  1. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 09:17 PM) Tyson might get 20+ rebounds tonight if he stays out of foul trouble. lol...
  2. QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 12:46 PM) I wouldn't go to DePaul if I were him. They already recruited two fairly talented PG's in the past two years in Curry and Walker. They also are seriously out-classed in the Big East. They just don't have the wing players or big men to hang with the good teams, and only Clarke and Chandler really have any hope. Now if he were to play for the Illini... Don't hate... Sammy is a senior next year. Walker seems like a scorer. Manual Cass, a PF playing at Boys to Men (and already somewhat problematic), is coming. Chandler will have a year under his belt. And we've got a 7'1 transfer from Temple next year. I'll gladly take another guard if he can help the team.
  3. I did all of my school notes in cursive through high school. For some reason I switched to printing my notes in college. And yeah, the smudging sucks being a lefty.
  4. QUOTE(3E8 @ Feb 10, 2006 -> 03:03 PM) Does injuring your pride count?
  5. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Feb 10, 2006 -> 02:10 PM) Arenas has been named to replace JO http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/allstar2006/...tory?id=2325922 Good.
  6. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Feb 10, 2006 -> 02:53 AM) Ahh ok, I thought I read that somewhere but I was obviously wrong. But they've definitely picked up their play ever since the Artest acquisition. I think it's 9 straight at home.
  7. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Feb 9, 2006 -> 11:04 PM) Sorry, I've never felt making the playoffs in the NBA is really that great of an accomplishment. For recent Bulls teams it is and I'll give him some credit for that, but a 1st round exit and right back to mediocrity isn't really leading a team somewhere IMO. Hinrich was the right pick at that slot though and I'm not going to argue otherwise. Fair enough, but he was an integral part of them getting the 3rd best record in the East. It wasn't a 7-8 seed one-and-done. You just can't blame him for this year. It was almost expected when you consider there is no real post presence.
  8. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Feb 9, 2006 -> 10:59 PM) Didn't say they would have. But its not like Hinrich has led the Bulls anywhere although that obviously isn't his fault. Playoffs last year?
  9. QUOTE(q\/\/3r+y @ Feb 9, 2006 -> 10:57 PM) well we did get brand but he didn't like it here anyway. He was leaving as soon as he could via free agency. Proof? Oh, or maybe it's just speculation...He said he would have stayed as recently as yesterday in the trib...
  10. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Feb 9, 2006 -> 10:54 PM) Lebron's defense could be absolutely amazing if he ever commits to it. And he already is one of the best offensive and all around players in the league. Anyone who doesn't see that is crazy. But you can't make an argument that Hinrich is the worst of the 7 picks as Darko as played about 3 minutes in his career so far. But obviously Hinrich is not at the level of Carmelo, LeBron, Wade, Bosh, and Kaman is looking great lately. Probably would but Hinrich 6th, and there are players taken behind him who are either at his level or above him in TJ Ford, Boris Diaw, and David West. Out of all the years to not have a top 5 draft choice. darko, ford, diaw, or west would not have come in and helped the Bulls like Kirk did...Who will be better in the long run remains to be seen...
  11. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Feb 9, 2006 -> 10:50 PM) I'd take him over Kaman. And you would expect the 7th player picked to be ranked between 5-7 among those players, no? And if you look at like the next 15 (or more) picks, there's nobody else that's better. It was a good pick at that spot.
  12. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Feb 9, 2006 -> 02:40 PM) Spelling is the first side affect of the pattened Sleepy Rufi-Colada. Gigity, Gigity, Goo By the way, I prefer the name "Sleepy's Love Potion." And since it kinda got turned into a DePaul basketball discussion, I'll just mention that I went to a little (literally) pep rally tonight. Only about 60-80 students...not even enough for a proper "fire Wainwright" chant. But I did snatch up a couple of Blue Demons wristbands, even though they look like the cubs ones.
  13. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Feb 9, 2006 -> 10:33 PM) Our draft pick is gonna be right in the same neighborhood if we miss the playoffs or make them and get swept. And I said last lotto pick Not if we keep losing...
  14. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Feb 9, 2006 -> 09:46 PM) The Sonics actually have been playing well and are at or over .500. I would have liked to seen Paul in the big game though as well. I would've removed Parker for him since they're both PG's. Wow. Eleven games under is nowhere near .500. Were you thinking of last year? And as much as I like Paul, I'm fine with the selections. He'll get his due in time. And I certainly wouldn't drop Parker. Twenty and six dimes for the best team in the West while holding it down with Duncan and Manu hurting should get you in. I'd maybe drop rip for Arenas...
  15. I'll be the first to admit that I've only seen two Texas games, and not completely, but Aldridge hasn't really stood out. His numbers aren't eye-popping either. How's his upside? Who can he be compared to? Where's a good place to see some scouting stuff on him?
  16. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Feb 9, 2006 -> 02:49 PM) True we should take this to the Hoops Thread I really thought he was a more fundamentally sound coach, but thus far he has not shown an ability to get his team to run a structured offense but its been terribly inconsistent. And I knew the Big East would be tough but they just haven't shown up for a number of their games this year. Very sad. The team must listen to too much rap music (hopeless attempt to get us back on topic) lol I agree completely. And even though he's supposed to be a defensive-minded coach, opposing 3-point shooters have career games against us. There's a lot wrong with the coaching and how the team is playing. Of course, I say "fire wainwright" tongue-in-cheek. It's way too early. I'm just upset at the whole hiring process to begin with. I really don't believe the best possible candidates were interviewed... But anyways, there's some good rap out there.
  17. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Feb 9, 2006 -> 02:37 PM) Her spelling is almost as bad as Steff's! So Sleepy your off the Wainright bandwagon already? Well, my apologies for taking this so far off topic... But yes, I am extremely disappointed in the job he's doing and am tired of the "new coach, young players, new tough conference" excuses. The losses were expected this year, but the fire and intensity I was hoping for just isn't there. No fight. It's disheartening when it almost seems as if they've given up on the season. He's been getting outcoached a lot this season.
  18. QUOTE(Steff @ Feb 9, 2006 -> 02:28 PM) What does the note in your avitar say..? What goes through every lady's mind when they think of me... Sleepy is my sexii babii
  19. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Feb 9, 2006 -> 02:27 PM) Tim Thomas would of been included. :banghead I thought it would matter that its expiring...my bad.
  20. QUOTE(Steff @ Feb 9, 2006 -> 02:26 PM) I was wondering when you were gonna get here and remark about that..
  21. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Feb 9, 2006 -> 09:34 AM) When I read the Bulls notes after the game recap today, boy was I glad to see this: Just say no to K-Mart! His skills arent worth his injuries. Wow, I didn't know he was owed that much. How would salaries match up trading du?
  22. QUOTE(Steff @ Feb 9, 2006 -> 10:24 AM) Touche... eh? lol...
  23. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Feb 9, 2006 -> 12:36 AM) Good list by the way. 4 BE teams...
