2006 White Sox Ticket Sales @ US Cellular Field
SleepyWhiteSox replied to SouthSidePride05's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 12:47 PM) How is that? You can't return tickets. Because they're projections of sellouts and not necessarily confirmed sellouts? -

QUOTE(Felix @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 11:24 PM) 24 seconds for those sort of questions is more than enough time, especially when most take 5-10 seconds, and you get to use the excess time on other questions which might be a bit more difficult. They get a lot harder towards the end... The average of all who take it is in the lower 20's, I think. 30's is a very, very good score. But who knows, maybe you are a genius. I don't know you well enough to know just how intelligent you are. I'm just speaking from experience because I've taken it. It's not as easy as you're making it sound. I was kind of disappointed when I saw which QBs had scored more than me. -

QUOTE(Felix @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 10:59 PM) 50 questions in 12 minutes. What's your point? If its anything like this, its easy as hell. It isn't as easy. -

QUOTE(Felix @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 10:48 PM) You can't answer easy questions in 12 minutes? That's more than enough time. It's 50 questions, and they vary in difficulty. I think they progressively get harder. -
Thomas takes high road in response to Williams

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 08:57 PM) Well, eventually Dolan will realize that Isiah has put this mess together, and in order to fix it he will have to rid himself of his "prized" GM. I honestly can not think of one trade Thomas has made in his entire career as a NY Knick GM that didnt make me scratch my head and wonder what the hell he was doing. If I didnt know better(and maybe I dont, who knows), I would say that Isiah Thomas is deliberately sabotaging the Knicks. Sure, that is something you wouldnt think could happen, but can you honestly look at the transaction log throughout his time as GM and see any sort of method to the madness? I sure cant. I like what you have to say about tyson in your sig... -

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 07:22 PM) I took one and only missed 1 question and I don't think I'm close to being a genius. The test is 50 questions, and it's timed at 12 minutes, I believe. The number that you get right is your score. The time has as much to do with it as the difficulty of the questions. Are you sure that's the one you took? I only took it because graduates from the DePaul I/O psych. program work at Wonderlic, so they came into my stats class a couple of years ago to talk about it. They also gave us a test to take and were very careful to make sure that they got every copy back because it was one they were still developing/testing. Can't remember what I scored but I know it wasn't very high... -
I'll go with Home Run Inn on this one...

QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 03:35 PM) What a dumb test. These are questions you ask someone in 5th or 6th grade. It's timed. -
Crede...less letters to remove when he's gone and you wanna change the name. Anybody else think the road grey is the ugliest? There's a few throwbacks I like better than it too. Only road jerseys I like are in basketball...

Anyone see that new MJ commercial?
SleepyWhiteSox replied to maggsmaggs's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 04:18 PM) The best Jordan commercial ever came out about 10 years ago. It's called "Frozen Moment". He's going up against the Lakers and everything is in slow motion. Everybody stops what they're doing, no matter what it is, just to watch. It's really good. I'll try and find it. Good call. The link didn't work for me, but I remember it well. I can still picture the spin move and water dripping from a faucet, I think. Must've been '97 since those are the shoes it was for. I also like the more recent one where he plays a younger version of himself. -

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 02:13 PM) I'd have to think it might be a bit easier the second time around. A 16 is still nothing to write home about. The average NFL QB is a 24. Lots of guys practice for it. Anybody else ever taken it? It's a bit trickier to score high than I expected...guess I'm not that smart. -
Still wish Kenny would have stuck with the high-road approach...

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 05:06 PM) By the way, Falco's on Archer is the best for thin crust and certain Giordano's locations still make the best deep dish. Screw Lou Malnatti and Uno. Yep.

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 02:24 AM) I hear that all the time. And I get it. But taking a 20 win team (I think the Lakers would win atleast 20 games without him) and making them a 40 win team, give or take a couple wins, doesn't make you the MVP. Or even a legitimate MVP canidate. Look no further then 1987. Michael Jordan averaged 37.1 ppg. He became the first perimiter player in history to record over 200 steals and 100 blocks in the same season. He didn't sniff the MVP. The Bulls only won 40 games. Good point, but the level of talent doesn't seem the same either...I don't see nash winning it in the 80's-90's... -
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 26, 2006 -> 02:37 AM) So, I'm sorry, but I have absolutely no idea what I'm supposed to be seeing here. The whole site looks exactly the same here on my PC. What am I missing? Did you click on the link at the top of the 1st post?

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Feb 25, 2006 -> 12:47 AM) Haha nah, I just had to say it because Tyson is playing his ass off and people still dwell on the past. It's over nothing we can do except appreciate Tyson. Elton looks better on defense too. -

Brand is absolutely dominating the lakers... Anybody else see him strip kobe and take it down the court for the dunk??? Such a joy to watch. He's having a phenomenal game (once again)... -
QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Feb 24, 2006 -> 12:13 PM) Listen, I love That 70's Show, but Topher Gracie does not spring Venom into my mind, i'm worried it will be a lot of CGI to enhance the costume, I would prefer them getting a bigger actor and have it more natural looking. Yep, he doesn't have the right build and there's no way he can bulk up enough. Ruins it for me a little too...

Your Least Favorite New York Knick!

QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Feb 24, 2006 -> 02:46 PM) If you're a bulls fan you sure as hell better be voting for Jalen Rose. His time as a Bull was beyond painful to watch. His routine as a Bull: Drive into the lane, throw up lame ass shot, miss badly, whine to refs, fail to get back on defense, repeat. Granted, he had no supporting cast, but still that was pure torture. I'm more bitter about not having Brad Miller and Artest... I have a soft spot for DePaul guys and am lenient towards most former Bulls... My vote for "other" goes towards pat riley. -
lol I feel kinda goofy answering this one... But I wonder how many times I've envisioned myself hitting last-second game winners in my hoop outside growing up...and still do... Or even imagining dominating a game and dunking on a little hoop on my door in my room... I'd say SG for the Bulls. Bringing them back to prominence.

QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Feb 24, 2006 -> 12:56 PM) Players like Kirk Hinrich are insanely hard to find if we're talking intangibles, IMO. I used to think that he wasn't cut out for the point, but I was pretty much dead wrong. Yeah, I used to cringe when people on here would say that duhon is the better PG... -
Bucks vs. Bulls + Trade deadline talk

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 24, 2006 -> 11:57 AM) Dude, it's not the Bulls...It's Jerry Krause. You just can't blame the whole organization for stuff Krause did. I'm still going to hope that in 3-4 years when this whole team is assembled and developed...the next set of rings will make us all forget the growing pains. I'm well aware of that and didn't blame the whole organization. Not sure where it seemed I was blaming the whole organization...It was just light teasing because of the silly thing hammer has in his sig. Anyways, it's all bias. I do blame krause a lot, and Pax has some blame for the current situation (like drafting a 6 foot SG). I just don't let tyson off easy like most...krause also took Crawford after he had only played only a few games in college, and he was forced into being the primary scorer on a s***ty team, so I don't blame him or hate him all that much either... If tyson adds some muscle, starts going strong to the hoop instead of flailing his arms, stops being worthless on offense, and cuts down on the stupid fouls, and becomes consistent, I won't dislike him so much. Easy as that. He's capable, but I still question his mental capacity. Here's hoping I'm wrong, but I'm not gonna slurp him because I think he's possibly capable of it someday. -
