QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 1, 2006 -> 05:14 PM) That's EXACTLY why you let the police handle it. The Church sure as heck isn't capable. I'm sorry by I see nothing difficult about this situation. Any "Church justice" is a miscarriage of law. As long as they're innocent until proven guilty... I do think allegations should not be broadcast out into the public until after the authorities have properly investigated and provided solid proof.

QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Feb 1, 2006 -> 05:03 PM) It is not an authentic Native American dance, but an amalgamation of Plains "fancy dancing." Yes, the music was written by a band director, but, so what. That's the part I think causes the most problem because, let's be honest, it looks cartoonish and silly. I mean, you're admitting that it isn't even a real Native-American dance. It's kinda obvious why they might take less offense to a warrior-like image than to that crazy dance. -

QUOTE(Texsox @ Feb 1, 2006 -> 02:02 PM) I loved watching Tom pitch, but two seasons just doesn't make him more than a "rent a player" to me. Steff, you were 8 years old when he pitched for the Sox And you are probably correct about Frank, but I just can't root against him. I'm still hoping for 500 and a trip to Cooperstown. lol... But as was mentioned, it's self-advertisement. They're playing up the jerseys that they sell, and those are the players that they have. On a side note, I saw a bunch of M&N jerseys being sold at discount stores for 50 bucks (reg. price 250-300) because they were defective...and they only had 2-4XL. They looked fine to me, but keep a watchful eye if not purchasing directly from one of their official stores, I guess.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Feb 1, 2006 -> 02:41 PM) FSU can deal with their own problems moving forward, but the trend suggest that their mascot will be gone in due time as well, no matter how much money is throw at the issue. Thing is, there really is no movement at FSU to get rid of the Seminoles mascot. It isn't generic; the Seminole tribe is real, a part of Florida history, and has given its full blessing to the school. I think the problem at u of i is that it seems as if their has been some movement towards getting rid of the mascot. That would make the NCAA's decision much easier if there is already controversy. That's not the case at FSU as of now. -

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Jan 30, 2006 -> 12:42 PM) The thing I don't like about the Razzie's is that the choices for "worst actor" and such don't make sense. Sure, maybe Fantastic 4 was not a great movie (though I liked it kind of), but you can't really say Alba did a terrible job of acting. There were many films out there with truely bad acting in them. Hers was just a fairly high profile role in a movie people weren't crazy about. Same with a few of those other noms. Standing out is Tom Cruise. Come on, love him, like him, or hate him, but he was not bad in War Of The Worlds. He was actually very good in the movie, and I know of many people who are not Cruise fans who have said he was one of the things they liked about the movie. But because it is cool this year to hate the guy (I have never liked him, btw), he instantly gets a nomination in that area, since anyway to slag him off has got to be taken. Exactly. Agreed on both points. There were large parts of War of the Worlds that I enjoyed, and Alba is just so hot that I can't equate "bad" with her at all...

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jan 30, 2006 -> 03:46 AM) You know who would be perfect for you guys? Sam Dalembert. For the Bulls? Nah. How much money would we have been paying him and tyson to do the same thing?? Sadly, only one of them would be coming close to earning their pay... -

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jan 29, 2006 -> 01:39 PM) The funny thing is even though I was a huge Tyson fan I had to stick up for Curry because people like Qwerty/WHarris couple others would non-stop bash him lol.... well I hope they realize he was more important to this team than they first thought even though he isnt have a great season in NY either. Now its like Ben Gordon is their new player to hate and not realize what he brings to his team.... and even though I was a huge Gordan fan besides the 4th quarter last year when he was a joy to watch..... I have to stick up for him lol... but the hate threads on Gordon havent been as near as the Curry one's. -

QUOTE(q\/\/3r+y @ Jan 27, 2006 -> 09:58 PM) Chandler is making b****es look stupid. Is he showing signs of life? I was too busy watching Brand score the clippers' first 14 points...Just switched it over and saw tyson mishandle a great pass by Kirk for an easy inside shot, have to kick out to Kirk for a 3, and then mishandle the rebound and lose it to the wizards...Maybe I'm bad luck. -

Wow, you're horrible at parenting. Who in their right mind justifies doing their child's homework? Better yet, who brings up such a moronic action onto a message board just for the sake of arguing what anyone with common sense already knows is stupid?
