QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 2, 2006 -> 08:25 AM) Maybe that was it. Also my expectations were for more of a buzz, a rally type atmosphere, but it felt more like a festival type feeling. I have been to a few rallies and speaking engagement, and there is a certian high that people have coming out of them, and that wasn't there yesterday. I know when I attended the rally for steel workers who didn't want Bush to drop the steel tariffs a few years ago, people were leaving that rally buzzing, and ready for action. I got the same feeling after attending a rally for the Democratic Socialists of America. I expected that yesterday, but I didn't see it at all. To me it was strange, and not at all what I would have thought. Didn't you admit to getting there after it was over? The accounts that I've heard are different from yours, and it sounded like there was certainly a buzz and rally atmosphere during the march and main speakers.

There's absolutely no way that only 60% are working... -
QUOTE(kapkomet @ May 1, 2006 -> 12:48 PM) And that's coincidence. That's not the direct reason for the inital protests. lol Actually, that was the exact reason for the initial protests.

QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Apr 28, 2006 -> 04:16 PM) Protests are very American. The Bill of Rights, which is the single greatest American idea has protesting included in the First Amendment, the most sacred of all Amendments. Creating a spanish version of the National Anthem? So what, it would be like getting in a hissy fit that a Sox game was also being shown with SAP. OMG a Sox game being announced in spanish?! Its a song, and if Mexican's want to sing our song in Spanish, then let them. They are still singing the American National Anthem, they are still showing reverence to our country. Are they willing to die for our country? I dont know, I would expect that if they were let into our country as citizens, and felt that this was their country that they would fight for it just as any other American would. As for they are coming over for only "$" that was the case of many immigrants. Well also because they were starving, being persecuted, etc. They all came to America, for something better. I wish the American govt would just allow more immigration, which would solve the problem. Most immigrants would prefer to come over legally. And I like how that Spanish "version" is causing controversy when the idea was from a British music producer, Wyclef Jean is in it, and he hardly looks Hispanic, and most of the artists are Cuban and Puerto-Rican...It's just a ploy to make money, folks, and it wasn't something brought about by the true groups and organizers of these protests... Interesting how there desire for being American citizens is being questioned when thats exactly what they're asking for...

So michelson was the only one to say he'd donate all of his earnings? I wonder what the "chunk" is that the others are being asked to chip in. -
QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Apr 28, 2006 -> 01:21 PM) First off, what do you take me for, a common moron? No comment.

QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 08:29 PM) For me, this is not only an issue of a misleading product/service, but safety. Can you elaborate on the "unsafe area"? What made it unsafe? I, too, have no idea how the BBB works, but it doesn't sound to me like it's something they can really take action on. Planes, for example, are almost always late, and rude customer service seems to be the norm nowadays. I'd say take your business elsewhere, which may have been the nest option after you encountered problems the first time. (Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.) The less people use their services, the less likely they'll stay in business.

QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 09:35 PM) "Make their impact felt" is not the same as bringing the country to its knees. 'See how important we are for a day' is not the same as 'We'll use scorched earth tactics until you capitulate'. -
QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 07:11 PM) This was a knee-jerk reaction. I'm actually starting to love the name. Not yet for me.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 02:41 PM) Who the hell else uses it and how? I guess I've attempted to throw up in one, but seriously, perhaps a sitting male? Chimps? Queen's hampsters?

QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 04:59 PM) I love the fact that people call a demonstration intimidation yet a threat to make 12 million instant felons and put everyone that looks Latino subject to scrutiny over their papers is just a legislative agenda. -
QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 12:32 PM) No, not WTF. Its Wii. I really liked the name Revolution, and I'm not liking this new name. Just like I don't like the name "the cell" and still call the park Comiskey, I'm gonna keep calling it the Revolution. I prefer nintendo over xbox or playstation and am anxiously awaiting the Revolution (and its low cost), but I'm still skeptical. I hope there's playable demos and LOTS of good news coming from E3. And I don't wanna be reminded of a gigantic teenage female golf player that looks like she has Down's while I'm playing video games. (Sorry, bad joke.)

QUOTE(Iwritecode @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 08:24 PM) One question. Why didn't you just buy one from Target and return the first one back to Wal-Mart? Or return the Target one to wal-mart? It has almost always worked for me with a receipt, and at department stores too, but I've never tried it with an item over about sixty dollars...Once an item clearly had the pricing sticker from a different store but it didn't matter since the item was the same as on the receipt... Edit: But I don't shop at wal-mart. My success has been at Target and K-Mart along with department stores...

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 09:00 PM) I'm taking the practice ACT tomorrow sweet...what cool picture should I draw with the bubbles? QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 02:25 PM) If you want to just wait, the Nintendo revolution will have a fully downloadable back-catalog of every game that existed on a Nintendo, Turbo GraphX, and Sega Genesis system So I'll be playing bonk's adventure on the Revolution??? I hadn't heard the sega part either, where'd you see that? And I wonder if you can still hook up GC controllers like one of the 1st mock-ups showed... Can't wait to see what Nintendo does next month at E3 And by the way, I think I want a navy blue DS Lite...

QUOTE(3E8 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 11:16 AM) If I remember correctly, you narrowed your choice of schools down to a few that weren't even close to the upper echelon. In which case you have no reason to be nervous about an ACT score. Spell your name correctly and you should be alright. lol You still wanna do well for scholarships and placement...

It's understandable that the Bulls are gonna a little bit of preference at this point.
