  2. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 05:07 PM) I see the analysis now. I dont like Timo. I dont think highly of Joe Borchard also. I guess I dont like white guys either. racist-sounding...
  3. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 05:06 PM) What do you mean? He's going yard!
  4. QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 04:18 PM) I think our bullpen and top 3 starters are awesome. I also love what Pods and Iguchi have done for us this season. But why is it such a crime to want upgrades in some other areas. Because of the overly-pessimistic you voice your opinions?
  5. QUOTE(That funky motion @ Jul 19, 2005 -> 09:12 PM) Polish,Blue slushie in center,Corn by home. I like the nachos if the chips are not stale and the buns are now cold on the polish. Food has went downhill this year. It was a sad day when my bun for a polish with onions fell apart. It wasn't nearly as fresh as in the past, and yeah, I agree that the food must be going a bit downhill...
  6. So are they giving away a pair or a single sock?
  7. Great article... I've been a Scoop fan since he was at Slam...
  8. Many people refused to call Buehrle an ace...Some people still probably do...
  9. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 12:25 AM) He's probably trying to tell you he's too cool for you...
  10. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 09:45 PM) I'm counting down the days until ESPN starts calling us the "b**** Sox." Talk about a clever and original insult...
  11. around the horn on espn has officially hit rock bottom... Unless he's been on it before...
  12. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 07:40 PM) Trivia Question: What are the three streets in Chicago that rhyme with vagina? Off the top of my head, Paulina is one, as long as you know how to say it right...
  13. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 04:42 PM) There is a thin line between irony and anything but in a lot of instances, and there a a gang of different types of irony, but the Eddy Curry thing is clearly ridiculous. There have been questions about his "heart." He had actual heart problems. See the connection? There is some irony in that, and it's far from ridiculous.
  14. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 04:21 PM) I'm pretty sure I'm biting wite's style here. Irony: It's like rain on your wedding day It's a free ride when you've already paid A traffic jam when you're already late A no-smoking sign on your cigarette break It's like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife Not Irony: Heart problems when you have no work ethic You're kidding, right? That song has been criticized before because most of the scenarios she presented were not ironic. Although debatable (you really have to reach and go for situational or possibly Socratic irony), most of that list is almost clearly not irony.
  15. QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 03:54 PM) Yes, and it drives me insane. Not only do I say it right, but I'll still drive you wild.
  16. I highly doubt he puts up 20 a night. I don't equate him with that type of consistency.
  17. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 02:10 PM) My slogan... Worst All-Star Ever Not even close...Hell, not even this year...
  18. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 02:03 PM) Often shortly after the birth of such intergender individuals, the reconstructive surgeons will consult with parents as to which way they want to construct near-normal genitalia and they will base their reccomendation on which sex organs is most complete or best developed. Do you think it's best to let them decide when they're old enough?
  19. I recall there being an island where this happens and there's a name for it that I believe translates "penis dropping at noon or midnight"? I think the girls are younger than 21 though...
  20. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 08:22 AM) I really like Scoop Jackson. He is like a quiet, smart, respectful version of Stephen A Smith. I do too. I used to subscribe to Slam magazine and have always enjoyed his work.
  21. Source? Can't there be something in the contract that lets them get out of it if something happens the first year? I guess the language would be similar to maggs' contract... I heard Scoop Jackson talking about that as being the best option, and I definitely was agreeing...
  22. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 01:22 AM) It's ok man. Some people are just crabby. I had actually forgotten about the trade thread, so I didn't even know we were that interested in Burnett... Damn, that thread grows quickly...I don't bother to read through it...
