. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 22, 2006 -> 07:55 PM) More boos this time for Frank. He's officially an enemy after the 1st at-bat, I guess.
  8. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ May 22, 2006 -> 07:39 PM) It's a good thing that Squirrel didn't crawl up Garland's pant leg. He'd starve to death Booo...
  9. QUOTE(fathom @ May 22, 2006 -> 07:35 PM) Tigers up 5-0. They're getting some nice production from their SS/CF lately. But can they fight?
  10. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 22, 2006 -> 07:30 PM) LOL bingo. We'd lose every game if everyone's negative predictions on soxtalk came true... Welcome home, judy.
  11. QUOTE(WCSox @ May 22, 2006 -> 11:20 AM) Cotts then gives up a two-run homer to lose it. So, no, Neal didn't do his job. That wasn't the first error in baseball ever. He still should have put it behind him and kept pitching. Back your team up. Uribe deserves a lot of the blame, but Cotts isn't faultless nor did he "do his job."
  12. QUOTE(Princess Dye @ May 21, 2006 -> 01:29 PM) i dont at all agree that bowling-over-the-catcher should be taken out of baseball. but he's right that Brian Anderson was being an idiot. i mean, most everyone else was holding back from throwing all-out punches, except him. why is that? is he this GREAT teammate everyone here thinks he is, because he did it? or just immature as hell? how isnt everyone seeing that action as just lowering himself to Barrett's level? BA was coming in AJ's defense, not stupidly initiating the whole mess for no sensible reason. Therefore, I don't see how he was at barrett's level.
  13. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ May 22, 2006 -> 01:02 AM) I'd love to see Gary get a ring. :puke His talking to s*** to Wade was disgusting. I hate huge, unwarranted egos.
  14. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ May 21, 2006 -> 10:47 PM) If it wasn't obvious before, yesterday proved it. I realize the entire "controversy = circulation/web hits' angle. My problem is, what he's doing isn't honest journalism. In past columns, I've never doubted his views as anything other than his skewed personal beliefs. His comments atleast appeared genuine; even if they were wrong. This mornings article was utter crap. Completely unbelievable, as if Mike Kiley and Mike Murphy wrote it for him. This situation is similar to Around the Horn (during "showdowns") where both contestants usually adopt different arguments for a topic. Most of the time one viewpoint is obviously correct, yet they'll still oppose it for the sake of television. I understand that. You wonder if he wrote his article merely, as you suggested, to offer a different opinion to incite controversy. Perhaps he's purposely lashing out on AJ because he dislikes him. Or maybe he wrote the article to give the impression he's not impartial to the White Sox. Whatever the reason, I'm sure it wasn't because he felt everything was justified. I shouldn't be upset, but it still manages to aggrivate me. Exactly. He isn't even being honest to himself. It's sad when he purposely goes against the obvious just to rile people up, even if it works or not. Makes him look like scum.
  15. I'm not a fan of the new york hype machine...
  16. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 21, 2006 -> 11:03 PM) Perhaps he thought a team with some decent young talent and solid veteran leadership would atleast attempt to win some games, even if they ended up sucking horribly they would atleast put forth some effort. Perhaps, but which team is that? The words "talent" and "solid" don't fit on that team, and it wasn't so tough to figure out prior to the season. It's just a sad situation, but I would feel more for the young players brought up through the system with no choice than for those who choose to be on the team. And I really hate losing to them.
  17. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 22, 2006 -> 01:09 AM) It's one of those cheap knockoffs that you can buy on 35th street for $10 that last like 4 washes. They're not that bad, but I wouldn't pay 10 bucks for them.
  18. Read it twice. Surprisingly, I still don't get it...
  19. s***ty and lazy defense...lol...
  20. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 21, 2006 -> 08:11 PM) Learn how to read. My original post claimed that this was taken from another site and that I had no official confirmation. lol I was kidding. Just a goofy reference to something else. My bad.
  21. QUOTE(Sox It To Em @ May 21, 2006 -> 08:03 PM) Anyone find any official confirmation regarding this? Neither cubs.com nor espn.com have anything about it. I'm wondering the same thing and am getting ready to ask the pot-stirrer/troll who posted this to get banned.
